Raised Up

The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him. Deuteronomy 18:15

Who was Moses foretelling about to the Jewish people? Moses was prophesying about Jesus being the Messiah. Jesus , the son of God, born in Bethlehem to the line of David. Even though the Messiah walked among them, they didn’t recognize him (John 1:10)

As God commanded through Moses, we must listen to Jesus, because he was the chosen Messiah. As Jesus said if you love him, you would keep his commandments (John 14:15) When you reject Jesus, you are rejecting God your Father. You are rejecting the only hope you have for redemption. Because Jesus is I am the way and the truth and the life, No one comes to the Father (God) except through me (Jesus) (John 14:6)

God gave us another clue, the successor to Moses was none other than Joshua which is the English translation of the name Jesus or Yeshua. A clear sign from God that his sons name is Yeshua (Jesus). The prophet Stephen also confirmed this revelation in the book of Acts (Acts 7:37)

Joshua led the Israelites to the Promise Land just as Jesus will lead us to the Kingdom of God, he was raised up King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Every knee will bow as he is worthy to be praised in Jesus Name Amen

Lamb of God

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29

Who is The Lamb of God? John the Baptist clearly identifies him as Jesus Christ. So what does it mean for Jesus to be the Lamb of God? And how is John able to identify him?  John the Baptist was sent as a messenger from God to pave the way for the Messiah (Isaiah 40:3) The voice on one calling in the wilderness to prepare the way for The Lord. John was a witness and confirmation that Jesus is The Messiah, The Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world

The Passover Lamb was instructed by God to be sacrificed to save the Israelites from death. The blood of the Lamb was a sign and seal they were protected by God (Exodus 12) The requirements of the Lamb of God was to be without defect and to not have a single bone broken in there body (Leviticus 22)

Jesus is The Lamb of God, who was without sin yet paid for the sins of the world. (1 Corinthians 5:7) By the power of his holy blood, we are redeemed and protected. This is why Jesus allowed himself to be crucified to be our sacrificial Lamb to save us from our sins.

Remember what Jesus has done for you, he laid down his life for you as the Lamb of God. There is no power greater than his blood, so rejoice for you have been redeemed by his blood in Jesus Name Amen

Encourage

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Are you feeling strong and courageous today? Multiple times God kept telling Joshua to be “Strong and Courageous” there are times when we need to encourage one another also (1 Thessalonians 5:11) Notice the word “Encourage” means to give support, confidence, or hope to someone. You are empowering someone, this is exactly what God was doing with Joshua at this time

Joshua was faced with a difficult task at a difficult time, Moses had just passed away and God was commanding him to move the Israelites forward to the Promise Land. Problem was the “Promise Land” was full of giant warriors who were not going to go down without a fight. But God told Joshua “Nobody will be able to stand against you” (Joshua 1:5) also he told him “ He will never leave or forsake him” (Joshua 1:5)

Isn’t that encouraging hearing these words from the Creator of the Heavens and Earth? The same can be applied to us, if you are walking with God, then nobody will be able to stand against you, if God is for us who can be against us (Romans 8:31) Be strong and courageous in Jesus Name Amen

Good Medicine

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22

What the world needs now is some “Good Medicine” with all the hatred and hostility these days, we need more Jesus and less of us ( John 3:30) Words matter, they have the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21) We must choose our words wisely , when we lash out at people it crushes our spirit.

Jesus is the cure, he is the “Good Medicine” through him we can have the fruits of The Holy Spirit, Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control (Galatians 5:22-23) Don’t you think the world can use these qualities right now? When we see the fruits of evil, hatred, racism, murder, and greed, these are the fruits of Satan who has come to rob , steal, and kill. You will be known by the fruit you bear

What are people really searching for? Isn’t all this chaos because people are looking for paradise? These is only one way to eternal life, and that’s through Jesus Christ (John 14:6) He is the only road to happiness, when you put your trust in mankind, you will always be let down. Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), he does not change.

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the should and healing to the bones (Proverbs 16:24) Are you healing or hurting people today with your words and actions? Do you need some “Good Medicine”, then turn to Jesus Christ Amen

Nation Divided

If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. Mark 3:24-25

Can America survive as a divided nation? The simple answer is No, as Jesus taught us a Kingdom divided will fall, so what can we do to bring a nation back together? The simple answer is we need to make Jesus the center of our lives. We need more of Christ and less of us (John 3:30)

Jesus taught us to Love our Neighbor as ourselves (Mark 12:31) So who is our neighbor? Our neighbor is everyone, until we start to accept one another for who they are, we will always be divided. Jesus always taught us to Love our enemies (Matthew 5:44) even those who persecute us because of our faith, we should pray for them and remain to live in peace.

Why must we do this? Because even though we were sinners Christ died for us and God demonstrated his love for us (Romans 5:8) We can only overcome evil with love, we cant repay evil with evil (Romans 12:17)

Love is patient, Love is kind, Love never fails (1 Corinthians 13) The only way to restore a divded nation is with Love, the Love that Christ has shown us in Jesus Name Amen

By His Stripes

byhisstripesBut he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

Why did Jesus allow himself to be beaten and tortured, it was all for YOU.. By the curse of Adam we are all sinners and all are mortal. But by the Stripes of Jesus Christ we are now healed and redeemed to live forever.

Amazing the Prophet Isaiah predicted Jesus would do this 700 years before he was even born. God knew that we couldn’t save ourselves so he sent his only begotten Son.

(John 3:16) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Do you believe that Jesus is your Messiah? If so by his stripes you are healed and will have everlasting life. Jesus loves you so much he took your sins and washed them away so you are worthy to stand before God in his Kingdom.

(Romans 4:25) “Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”

Jesus was delivered on the cross as a sacrifice for YOU. It’s only because of our sins he had to lay down his life. It’s only by him we have hope and life, that’s why you should worship him. There is no greater love and Jesus who laid down his life for us. Nothing greater

(1 Peter 2:24) “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

He bore Our sins, Jesus was sinless. The lamb was slain for our transgressions. How much more love do you need to believe?

Peter references the word Tree in this scripture instead of Cross as symbolic. Meaning Jesus died for us all even the outcasts, the lowly labeled not worthy, Jesus died for you also. By His Stripes We are Healed. Give praise to the L
