Jesus answered, “You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.” John 19:11

Pontius Pilate believed he ruled the world. He believe he had total power and authority over everyone and everything, including Jesus. However Pilate was just as misled as many people are today.

People today still mock Jesus, they still curse his name. They falsely believe that they are free and have power over their lives. However just as Pilate came to realize, we all will one day. We are slaves to sin and death without Jesus Christ. The only one who can set your free , we put to death because of our wickedness

But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. John 19:15

After Pilate spent some time with Jesus , he realized Jesus is the Son of God. Pilate wanted to release him, he even washed his hands of his death. However the influence from the masses was greater than his heart for God.

Even today the world is still trying to crucify Christ. All the immorality and evil of this world, is the same as screaming for the blood of Christ. People living in lawlessness have no King but Satan.

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last,and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.  Revelation 1:17-18

The world thought by killing Jesus all there morality issues would disappear. But nobody has authority over Christ, Jesus layed down his life to pay the debts of his people. Now he’s alive forevermore and coming back soon! Are you ready? Who is your King? Who is your Lord?

The Potter

Can I not, O house of Israel, deal with you as this potter does?” declares the LORD. “Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel. Jeremiah 18:6

Throughout The Bible , God speaks about us being his clay and he is our Potter. However we live in a world who rejects the Potter. We as the clay, believe we have superior knowledge , to the one who created us. It seems foolish when you analyze it with this analogy, however this is exactly how humanity has become

Imagine if you allowed , the Potter, to mold you into what he had intended from the beginning? Could the outcome of your life have been better? However we are rebellious and stubborn people, we want control, we want pleasure, regardless of the consequences.

“But they will say, ‘It’s hopeless! For we are going to follow our own plans, and each of us will act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart.’ Jeremiah 18:12

Instead of following your Creator, you follow your own plans blindly. Why? Because you want to be your own god, regardless of the consequences. However destruction and death are near, but you don’t care, as long as you are calling the shots!

On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this,” will it? Romans 9:20

It seems ridiculous the creation would argue back with the Creator, but that is what we do! How foolish are we, do you have to wonder why our world is such a disaster? Listen to your Creator, allow him to mold you into what you were designed to be.

You cant save yourself, we can only be saved by the Savior Jesus Christ!

Peace of Christ

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Colossians 3:15

Peace, how can we have peace in a chaotic and sinful world? How can we have peace will all the pain and suffering, all the violence and wars? Its simple, let Christ rule your heart! Sounds like a simple solution, so why doesn’t anyone do it? Why doesn’t anyone submit to Jesus and let the peace which is beyond human comprehension rule their hearts?

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

One of Jesus many titles is Prince of Peace, many reject Jesus because they will say “I don’t see world peace, therefor he is not the Messiah”  The Peace needs to be inside Your heart! You cant control the world but you can control yourself. Live in peace knowing your separation from God has been reconciled. Through Christ you can be a Child of God!

Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.” Luke 2:14

When the Angels declared the birth of the Messiah Jesus, they told the shepherds now there is Peace on Earth. Why? Because until this point, there was no way to the Father. There was a Great Veil that separated Us from God because of our sins.

But on this day, Jesus provided a way to bring God and his people back together. Jesus provided a way to bring us salvation which it the Good News (Gospel).

So this Christmas, let Christ rule your heart, accept the greatest gift ever given which is Jesus Christ Amen!

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

  • A child is born “ Luke 2:10 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
  • A Son is given “ John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
  • Governments will be on his shoulders “Revelations 19:16 “On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.”
  • Wonderful Counselor “ John 14:16 “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Enmity

And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.” Genesis 3:15

The first prophecy of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ was In the Beginning. After Sin had entered into the world, God already had a redemption plan for humanity.  God prophesied that the Messiah (Christ) would be born through a Woman (Mary) and he would crush (bruise)  the serpent (Satan)

The word “Enmity” means Hostility. From the very beginning, starting in the Garden, God and Satan were at war with each other. Since the beginning Satan has been trying to kill off the Messiah (Christ) but has failed every time!

Then when Herod saw that he had been tricked by the magi, he became very enraged, and sent and slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the magi.  Then what had been spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: Matthew 2:16-17

Part of the Christmas story most don’t want to talk about , is when Satan used King Herod, to try and kill off the Messiah (Christ) Herod knew from the prophecies and the wise men that the Messiah has just been born in Bethlehem. This was warned by God through the prophet Jeremiah known as “Rachels Weeping”

Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. John 19:30

Satan failed to eliminate Jesus, and when Christ said “It Is Finished” on the cross, his work was complete. At that moment Jesus crushed the head of Satan and abolished sin and death. The war has been won by Christ, it all started in the manger. Glory to our New Born King of Kings! Amen!

Fullness of Time

But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, Galatians 4:4

The fullness of time came when Jesus was born in Bethlehem, born in a manger, born of a virgin. What a redemption story God has given us! When the fullness of the time came, God became human and lived among us. God came down to save us from our sins, the fullness of time has come!

But in order for God to save us , he must put himself Under The Law. In order for the covenant to be fulfilled or completed, God must fulfill The Law. Anyone who is Under the Law is cursed (Galatians 3:10) but anyone Under the Grace of Jesus Christ is Set Free!

so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Galatians 4:5

Jesus was born so he can redeem us from our Sins. Under The Law we were condemned to death, but through Jesus Christ he has made us Children of God. The greatest adoption happened in world history, through Christ we were adopted by the blood of Christ.

Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” Galatians 4:6

By the works of Christ, we have become adopted as Children of God. After we receive Christ into our hearts, we are baptized by the Holy Spirit. God is no longer separated from us but now he is our Abba Father!

The fullness of time came on that Christmas morning, when we accept Christ we become Children of God Amen!
