By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear. Hebrews 8:13

When Jesus said “It is Finished” on the cross, the new covenant was officially instated. The wages of sin had been paid by the blood of Jesus Christ

However confusion on the Old and New Covenant has been a never ending debate among Christians. Some Christians feel the need to carry on “Old Covenant” traditions in order to stay in good favor with God. But they don’t understand this “New Covenant” is for everyone and not just the Jewish people as before.

Jesus said he has fulfilled the law (Matthew 5:17) what does that mean? Well under the Old Covenant unless you were Jewish, you had no hope for salvation. Traditions such as circumcision have set Jews apart to be Gods chosen people.

But under the “New Covenant” we all have hope for salvation through Jesus Christ. Instead of physical circumcision we are spiritually circumcised. God reads the minds and hearts, your religious traditions can’t save you from the penalty of sin. Only the blood of Christ can wash away our transgressions.

As God promised he sent his Holy Spirit to baptize all of us and be our guide to have “The Law” in our hearts. No longer are we slaves to sin as Jesus freed us from the wrath of The Law in Jesus Name Amen

“Shout and be glad, Daughter Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you,” declares the LORD. Zechariah 2:10

No matter how bad of a day you are having, remember you can shout and be glad because God has fulfilled this prophecy. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, just as he said he would.

God said he will live among us, and he is today. The day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit came and dwells in everyone who is sealed by the blood of Christ. God can be living inside you today, just call upon The Lord and you shall be saved.

Many times in life we get distracted on the small things. The struggles and trials of our everyday life. However God has a redemption plan for us all, that is greater than us all. All these small things that we spend our time worrying about are meaningless, because God has fulfilled his redemption plan

So no matter what your going through today, you can rejoice and be glad in this day! Because God has come and redeemed us through his Son. Then he sent our comforter , The Holy Spirit to live among us! The same power that rose Jesus from the dead is living inside us Amen!

Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantor of a better covenant. Hebrews 7:22

In the beginning God made a covenant with the Jewish people. A covenant through their Father Abraham that they would be his people forever and give them eternal life. However the problem was that mankind are sinners. And because of their continual sin and rebelliousness, they continually angered God and provoked him to say “They will no longer receive my rest” (Hebrews 3:11)

But God had a better covenant in mind, not just for the Jewish people but the entire world. A better covenant because that covenant came through the perfect blood of Jesus Christ, that took on the wages of everyone’s sins.

Jesus became God in the flesh and took on all of our imperfections and transgressions so that we might be perfect in the sight of our Heavenly Father. Nobody else could accomplish this except the Son of God, who became the Lamb of God for our sins.

Because of his royal blood, that flowed from the hill of Calvary, we now have a better and perfect covenant. A covenant that not only saved the Jewish people, but gave us an inheritance also to be one of Gods children. We now are in that better and perfect covenant through Jesus Christ Amen

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, Hebrews 6:19

What is the purpose of an anchor? An anchor is designed to connect a vessel to the bed of a body of water to prevent it from drifting away.  Also the anchor helps keep the vessel under control during a storm. This is exactly what Jesus Christ does for us, he is the anchor for our soul when the storms of life come through

No matter who you are, eventually you are going to deal with a trial or tragedy. Without Christ what is your anchor for your soul? What are you going to lean on when the storms come crashing in and destroy everything you had? People often turn to temporary pleasures in this world as an escapre from reality. But the reality is nothing can save you but Jesus Christ

He is the Rock, the foundation that we can build our lives on and never fail. No matter how big of a storm comes through, Christ has already overcome the world. Evil has already been defeated at the cross, this is why we can have the hope of Jesus Christ forever.

Even death was trampled at the feet of Christ, nothing can overcome you. This is why Jesus Christ is the anchor for our souls in everyone who puts their trust in him Amen

“He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, That we may live before Him. Hosea 6:2

All throughout the Old Testament are prophesies about Jesus, even starting in the book of Genesis. This prophecy by Hosea clearly was predicting the resurrection of Jesus Christ, for after the third day Christ rose and we may live forevermore in his presence.

When Hosea was fortelling this prophecy it probably didn’t make much sense to the Jewish people. But what the Jewish people didn’t understand, was despite all of our sins, God had a redemption plan not just for Israel but the entire world

Some might say this prophecy was for the Jewish people only. What they don’t realize is Yeshua (Jesus) is the long awaited Jewish Messiah. He is from the line of David born in Bethlehem. But his covenant was not only now for the Jewish people, but the entire world

By the blood of Jesus Christ, we are now Gods people also. When you are baptized by water and fire (Holy Spirit) you enter into the eternal covenant of God. All the prophecies and stories of the Old Testament now relate to you also. No longer are we seprated by God because of our sins, for on the third day Jesus was raised and defeated sin and death Amen!

Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 5:13-14

Our faith is a journey just like our lives are. The Bible describes when we first come to faith, or just start reading The Bible, we are like an infant on milk. What does this mean?  Think about an infant, when they first start feeding its on only milk or formula. But as a child gets older and stronger, the child now requires solid food.

This is the same with us spiritually. When we first come to Jesus, many of the subjects in The Bible are foreign to us. We can digest the basics, but have a harder time digesting the tougher issues or lessons. But the more we mature in our faith, and as The Holy Spirit leads and guides us, we understand Gods plan and purpose for humanity.

I remember when I first starting studying The Bible, the story about Abraham going to sacrifice his son Isaac really offended me. I thought to myself this story can’t be true, how could God have told Abraham to do this? But as I got wiser I realized, this purpose of this story was to show us how much God loves us by sending his only Son to be sacrificed and save us for our sins.

Typically when anyone hears the story of Isaac they are offended or troubled, but when we hear about what Jesus has done, we just shrug and take it for granted. Put into context what Christ has done for us by going to the cross for you! God never intended to hurt Isaac, as the nation of Israel came through him. God wanted us to understand how much he gave and loved us, so we may live also

Their Redeemer is strong, the LORD of hosts is His name; He will vigorously plead their case So that He may bring rest to the earth, But turmoil to the inhabitants of Babylon. Jeremiah 50:34

Its important to remember Jesus is not just our Lord and Savior, but he is also our Redeemer. Jeremiah prophesied about Christ being the Redeemer for the Jewish people. The King of Kings will one day return and save Israel from all of its enemies. The Prince of Peace will one day bring eternal peace and restore Gods Kingdom!

Often times we only remember Jesus as The Lamb of God, that was sacrificed for the sins of the world. But Jesus is also The Lion of Judah, that will rule the Earth with a rod of iron. And all the nations and governments will be on his shoulders, his Kingdom will reign forever and evil and injustice will be abolished forever.

So remember your Redeemer, Lord Jesus Christ is strong! There is no other name above his name. Every knee will bow and tounge will confess Jesus Christ is Lord. Even kings and demons will bow at the feet of The Lord Almighty. This is why the day of his return, most of the world will mourn because evil will be abolished forever from the face of the Earth.

Jesus is our rest, and he will bring peace and rest to this weary and burdened world. Be prepared and stay ready for the King of Kings is coming in the clouds, our Redeemer in Jesus Name Amen

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

What separates The Bible from all other books? The difference is , The Bible is a supernatural book of the Living Word of God that reads you instead of you reading it. Why does The Bible offend so many people? Because when you read the Living Word of God it pierces your soul like a double edge sword.

From the outside The Bible just looks like another book written by 40 authors, but all Scripture is God breathed or inspired by The Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16)  How did Moses know the creation of the world? Simple The Holy Spirit revealed it to him. How did King David and Isaiah fortell about Jesus Christ hundreds of years before he was born? Again all scripture is given by The Holy Spirit through man.

When you understand this, you understand the power of the Living Word of God. Jesus never combated people with physical violence, he fought evil with the truth of God. When Jesus spoke demons trembled and fell down at his feet, diseases are cured , prisoners are set free, the blind receive sight, the deaf begin to hear!

There is a reason Satan wants The Bible removed from everywhere, he knows the power of The Living Word of God. When Jesus was confronted by Satan in the wilderness, he used The Word of God to defeat Satan! If your not strapping a Bible with you, you are going into the battle without your sword, preach the living Word of God and watch how it changes lives in Jesus Name Amen
