Into The Pit

Then the king gave orders, and Daniel was brought in and cast into the lions’ den. The king spoke and said to Daniel, “Your God whom you constantly serve will Himself deliver you.” Daniel 6:16

Usually when we think about the story of Daniel and The Lions Den , we think about it literally. However what if we thought about it symbolically relating to ourselves. I’m sure there has been a time in your life, when you were thrown into the pit of despair (lions den) surrounded by demons (lions) who were looking to torment and devour you

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

The apostle Peter describes Satan and his demons as lions looking to devour us. So think of yourself as a symbolic Daniel under attack by Satan himself. Was it fair or just for Daniel to be thrown into the lions den? No, however notice how Daniel reacted, with pure faith and peace that God would deliver him, even though from most peoples point of view, he was about to be ripped apart

“My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths and they have not harmed me, inasmuch as I was found innocent before Him; and also toward you, O king, I have committed no crime.” Daniel 6:22

God has sent a deliver to protect and redeem Daniel. God has sent Jesus to deliver and redeem you. Even when you are down in the pit of despair, trust in Jesus, because demons tremble at the sound of his name Amen!

Overcome

Why did I not die at birth, Come forth from the womb and expire? Job 3:11

These words that Job have spoken may seem harsh but I’m sure it’s a sorrowful emotion we may have felt at some time in our lives. Job was suffering a great loss of his family and Satan was continuing to test him. At this point Job was at his lowest point, he felt why should he have even been born.

But one thing is Job never cursed or blamed God, Job said God gives and he takes away (Job 1:21) Even though his wife told him to just curse God and die (Job 2:9), Job would not tempt The Lord. Jobs friends went on to blame Job, saying he must of sinned to cause this great sorrow in his life.

But the truth was Job was being tested by Satan and not God. Many times when tragedies happen in our lives we blame God. But its usually Satan testing us or our own sin that causes hardship for ourselves.

The Good news is eventually God repaid Job back twice from what he lost because he preserved to the end (Job 42:10) That’s why our faith is so important. During life we will encounter seasons of depression or great losses. The important thing is we remain faithful as God does have a plan for all our lives.

We can overcome as we turn to Jesus for hope and strength who has already overcome the world.God has a plan for your life and we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength in Jesus Name Amen

Present Suffering

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

How can we remain at peace during our present suffering? As Christians we need to be realistic that there is going to be trials and suffering during life. Jesus told us we will encounter trouble, trials, and even tribulation, however he ended by saying take Heart I have overcome the world (John 16:33)

See even when we are suffering we can have the peace of God knowing that we are already victorious. Not matter what Satan is trying to do to us, Jesus have already overcome. There is nothing impossible for God, and we need to remember not to let a trial derail our faith.

The next part is our current suffering can’t compare to the glory of God that is ahead of us. Jesus told us there will be a day of no more tears, no more suffering, no more death for the former things have passed away (Revelation 21:4)  So don’t allow your current suffering or trials defeat you because Jesus has already defeated death and sin

God teaches us to be content in all circumstances (Philippians 4:12) When we have strong faith we don’t have a wavering attitude. It’s easy to be joyful when everything is going good but it’s how you respond to suffering and trials that truly displays your faith. So whatever you’re going through today, tell Satan my present suffering can’t compare to the glory of God in my future in Jesus Name Amen

You are Worth More Than Many Sparrows

What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. Matthew 10:27

Many times we find God in our darkest hour, but the hope and salvation we uncover needs to be shared and spread to everyone.  You are the light of the world, let your light shine before others so they can see the Glory of God

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

But be prepared, when you speak the truth of Jesus you will be hated. Evil people don’t want to hear righteous things.  But God created your soul and he is the only one who can deliver your soul, nobody else can take that away from you.

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. Matthew 10:29

Ironically you can learn more from observing birds than you can from reading the latest self help book. Do birds stress out and worry there next meal or where there going to live? No they just live and God provides for them, why can’t we live the same way?

And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Matthew 10:30-31

You are a child of the Living God, creator of the Heavens and The Earth. You were born with a purpose not by accident, you are somebody special. God knows every hair on your head, he surely knows your struggles and pain. But you must keep enduring because God has promised a new Heaven and Earth where there is no more pain, suffering, or death. Rejoice in the Lord and wait for your King to be coming soon in Jesus Name Amen

Happy Fathers Day

For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just Genesis 18:19

Just as God has chosen Abraham to be the Father of many nations, God has chosen us to be the Father of our Children also. This is not something we should take for granted our lightly. It’s honor God has chosen me to be a Father of two amazing boys, it’s a responsibility I take to heart.

These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Its our responsibility as Fathers and Men of God to teach our Children about God and his Word. We live in a world where God has been removed from public, schools, offices, ect. If we don’t teach our Children about God , nobody else is going to.  Lay the foundation for a successful life for them.

Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Psalms 127:3

The world likes to portray Fatherhood as a death trap, but the truth is to be a Father is a blessing from God. For Abraham waited almost 100 years to have his promised son Isaac, any man who has a child has received favor from God. Don’t squander your blessing, be the Godhead of your family as you were chosen to be.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

As a Father its our responsibility not only to teach our children about God, but teach them right from wrong. Teach them how to walk with integrity, teach them responsibility, teach them love and compassion. When you instill morals and values into your Children they will not depart from it.

But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15

The world may have removed God but we as Fathers control our house. Make sure your house is serving God, make sure your Children are growing up knowing God and learning morals and values. Teach your Children how to pray and be thankful for all they have received.

As a Father I feel God has blessed me more than I could have ever imagined, I hope all you Fathers feel the same way and Thank God for your blessings in Jesus Name Amen

By His Stripes

byhisstripesBut he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

Why did Jesus allow himself to be beaten and tortured, it was all for YOU.. By the curse of Adam we are all sinners and all are mortal. But by the Stripes of Jesus Christ we are now healed and redeemed to live forever.

Amazing the Prophet Isaiah predicted Jesus would do this 700 years before he was even born. God knew that we couldn’t save ourselves so he sent his only begotten Son.

(John 3:16) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Do you believe that Jesus is your Messiah? If so by his stripes you are healed and will have everlasting life. Jesus loves you so much he took your sins and washed them away so you are worthy to stand before God in his Kingdom.

(Romans 4:25) “Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”

Jesus was delivered on the cross as a sacrifice for YOU. It’s only because of our sins he had to lay down his life. It’s only by him we have hope and life, that’s why you should worship him. There is no greater love and Jesus who laid down his life for us. Nothing greater

(1 Peter 2:24) “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

He bore Our sins, Jesus was sinless. The lamb was slain for our transgressions. How much more love do you need to believe?

Peter references the word Tree in this scripture instead of Cross as symbolic. Meaning Jesus died for us all even the outcasts, the lowly labeled not worthy, Jesus died for you also. By His Stripes We are Healed. Give praise to the L

Every Season has a Purpose

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

What season are you in? Are you in a good or bad season? Some seasons appear to last longer than others but remember they all have their purpose.  We need to remember to rejoice during the good seasons and endure thru the bad seasons.

Sometimes the hardest seasons can turn into our greatest seasons when we learn to let go and trust in God. Remember that pain may last thru the night but joy comes in the morning. Tomorrow might be the start of your new season.

(James 1:12) “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”

The trials you face during your seasons can make you or break you, whatever the circumstance we need to learn to trust in God and rejoice at all times.

There will be times when we feel like God has left us, that’s the time when we need to call out to him even more. Because he promised he would never leave or forsake us. What trial are you facing now? Are you standing the test? Stay strong and preserve you will receive your crown of life.

(Acts 1:7) “And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.”

We always want instant results, but God has a plan. Even though your season may seem to be lasting forever, God has a purpose and a plan for your trials. We must trust in him

Remember there is a time and season for everything, even if you are having a season of sorrow right now, there will be a season joy also.

Think about the butterfly, before it becomes beautiful it’s a caterpillar that goes into a cocoon. During that season in the cocoon it’s transforming into a beautiful butterfly. Same with you during your season, whether good or bad, your transforming.  Remember every time has a purpose under heaven, trust in God in Jesus Name Amen

God cares for you

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

When your feeling worried or stressed out do you hold it in or cast your care upon God? When we hold things in can often make your anxiety worse than when you release it. Not only is it important to let God know how your feeling but also others in your life such as your spouse, family, friends ,ect.

I found this out the other day, I was feeling upset over something and it was noticeably ruining my day. My wife noticed and asked me what was wrong, at first I just tried to blow it off but saying  I was fine but then a few minutes later I decided to tell her and I felt renewed. That problem that was weghing me down seemed to instantly disappear just by “casting my anxiety” to her

(Philippians 4:6) “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

God wants us to have this same relationship with him, tell him your fears and doubts. You might ask “How  do I do this?” Simply thru prayer. Praying is not about going thru the motions, it’s about having an intimate conversation with your Creator. Now you might say “Doesn’t God already know my problems?” and the answer is Yes but he still wants to hear your address them.

If you’re a parent think about your children, sometimes you know they did something wrong or upset over something but you still want them to confess or initiate the conversation of what they did or feeling. This is the same with God, he wants you to confess yourself to him. Like it says in the scriptures “You have not because you ask not” (James 4:3)

(Matthew 6:34) “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

When we look to far ahead in our life, in can be overwhelming. We need to learn to savor the moments we are in now and let God take care of the rest. When we keep focusing on tomorrow we never really enjoy today.  As it also says in Matthew 6 “ Can worry add one moment to your life? (Matthew 6:27)” Of course not worrying not only shortens our lives but makes it unenjoyable.

(Psalms 55:22) “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.”

When we cast our cares or anxiety to God he will sustain us. What does it mean to sustain us? Means he will give us peace and strength to endure the trouble we are facing. That’s why it’s important we cast or confess ourselves to God, because when we call upon him he listens.  Often you can tell how much faith somebody has by the amount of peace they have, especially during difficult times.

Remember next time your worried or stressed out, call out to God and cast all your anxiety to him. He will then sustain you and give you peace in the storm. In Jesus name Amen

Be strong in The Lord

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

Are you struggling today? Are you involved in a battle that you feel like your losing? Who do you call on for strength? Are trusting in God to be your refuge thru your times of trouble? With God you are not alone, if you stand with him he will stand with you. If God is for us, who can be against us?

(Psalms 136:1) “O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endurethfor ever”

King David understood this principle, when the world was against him and everyone was trying to kill him. He called unto God for his strength and he delivered him as always. For God promises his mercy endures forever. Call out to God today and he will not forsake you.

(Philippians 4:13) “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

This is probably one of the most popular scriptures in the New Testament, however when Paul wrote this he was chained in prison. He didn’t proclaim this while living in paradise, he proclaimed this during his time in prison. He called onto God to give him strength no matter what man was doing to him.

(Ephesians 6:10) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Again Paul tells trust in God to get you thru your battle and lean on him for your strength. Do you have this faith today? Are you fighting your battles alone or do you have God on your side? If you trust in him, he will not forsake you.

(Jeremiah 17:14) “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.”

Are you praising God in the storm or cursing him? So this is the true reveal or you faith. Anyone can be faithful during good times, but what about the hard times? This is what reveals who you really are. Thru you faith you will dig deep roots and endure any storm. Be strong in the Lord. In Jesus name Amen

God cares for you

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

Isn’t this a message the world needs right now? With all the stress, anxiety, and chaos in the world today, God is the remedy.

Now I know this is easier said than done, but that’s what your journey thru faith is about. Next time your stressed try praying to God and see what happens, what do you have to lose?

Consider Matthew 6:27 “Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

Isn’t that a great question? All the hours and energy spent worrying have not brought you any closer to a resolution.

Believe me I’m not trying to downplay your problems or be insensitive. For I have problems and worries of my own. What I’m suggesting is we take a leap of faith. We dig down deep and cast all our problems and worries unto God

He says to do this in 1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” God wants you to call out to him especially in your darkest hours.

Psalms 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Take that leap of faith, give it all up to God. Let him deal with your problems. You don’t need to shoulder the load because you’re not strong enough to do it alone. But with God there is peace and victory. Amen
