But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
Can you even try to image or comprehend even though you hated God, Jesus still died for you! When you try to grasp this you understand what a wonderful Lord we serve. Jesus was willing to pay the price, to suffer and die for your sins, so he can save you from eternal damnation. How do we understand this deep love our God has demonstrated towards us?
Think about this, the Lord of Heaven and Earth came down to take our place! When would a Creator die for his creation? When has mercy ever been demonstrated to this capacity ever before? Yet we were still lawless creatures Christ died for us
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 5:9
The original Greek word for justified is “dikaiothentes” means to make innocent. Think about that, you are made innocent before God by the blood of Jesus Christ. The power in his blood cleanses us from our sin, there is no greater power in all the world.
The wrath of God was poured out upon Jesus, the wrath that was meant for you and me! The wrath that paid the debt for the sins of the world, was put on the shoulders of Jesus Christ so we may be redeemed. God demonstrated his love for us on the cross, how will you demonstrate your love for him?
Amen

To me it makes a stronger impact because while I have tried to be good, none of us are and that he did all that for me anyway…a long time ago kn owing I would mess up.
