Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Luke 13:24

The question was raised to Jesus, how many people will be saved? His answer was many will seek and wont be able to be saved! This is a lot different than the theology we teach today. Yes everyone has the opportunity to become saved however Jesus says not many will actually become saved.

Remember Jesus said unless you become Born Again you will not be saved (John 3:3) How many “Christians” live with false expectations that their religious acts will save them rather than the Savior himself? There needs to be a total transformation not just a proclamation

When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Luke 13:25

Does Jesus know you? Sounds like an odd question, but just making the assumption that some organization has declared you a “Christian” can be a fatal mistake. Christ wants to know you, as much as you should want to know him! The Master isn’t looking for more religious acts to be performed, hes looking for your heart and transformation

But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. Luke 13:27

There will come a day when the door will be shut, do you know Jesus and does he know you? If you don’t have a personal relationship with him today, why not start now? Call out to the Lord Jesus , repent of your sins, and become Born Again! Amen!

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:3

In todays modern Christianity we rarely hear any preacher say “Repent or Perish”! , in fact our modern day version of Jesus has him so watered down that he wouldn’t even dare say such a thing, but he did! Some people were telling Jesus about the awful sins the Galileans had performed, but Jesus was response was anyone who doesn’t repent will all perish! Meaning everyone!

This is why its so important for us all to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone. Because we are all guilty of sinning and the wages of sin is death. However the good news (gospel) is Jesus died and took the penalty for our sins so we may inherit eternal life

Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:4-5

Jesus goes on to tell them, “do you think some people are more guilty of sin than others?, we are all guilty of sin therefor without repentance we will all perish”. This is a pretty strong and straightforward message by Jesus.

Now when people hear the word “repentance” they immediately have a negative reaction, however repentance is a beautiful thing! The word “Repent” means to turn away from or changes ones mind. Isnt it wonderful to know if we turn away from our sin and trust in Jesus, we can be forgiven and saved?

I think that’s amazing that our God is that merciful, and that’s why repentance is a beautiful thing! Listen to Jesus, Repent or Perish! Amen!

Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: Luke 12:51

What is Jesus saying here, he’s come to bring division to the Earth? That’s right, not all roads lead to God, as Jesus said Nobody comes to the Father (God) except through him (Christ) (John 14:6) So if Jesus is the only way to God, you better believe this is going to cause division. I can imagine there are a few people angry as they read these words. However Jesus came to give Truth and not to be politically correct

Jesus is preparing us for judgement day, his return. The sheeps and the goats will be divided. Its not a division based on blood lines, or nationalities, or religions. It’s a division based on who is Born Again and who is still dead in their sins. There is no in-between , your either saved or dead in your sins.

For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Luke 12:52-53

Have you ever noticed typically when you talk about Jesus, you will get a strong reaction. Either they will be glad to hear the good news or they are angry! This is because the world hates Jesus because its controlled by Satan. The world is anti-Christ therefor expect division when you talk about Jesus!

However allow the Holy Spirit to separate the sheep from the goats, Amen!

I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do. “But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him! Luke 12:4-5

Who do you fear? We live in a world where people like to be afraid, don’t believe me? Just look at the movies and TV shows , people are obsessed with horror movies and darkness. You turn on the news and the media wants you to live in fear, they talk about every natural disaster and potential war that may break out, but all these things are distractions compared to the fear we should have for our Almighty God

We live in a world where everything is backwards, nobody fears God anymore yet everyone fears everything else. People curse Gods name on a daily basis, they mock his sacred word, they blasphemy his existence. However God is the only ONE we should fear, why? Because he is not only the one who created us, but he is the only one who can throw our soul into Hell fire.

I know the Liberal Christian will say “We cant talk about a wrathful God” “We cant talk about Hell” , However the Word of God never changes, God does not change. Your eternal sins will have eternal consequences. There is only one hope and that’s Jesus Christ!

Are not five sparrows sold for two cents? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows. Luke 12:6-7

Now I know you will say “This God is so angry and cold”, yet the Creator of the universe knows every hair on your head. Our Heavenly Father knows every bird and creature on this planet, surely who knows you. And ultimately God demonstrated his love for you by sending his only begotten Son to die for your sins!

God will not be mocked, what you reap is what you sow. If you disown God he will disown you, come back to the Father through Jesus Christ! Fear God and not Man!
