Children of God

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:14-15

When your Born Again in Christ, you have no reason to Fear. Why? Because you are a Child of God, your not an enemy of God like the world. Notice it says we are Led by the Holy Spirit to God. Our Heavenly Father draws us home by his Spirit. This is a supernatural occurrence that no man can explain

Many who are not children of God , will refer to him in many different ways. Some will call him Jehovah, while others might call him Yahweh, while others might curse his name! However notice those who have been adopted by the blood of Christ call him “Abba Father”, a word of endearment only a child would call their Father

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Romans 8:16-17

We are sealed by the Holy Spirit, therefor as Children of God we are also heirs of God. What does that mean? Its common practice for children to inherit whatever their Father owned, as a Child of God you inherit the Kingdom and eternal life

What greater gift than to be reunited with your Heavenly Father and inherit eternal life! Thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!

God Lives Inside of You

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11

Think about this, the same power that rose Jesus from the grave is living inside of You! Can you even begin to fathom this? As a Christian , when you become Born Again, you are baptized with the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God is living inside of you, the same Spirit that rose Jesus from the tomb.

So when your feeling weak and defeated, remember this the power of God is inside of you. This is not meant to be a motivational or prosperity speech, this is the reality of a Born Again Christian. Whatever this world does to you, they can’t take your soul because it belongs to God alone

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Romans 8:12-13

Since the Holy Spirit lives inside of you, the same power that resurrected Christ, you have the power to resist sin. Oh, but we don’t want to hear that! If you are Born Again, your old self has died, as the Apostle Paul says here “if we live after the flesh we die, but if we live after the Spirit we live”

The Resurrection of Christ also represented the resurrection of You! Become Born Again through Jesus Christ and have the Holy Spirit living inside of You Amen!

Peace With God

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6

To live for the flesh, not only means certain death, but it also means eternal conflict within yourself. Think of a wild animal, that hunts and devours its prey. It continually seeks to satisfy its hunger, which it never can. It seeks to satisfy its desires, which it never will. It continually toils through the forest looking for its next impulse, only to be left down

We were made in Gods image, meaning we have the intelligence and understand of being more than just flesh. We were born to serve our Creator, we were made to not walk by the flesh but by the Spirit. Where the Holy Spirit is, there is Life and Peace

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Romans 8:7

Why cant we live in sin and have peace with God? Because sin is in objection to God. When we live in sin we are at war with God. You can never be at Peace with God when you’re at peace with Sin. They are in total opposition of each other. You cant be carnally minded and walk with God

Only through Christ can you inherit eternal life, only through Christ can you achieve internal peace. Without Christ you are at war with your Father, and you will forever be weeping and gnashing of your teeth

No Condemnation

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1

How can the guilty be made innocent? Only by the Blood of Christ! How can the dry bones be made alive again? Only by the blood of Christ! The supernatural blood that purifies every sin, that makes us white as snow was shed by Jesus Christ. That’s why there is no condemnation for those who are In Christ!

Now notice its says those who are In Christ, meaning those who are Born Again! Those who have confessed and turned away from their sins, those who have received Jesus as their Lord in their hearts. Those who have become baptized with the Holy Spirit. There is no condemnation for them because they are sealed by the Holy Spirit

Those who don’t walk after the flesh, how do you avoid sin? You stay away from it! If you don’t want to get drunk, don’t go in a bar. If you don’t want to be tempted by lust , stop looking at pornography. Those who walk by the flesh are not led by the Spirit of God

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2

Jesus has set you free from sin and death. Jesus has freed you from the law because he fulfilled the law. Only by abiding in Him can you be saved, but outside of Christ you are still condemned under the law. Jesus has set the captives free, that’s why there is no condemnation in Him!

Worthy is The Lamb who takes away the sins of the world! Amen!

O Wretched Man

O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? Romans 7:24

When we think of the Apostle Paul, we think of a holy man. We think this man was an Apostle of Christ, who was called by Jesus himself. This was a man who wrote over half of the New Testament. However look how the Apostle Paul saw himself, a wretched sinner

This is how we should view ourselves also, I know this is not what modern day Christianity preaches. However when you understand in this flesh, you are a wretched sinner, the more you understand how much you need Jesus and the amazing grace he has delivered for us

I often hear people say “Well I’m a good person” outside of Christ nobody is good. Jesus said Nobody is good except God alone (Mark 10:18) If you go on with this delusion that your good enough without Christ your setting yourself up for eternal damnation

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:25

The Law of God shows us how wretched we are. The Law is like a mirror that reflects us upon Gods image. The Spirit and the Flesh are continually are war with one another. As Paul says thanks to God for our Lord Jesus Christ who redeemed us from our sin!

Become Born Again, filled with the Holy Spirit to set our minds on Christ Amen!

Set Free

Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. Romans 7:4

The Apostle Paul uses an interesting analogy while teaching on The Law. He uses the example of a married woman being legally bound to her husband, however after that husband passes away, she is longer bound legally to him

Paul is using this illustration to demonstrate how Christians are in relation to The Law. If we are Born Again then we died with Christ, therefor we are no longer under the Law by Christ atoning death. Paul states “ We became dead to the law by the Body of Christ”

For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. Romans 7:5-6

Before we became saved we were dead in our sins, as the wages of sin equal death. However becoming Born Again we walk in the newness of the Holy Spirit and we don’t walk by the ways of the flesh. Many want to keep Born Again Christians still bound to The Law, however the fruits of the Holy Spirit are not carnal

Jesus has delivered us from Sin and Death, Jesus has delivered us from the penalty of The Law which would equal certain death. Jesus has fulfilled The Law so we can become set free! Amen!

Newness of Life

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4

Once you understand the symbolic significance in the act of baptism, you then understand your transformation as a Christian. The Apostle Paul has a great teaching here, as when we are lowered into the water, its symbolic of the death of our old self being buried with Christ

As a Born Again Christian we need to make sure our “Old Self” remains buried and dead. If we seek to live like we were before we became saved, then the Old Self hasn’t died and the New Self cant be resurrected. The Old Self must die first before the New Self can be brought forth

And when we are raised out of the water, its symbolic of Jesus resurrection and our New Self becoming washed clean of our sins. We must walk in the Newness of life, not walk in the darkness as before we became saved with Christ

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Romans 6:5-6

We have become planted or united with Christ through his death and resurrection. Before sin has separated us from God. But Thanks to our Lord , his atonement has cleansed our sin with his blood, so now we can be reconciled with God

Our Old Self has been crucified with Christ and sin no longer has dominion over us. We are no longer slaves to sin but now children of God. This is the symbolic importance and understanding of baptism

One Man

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Romans 5:19

One of the problems with the denial of Creation, is the denial of our sinful nature. If we evolved from monkeys then obviously, we are not descendants of Adam, this is part of Satans agenda to create confusion with Evolution. Not only does it minimalize our purpose and calling as “Created in Gods Image” but it also disregards the fact that we are all wretched sinners in need of a Savior

Sin has entered into the world through Satan who enticed Adam and Eve to listen and follow him. And while we have inherited this sinful nature, we also have a choice to accept the one who can redeem our sinful nature. Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, saved the entire world. Only by Christ alone can you be saved , there is no other path to salvation

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:20-21

Many Christians today still get confused by The Law, Jesus fulfilled The Law (Matthew 5:17) so we may be set free by his Grace. I know this is a difficult concept to understand, but God loves us enough to pay the price for us

Now some will say this is an excuse to justify sin, but anyone who is truly Born Again and has a relationship with Christ hates sin. Grace doesn’t justify sin, Grace justifies us before God through Jesus Christ Amen!
