Encourage

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Are you feeling strong and courageous today? Multiple times God kept telling Joshua to be “Strong and Courageous” there are times when we need to encourage one another also (1 Thessalonians 5:11) Notice the word “Encourage” means to give support, confidence, or hope to someone. You are empowering someone, this is exactly what God was doing with Joshua at this time

Joshua was faced with a difficult task at a difficult time, Moses had just passed away and God was commanding him to move the Israelites forward to the Promise Land. Problem was the “Promise Land” was full of giant warriors who were not going to go down without a fight. But God told Joshua “Nobody will be able to stand against you” (Joshua 1:5) also he told him “ He will never leave or forsake him” (Joshua 1:5)

Isn’t that encouraging hearing these words from the Creator of the Heavens and Earth? The same can be applied to us, if you are walking with God, then nobody will be able to stand against you, if God is for us who can be against us (Romans 8:31) Be strong and courageous in Jesus Name Amen

Eye For Eye?

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. Matthew 5:38-39

With all the violence and hatred in the world today, how do we react? The normal human reaction is for us want an “Eye for Eye” but with this approach when does it end? Jesus taught us to “Turn the other cheek”, instead of answering violence with violence we should try to resist .

Obviously this is not easy and not very popular. Its natural for us to want to avenge our enemies, but the questions is when will it stop? So how as Christians can we apply these teachings Jesus wants us to follow?

Remember Jesus said we must first deny ourselves (Matthew 16:24) before we become a disciple, isn’t violence mostly about human ego and greed? If we truly are a Christian, we must not only Deny Ourselves but also Love our Enemies (Matthew 5:44).

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

One of the most powerful scriptures in the entire Bible is this one, Satan can threaten you with violence or even death, however we should not fear them. See God gives life and can take it away, he is the only one. Even if your physical body is dead, your soul will live as long as God says it will.

This is why Fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom and understanding, because our Heavenly Father, creator of the Heavens and Earth is truly in control. So resist violence, turn the other cheek in Jesus Name Amen

Meaning of Life

Meaning of Life

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

What is the meaning of life? Throughout time people have pondered this question and searched for meaning. However, the answer is in The Bible, God has laid out his plan for us since the beginning of time.

God has created us in his image (Genesis 1:27) and made us perfect and immortal.  Due to our sin, we brought on sickness and death (Romans 6:23). However, God still has a plan for us, and his name is Jesus Christ (Genesis 3:15).

Jesus took our sin and death for us (Romans 4:25), so we can be immortal again. When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are baptized by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:11), and begin living by The Spirit (Galatians 5:16)

So the meaning of life is press on to the prize of our higher calling (Philippians 3:14) and we wait for the return of our King Jesus Christ (Revelation 1:5) who will defeat Satan forever (Revelation 17:14) and wipe away everyone’s sorry, tears, and death (Revelation 21:4)

The Kingdom of God will reign forever (Revelation 11:15) Do you want to be part of that perfect kingdom? Where you are no longer a slave to sin and death? Then this is the meaning of life, to follow your Lord, Savior, and King to paradise (Luke 23:43) in Jesus Name Amen

Be Strong and Courageous

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
Are you living in fear or do you live with courage? Do you dread facing the day or go in peace? God did not design us to live in fear or be anxious about anything. However Satan has created these chains that bond so many of us. It’s time to break the chains, trust in God and walk with Courage.
(2 Timothy 1:7) “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
The spirit of fear is not from God but from Satan. For with God you have nothing to fear. He won’t leave or forsake you. You can tell when someone is a true Christian by their inner Peace and Strength they possess that can only come from God.
(John 14:27) “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”
Jesus is the “Prince of Peace” and his Peace he gives unto us. When we give our life to Christ we get filled with inner peace and strength that cannot be obtained anywhere else. As Jesus told us “Don’t be afraid” Don’t give in to your spirit of Fear, the Lord is with you!
(Psalm 23:4) “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
God is with you even in your darkest hour. Take comfort in knowing he won’t leave you or forsake you. You can walk thru you valley of death with strength and courage because you have the power of the almighty God right beside you.
(Romans 8:15) “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”
With God there is nothing to fear, you have received the “Spirit of Adoption” and not the “Spirit of Fear”
Meaning you are a Child of the Most High God, he will keep you under his wing; he carved your name in his hand. Whatever valley of death your walking thru Be Strong and Courageous and do not fear Evil. In Jesus Name Amen
