Creator over creature

For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Romans 1:25

Notice who they worshiped, they worshiped the creature rather than the Creator. Who is the creature? The serpent , Satan.  Jesus taught us that Satan is the God of this world. The entire world is under the spell of the evil one.

We see this prevalent today. The world is saying there is no God, the world is saying we now worship ourselves. As Paul says even though they knew God , they never gave him glory or thanks for anything (Romans 1:21) We see this today, Science has proven Gods existence however scientist don’t want to God any glory or credit for his creation.

The problem is we were all made to worship. Its our human nature to worship. Therefor when people reject their Creator they begin worshipping other things. People today worship money, sex, sports, and themselves. Nobody bows down before their true God and Creator

For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. Romans 1:26-27

Because the world has rejected God, he gave them over to their own sins. You wonder why people are so sick and perverted these day, God has granted them their free will to indulge in their sinfulness. However the consequences of sin is death, since the world worships the creature rather than the Creator, they will all perish. Only through the blood of Jesus Christ, can anyone be saved

Heavenly Father, we pray that everyone comes to know you, to acknowledge you and give thanks for your great love and mercy, in Jesus name Amen

REPENT

Thus I will punish the world for its evil And the wicked for their iniquity; I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud And abase the haughtiness of the ruthless. Isaiah 13:11

We talk a lot about the Good News (Gospel) of Jesus Christ, however there is some bad news also. Sin that is not atoned for will be punished. Anyone who does not repent and accept Christ as their Lord and Savior, their sins will be punished. You might ask why or how is this fair?

Everything has consequences, even if you don’t believe in God your actions have consequences. For example if you murder someone, good chances you are going to prison for a long time or maybe sentenced to death, regardless if you believe in God or not. This is called the “Moral Law” and its one of the many proofs that God exists. We as humans know right from wrong morally because there is a God.

God has a plan to restore creation, in order for paradise to be restored, evil must be purged. All sin is evil, all sin didn’t come from God. In fact all sin goes against creation. The reason God hates sin is because sin leads to destruction and death. All sin must be removed in order for Gods perfect Kingdom is restored once again

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

The consequences of our sin is death, our only hope to eternal life is through Jesus Christ. But you must truly Repent meaning turn away from your sins, don’t pass up the free gift of God in Jesus, once judgement comes there will be no second chances!

Heavenly Father, we pray that everyone will come to repentance and be saved in Jesus name Amen!

Salvation

“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2

Who is your salvation? For the Jewish people God was always their salvation. As Isaiah sings this hymn to remind them of the wonderous works God has performed for them, and the works that are about to become. But the message wasn’t just for the Jewish people , as we have seen throughout the book of Isaiah, the message of salvation is also for the Gentiles, you and me

The same God of Abraham , Isaac, and Jacob is the same God of Matthew, Mark , Luke , and John. Its important to remember that! The prophet Isaiah brings it together throughout his prophecies by the Holy Spirit. Salvation by God is found through Jesus Christ!

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12

The definition of Salvation is the preservation or deliverance from harm , ruin , or loss. There is no hope of salvation in your life except through Jesus Christ! As the Holy Spirit revealed through Peter. Through Christ we no longer have to fear, he has defeated everything including death at the cross. Jesus is our strength and song, for those who accept him Amen!

Heavenly Father, we pray that everyone would understand the only way to salvation is through your Son in Jesus Name Amen!

Gifts of The Holy Spirit

The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. Isaiah 11:2

The original teachings of the “Gifts of the Holy Spirit” was actually revealed by Isaiah. When Jesus preached in the synagogue about the “The Spirit of Yahweh” being upon him (Luke 4) the religious leaders quickly wanted to kill him. Why? Because they knew exactly what he was saying, here is another example of the Trinity, where the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit come together in complete unison

You might say why would Jesus need the Holy Spirit when he is the Son of God? Remember Jesus came to Earth in human form as a man, to become The Lamb of God to take the punishment for our sins. In order for Jesus to accomplish this, he must have become human just like us

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:4

The Gifts of The Holy Spirit which Paul teaches about here are the same that Isaiah revealed which were demonstrated through Jesus Christ.  Each one of us has different gifts given to us by God, but regardless of how different we may all be spiritually , all the gifts come from the Holy Spirit

Some are anointed to preach, some are anointed to heal, whatever your gift is don’t compare yourself to other Christians. We all have our purpose to serve in Gods Kingdom! Jesus had all the gifts, showing that he was truly the Messiah, the Son of God

Heavenly Father, we pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, may we empower us in Jesus Name Amen

Consuming Fire

And the light of Israel will become a fire and his Holy One a flame, And it will burn and devour his thorns and his briars in a single day. Isaiah 10:17

Its no mistake that God would reference his Holy One a flame and a fire. The coming of the Holy Spirit which was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost is referenced as a flame and fire throughout the Bible. So why fire? Because fire is used to transform , just as heat is used to forge things or transform a rock into a diamond. It is also used to devour and eliminate such as dead wood or brush

And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. Acts 2:3

When the Holy Spirit came to Jerusalem it was described as “tongues of fire” The Holy Spirit that was fortold by Jesus came to empower The Church. Just as the prophet Isaiah fortold the Holy One (the Holy Spirit) is a flame. How can the gospel of Christ be spread so quickly to establish the Church? The fire of the Holy Spirit, which broke down all nationalities and language barriers to bring everyone to salvation

for our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:29

God , the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is a consuming Fire! The fire that will empower and strengthen the lost and weak, the same flame that will devour the wicked and evil. Invite the Holy Spirit into your life today, the consuming fire in Jesus Name Amen!
