Demonstrated Love

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Can you even try to image or comprehend even though you hated God, Jesus still died for you! When you try to grasp this you understand what a wonderful Lord we serve. Jesus was willing to pay the price, to suffer and die for your sins, so he can save you from eternal damnation. How do we understand this deep love our God has demonstrated towards us?

Think about this, the Lord of Heaven and Earth came down to take our place! When would a Creator die for his creation? When has mercy ever been demonstrated to this capacity ever before? Yet we were still lawless creatures Christ died for us

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 5:9

The original Greek word for justified is “dikaiothentes” means to make innocent. Think about that, you are made innocent before God by the blood of Jesus Christ. The power in his blood cleanses us from our sin, there is no greater power in all the world.

The wrath of God was poured out upon Jesus, the wrath that was meant for you and me! The wrath that paid the debt for the sins of the world, was put on the shoulders of Jesus Christ so we may be redeemed. God demonstrated his love for us on the cross, how will you demonstrate your love for him?

Peace of God

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Romans 5:1

How do we ever obtain peace? This is the multi trillion dollar question, as countries have spent trillions and lost countless lives trying to maintain peace among this world. However the problem is inside of us, not on the outside of this world. If we want true peace we must begin by looking in the mirror

The Law of God (Torah) is known as the mirror. Because it reflects how we are far away from the standards of God. Once we look at ourselves in the mirror, come to repentance and receive Jesus as our Lord, we finally have obtained true peace

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:2

Its by Faith alone in Jesus Christ through his grace we can have eternal hope. Without the grace of God there is no hope, therefor there would be no peace. Why? How can we ever be at peace when you are at war with God?

There is no peace without Jesus Christ, there is no hope without Jesus Christ, there is no salvation without Jesus Christ. Once you understand this, you come to understand why one day every knee will bow and tongue will confess Jesus is Lord.

When you receive him, you will finally have that inner peace of God that can only be obtained through Christ alone

Faith In God

For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Romans 4:3

People might wonder, how can you become saved? The Apostle Paul reminds us of Abraham, God considered him righteous because he believed. You might say, this sounds too easy, but lets consider the life of Abraham.

Abraham who was raised in a pagan nation and family, answer Gods calling and moved his entire family to Gods Promised Land. Not only that, God promised Abraham, a man about 100 years old, he would have descendants as numerous as the stars.

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. Romans 4:4

Abraham took some bold steps of faith because he truly believed God. How many of us would have done the same? Probably not many, however lets not confuse faith and works. Any works that we do will not save us, God has completed the works for our salvation. However any works that we perform is an act of obedience and confirmation of our faith. As Jesus said “We will be known by the fruit we produce” (Matthew 7)

But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. Romans 4:24-25

The same goes for us, we are not saved by our works. We are saved by our faith in Jesus Christ who performed the works for us on the cross! However Jesus said “If you love me, keep my commandments “(John 14:15) So we are obedient to God because we love him and he loves us

Nobody Righteous

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. Romans 3:10-11

I think one of the hardest concepts for people to understand is that nobody is righteous, we are all wretched sinners. People have a tendency to believe that they are “good”. And from the outside things might look good, you might do a good deed here or there, you might never have killed anyone, however when we look under the hood, we all need a Savior

If God is just then every sin against God needs to be punished, correct? If God allowed some things to go, would that really be just for those in hell? This is when you understand what Jesus did for us on the cross! He took the punishment for our sins, the wrath of God was poured upon him in your place!

They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes. Romans 3:12-18

This pretty much sums up most people, their mouths are full of cursing and they have no fear of God. They don’t care about God, all they care about is pleasing their flesh. We are carnally minded people which is why nobody is righteous. Without the Holy Spirit we are like human animals seeking after pleasures of the flesh

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Romans 3:23-24

But through Jesus , not only will you be forgiven for your sins, but you will also become “Born Again”. You say how can this happen? When you repent and receive Christ as your Lord, you will become baptized by the Holy Spirit. God will live inside of you, and transform you into a new creature Amen!

Moral Law

For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Romans 2:14

The atheist says “I cant be judged by God because I don’t believe in God” this is a strawman argument, the same as saying “I cant be given a traffic ticket because I don’t believe a cop exists or I don’t believe the traffic laws”

We instinctively know right from wrong, anyone who denies that is either lying or foolish. You know its wrong to murder or rape, you don’t need to be religious to know this. You don’t need a law to tell you murder and rape are wrong, you instinctively know this. If you look at the majority of nations, all would agree rape and murder are wrong

This is what the Apostle Paul was teaching here, the Gentiles didn’t have the Torah “Gods Law” taught to them yet they instinctively know Gods Law. Why? Because God has a moral law that is written in our hearts. Some fail to listen to their conscience while others come to The Lord in true repentance

Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) Romans 2:15

We have a conscience because we have the Law of God written in our hearts. Often when people are guilty of crimes their conscience torments them because they know what their doing is evil. Right and Wrong, Good or Evil is not subjective

Hitler believed he was justified however we know Hitler was evil, why? Because we know the Law of God. If there is no God then there is no Law, then everything would be subjective. But because we know there is a Law of Good and Evil we know God does exist

Listen to your conscience, repent of your sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved Amen!

No Excuse

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 1:20

Atheists demand evidence for the existence of God yet they deny all the evidence around them. This is what the Apostle Paul writes under inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the evidence of Gods creation is clearly seen and known, therefor nobody has an excuse to deny God the Creator.

You don’t have to be religious or have vast knowledge of the Bible to know God exists. The universe had a beginning, which was confirmed by Albert Einstein in his theory of relativity in the early 1900’s. Nothing can’t create anything, 0 + 0 will always = 0 Because we have a Creation there is evidence of a Creator

In the KJV translation we also see that a Godhead is defined (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) As we know from Creation that God said “Let US make man in OUR image” (Genesis 1:26) The Godhead of US is defined, God didn’t say “Let Me Make Man in MY image” because God is Triune in nature.

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Romans 1:21

Because there is clear evidence of God existence, people clearly reject God by choice. Therefor as state we will not be with excuse on judgement day. When you stand before your Creator, you will not be able to say “Nobody told me”, “I didn’t know” because we were made in the Image of God. Meaning we were born with intelligence above all mammals. You have a brain capable of thinking, reasoning, and emotion. If you never use your brain to ponder your existence, who’s fault is that?

We can come to have a personal relationship with our Father and Creator through our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!

Man of God

But you, Man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 1 Timothy 6:11

Recently I just finished reading the book “Man of God” by Dr. Charles Stanley. It’s a very inspirational book and I highly recommend it to anyone. It got me to reflect on myself and journey as a “Man of God”

What does it really mean or require to be a “Man of God”? I believe the qualities you would observe are integrity, accountability, compassion, courage, and humility.

The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. Proverbs 11:3. To have integrity means to be blameless. Honest, and having strong morals. It’s important that your family and others can trust and respect you. Unless you have integrity this can’t be accomplished.

“So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God” Romans 14:12 To be Godly we must be accountable for our actions. When we make mistakes we confess them. We also need to accept our responsibilities as Christians, Spouses, and Parents.

Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. 1 Peter 3:8  Having compassion towards each other is essential. We all have faults and make mistakes, we need to be patient and kind. As it says in Proverbs 10:12 “Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers all wrongs”

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13 Being a “Man of God” is going to take courage. When you refuse to conform to the ways of the world, you will receive a lot of opposition. That’s why you must grow “deep roots” of faith and always trust in God. Then you will be a strong role model for your family.

“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” James 4:6  Pride can become our worst enemy. It can make us harden our hearts and resist knowledge. This is why God opposes pride, it’s a act of selfishness and vanity.

As you can see being a “Man of God” is no easy task. And we probably don’t posses all these qualities yet. But thru our journey we should strive to obtain these traits.

Following Jesus and studying the Word of God are good blueprints we can build on. It’s important for our families and ourselves that we make the commitment to become “ Men of God: In Jesus name. Amen

Beginning of Wisdom

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10
What does this scripture mean to you? How can wisdom come from fear? How can understanding come from knowledge?
When people don’t acknowledge the greatness of God or his abilities, they become fools. As it says in Romans 1:22 “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,”
People who believe they are greater than their creator; or who believe they can live reckless life with no consequences or authority are simply fools.
As God said in Jeremiah 4:22 My people are fools; they do not know me. They are senseless children; they have no understanding. They are skilled in doing evil; they know not how to do good.”
When we understand God breathed life into us and made us in his image; he gave us this life as a gift; we then start to obtain the wisdom of his Word in the scriptures. But until you can accept God as your master, you can never accept wisdom or understanding.
You do have a choice though. You have the freedom of free will and you can follow Satan’s path of sin. However when you decide to walk that path you will end up in the same destination as Satan, the Lake of Fire. As it says in Matthew 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
So if you want to know if you or somebody else is really living a Christian lifestyle, check there fruit. Are you producing good fruit? Is your family broken or blessed? Is your personal life a mess? Are you drowning in debt? These are a few areas you can check your fruit.
When they say “Fear the Lord” it’s out of respect, honor, and most importantly love. Just as you would “fear” a parent or guardian. It’s not a dictatorship because you have the choice. You can follow Jesus to Eternal life or follow Satan to destruction.
I pray that everyone receives and understand the greatness of God; therefore thru Jesus and the Holy Spirit you can begin to obtain wisdom and knowledge that will lead you to your divine destiny Amen
