“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14

The virgin birth of Jesus Christ is actually an often debated topic among Atheists and agnostics to disprove the credibility of Christianity. They usually point to false gods like Zeus, Tammuz, or Horus to claim Christianity stole the idea of the “Virgin Birth” from Greek Mythology.

First what Atheists fail to understand is the “Virgin Birth” was first prophesied by Isaiah 700 years before Jesus was born. This was not an idea or concept generated by Christians, this was Judaism prophecy fulfilled.

Second if your really examine the stories of Zeus, Horus,Tammuz ect. None of their stories even come close to resembling the story of Jesus Christ. These are misleading claims that most take for granted without every really examining the evidence.

So why did God use a Virgin Birth to deliver our Savior? Well Jesus first mission was to become “The Lamb of God” to take away the sins of the world. In order for Jesus to accomplish this, he had to remain sinless. Being born through a Virgin by the Holy Spirit is the way God accomplished this.

What about Immanuel? This is actually a title and not a name. Just like Christ meaning Messiah is a title for Jesus and not his name. Immanuel means “God is with us” meaning God became human to dwell among us here and died for our sins.

In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth will be the pride and the adornment of the survivors of Israel. Isaiah 4:2

Who is “The Branch Of The Lord”? And who are the survivors of Israel?

Throughout the book of Isaiah we see the Messiah being referred to as “The Branch of The Lord”.  Isaiah later clearly identifies who the Messiah is with prophecies in Chapter 7, 9, 11, 53, ect. All these prophecies are fulfilled by Jesus Christ, Isaiah by the Holy Spirit clearly revealed  Jesus is the Messiah, God in the flesh that Israel and the world has long be waiting for

Think of a branch, its fully connected to the trunk of a tree. They are in total unison of each other yet separate. This is exactly how the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit relationship works. The Trinity is One God fully in unison with three entities.

‘In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth. Jeremiah 33:15

The prophet Jeremiah by the Holy Spirit also describes the Messiah, Jesus Christ, as a Branch. Jesus fulfilled these prophecies through Joseph registering him in the census as the line of David

The survivors of Israel are the remnant of Jews who have accepted Jesus as the Messiah (Christ). There will come a day as prophesied in Zechariah that Christ will deliver the Jewish people as the Lion of Judah and they will accept him as the Son of God

I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. Romans 11:1

As Paul taught God has not forgotten the Jewish people, just as there was a remnant in Elijahs day , there will also be a remnant during Christs returns. As prophesied in Revelation 7, there will be the 12 tribes of Israel around the throne of Jesus Christ. God makes a promise and he keeps it, God does not change!

Woe to the wicked! It will go badly with him, For what he deserves will be done to him. Isaiah 3:11

“For they will eat the fruit of their actions” (Isaiah 3:10)  There is going to come a day when justice will be served. When justice is served to the weak, the poor, the sick, the disabled, the hopeless, Jesus Christ is the King who will serve that justice upon the wicked

The world today mocks Christ and his Church, this same world crucified and killed the living God in the flesh. Your wickedness and sins will not be hidden forever, they will be exposed and unless you come to repentance , you will pay the wages of your own sins which is death!

The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 13:41-42

Lawlessness defined by The Bible is sin, everyone who continues to live in sin and wickedness will be thrown into the furnace of fire (Lake of Fire) where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Which road are you going to continue to travel? The Narrow Gate which leads to eternal life? Or the wide road of worldly pleasure that leads to your destruction?  Choose Life Choose Jesus Christ!

Heavenly Father we pray for the lost and the damned, we pray they come to repentance and listen to the Holy Spirit in Jesus Name Amen!
