If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. Mark 3:24-25
Can America survive as a divided nation? The simple answer is No, as Jesus taught us a Kingdom divided will fall, so what can we do to bring a nation back together? The simple answer is we need to make Jesus the center of our lives. We need more of Christ and less of us (John 3:30)
Jesus taught us to Love our Neighbor as ourselves (Mark 12:31) So who is our neighbor? Our neighbor is everyone, until we start to accept one another for who they are, we will always be divided. Jesus always taught us to Love our enemies (Matthew 5:44) even those who persecute us because of our faith, we should pray for them and remain to live in peace.
Why must we do this? Because even though we were sinners Christ died for us and God demonstrated his love for us (Romans 5:8) We can only overcome evil with love, we cant repay evil with evil (Romans 12:17)
Love is patient, Love is kind, Love never fails (1 Corinthians 13) The only way to restore a divded nation is with Love, the Love that Christ has shown us in Jesus Name Amen
This is true! Good stuff.

Good post. We need to focus on Jesus and pray for Pres. Elect Trump to be touched by Him and seek His will and wisdom.

This is great. I do want to point out when Jesus said that he didn’t come to bring peace, but a sword. It seems that he advocates division for the cause of the kingdom (in families anyway) based off of Matthew 10:34-36. Something to consider during these times. ππΌπ

Yes Jesus was talking about the division of those who accept him as the Messiah and those who don’t. Separate the sheep from the goat. God bless you!
