Faith Over Fear

But Jesus, overhearing what was being spoken, said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid any longer, only believe.”  Mark 5:36

Fear has a way of controlling our lives. Fear of the unknown, Fear of our health, Fear of our relationships, Fear of our futures. But Jesus said Fear no longer only Believe! Meaning your Faith will lead you over your Fear.

In this chapter of Mark 5, we read of multiple people in need of a miracle. A synagogue official in need for his daughter’s life and a woman who had a medical condition most of her life. These people were desperate, but they put their hope in Jesus , and in an instance he restored them.

There were people who mocked Jesus, because the synagogue official’s daughter had died before Jesus reached her house. But notice what Jesus did, he kicked them all out of the room except  his disciples (Mark 5:40) Why? Because there lack of faith was a stumbling block and not a blessing

What is your fear doing to you today? Is it causing you a stumbling block for your faith? You need to remove the power of fear from your life and allow the power of God in

For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Any fear that you feel is not from God, it comes from Satan who uses it as a trap and stumbling block for our faith. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you overcome your fears and anxiety , Do not be afraid any longer, only believe in Jesus Name Amen!

Present Suffering

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

How can we remain at peace during our present suffering? As Christians we need to be realistic that there is going to be trials and suffering during life. Jesus told us we will encounter trouble, trials, and even tribulation, however he ended by saying take Heart I have overcome the world (John 16:33)

See even when we are suffering we can have the peace of God knowing that we are already victorious. Not matter what Satan is trying to do to us, Jesus have already overcome. There is nothing impossible for God, and we need to remember not to let a trial derail our faith.

The next part is our current suffering can’t compare to the glory of God that is ahead of us. Jesus told us there will be a day of no more tears, no more suffering, no more death for the former things have passed away (Revelation 21:4)  So don’t allow your current suffering or trials defeat you because Jesus has already defeated death and sin

God teaches us to be content in all circumstances (Philippians 4:12) When we have strong faith we don’t have a wavering attitude. It’s easy to be joyful when everything is going good but it’s how you respond to suffering and trials that truly displays your faith. So whatever you’re going through today, tell Satan my present suffering can’t compare to the glory of God in my future in Jesus Name Amen

Don’tWorry About Tomorrow

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34

Are you worried about tomorrow? Do you find yourself focusing more on the future than the present? Many times we get wrapped in our troubles, and we don’t take the time to enjoy the moment we have right now. Jesus taught us simply, don’t worry about tomorrow, and focus on one day at a time.

Remember This is the day The Lord has made we will be glad and rejoice in it (Psalm) How can we rejoice in the day, when we’re stressing out about tomorrow? We must remember every day is a gift, that is why they call it the present. Often we create scenarios in our heads that will probably never come to pass, that’s why we focus on today and not tomorrow

Jesus also asked “Can worry add a single hour to your life?” (Matthew 6:27) The answer is obviously no, worrying actually does the opposite, take away precious moments of our life by stress and anxiety.  God wants us to cast our cares to him (1 Peter 5:7) give all your burdens to God and let him be your rock! When we put our faith in God, he will be our shelter in the storm

Does that mean it will be easy not to worry? Of course not, but we can take the peace and comfort of knowing our Heavenly Father knows your pain and has a plan for your victory. Look at the birds in the air, they don’t sow or reap, yet God takes care of them (Matthew 6:26). And you are much more valuable, as you are created in the image of our Heavenly Father in Jesus Name Amen

Worry is for The Birds

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:26

The older we get, the most stressful life seems to get. We have more responsibilities therefor we have more worries.  We worry about paying or mortgage or rent, providing food for our families, and clothes and other necessities. However as Jesus has taught us we can learn a lot from The Birds.

The Birds don’t work for a living, they don’t waste a moment of there lives stressing out, yet God still provides all there needs.  Do they deserve it? But our human standards we would say no, but God believes they deserve it, don’t you think he believes you are worth of being taken care of also?

(Matthew 6:27) “Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

This might be one of the best questions of all time, and of course we know it doesn’t. However this won’t stop us from continually worrying about everything in our life. When do we come to a point where we can trust in God to provide for us?

We can learn a lot from The Birds, they go about there daily lives singing beautiful songs and don’t spend a single hour worrying. You might say well they don’t know any better, don’t they? Or do we overthink everything? Worrying is for The Birds.

(Exodus 17:4)” Then Moses cried out to the LORD, “What am I to do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.”

When Moses lead the Isrealites out into the wilderness to find the promise land, everyone began to worry. They complained there was no water, there was no food. Moses was overwhelmed  turned to God. And as always God provided.

(Exodus 17:5) “The LORD answered Moses, “Go out in front of the people. Take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.

What seemed humanly impossible was nothing for God, he created a flowing river in the middle of the desert to supply all his people with water. If these people trusted God, just as The Birds do, they would have nothing to worry about.

(Matthew 6:30) “If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you–you of little faith?”

God supplies everything, including the grass, flowers, birds, ect with everything it needs to survive, why don’t you think God will supply your needs also?

Take a lesson from the Birds, instead of worrying, sing songs of rejoice because God loves you and will take care of all of your needs in Jesus name Amen
