God In Disguise

The man answered, “Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. John 9:30

Many people claim to be “Christians” but do they even know Christ? The religious leaders claimed to be experts of God, they memorize the scriptures and knew all the religious traditions. However when God was performing miracles right before their eyes, they couldn’t even identify him.

As the scripture says “He (Jesus) was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world knew him not (John 1:10) Jesus walked among the most holiest and religious people in the world, yet they didn’t recognize him at all. Even when he performed miracles, such as resurrecting the dead, that only God could perform, they still rejected him

Even though the entire Old Testament or Tanakh, fortold about the coming of Jesus. And Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies , around 300 of them. They still didn’t know him. Is God working in your life right now and you don’t recognize him?

We can have all the religious knowledge we want, but if we don’t have faith, we may miss God in disguise also. Don’t be spiritually blind like the religious leaders, keep your hearts and minds open to the Holy Spirit to flood you in Jesus Name Amen!

Fear of God

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

With the recent attack on the church in Texas, we mourn for our fellow Christians who lost there lives to the senseless evil of this world. Often when events like this happen, many questions about our faith begin. Where was God during this? Was this really Gods plan for their lives?

Many people like to blame God during these events, but the truth is we have “free will” and evil that happens in this world is a result of people doing evil. If God intervened and controlled every situation on Earth, then we wouldn’t really be free. We would be robots or God would be a dictator. But God loves us enough to allow us to make free decisions, but all choices have consequences.

The answer is simple, if we want evil to stop happening in the world, then people need to stop doing evil. The fact is people have lost the “Fear of God” and have no accountability or respect anymore. This is what happens when you want to make an “Atheist” or “Godless” nation. If there is no God anymore, there is no morals or accountability anymore, and you’ll most likely see more of these evil acts continue.

As for my fellow Christians, we can take comfort in the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He told us they may be able to kill our bodies but they can’t take our soul. Our souls belong to God, and as the Body of Christ, we can live in peace and hope knowing nobody can take our soul in Jesus Name Amen

Last Days

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
2 Timothy 3:1‭-‬5 NIV

Always Be Prepared

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 1 Peter 3:15

Always be prepared is a motto we mostly associate with the Boy Scouts of America, however this is actually a Biblical principle.. So what does it mean to always be prepared to give someone an answer?

As you mature and walk through your Christian faith, you’re going to be confronted with many questions. These questions may come from non believers or maybe even fellow Christians. So how can you be prepared to answer the hard questions of The Bible? The obvious answer is to continually study the Bible, and also asking God for the Holy Spirits wisdom and guidance.

Anyone who ever studied the Bible knows that it never gets old, there are so many prophecies and mysteries revealed in The Bible, no matter how long you’ve been studying, you’re always learning something new. You may read a scripture , and then reread it a month later and see it in a new light. Because the more you seek for Gods answers, he reveals it to you

Does this mean we will always have the answer for everything? Of course not, however when confronted with difficult questions of the faith, we should be able to give a reasonable and insightful answer that is Biblical. And as the scripture says , always try to do this in gentleness and respect. We have a tendacy as humans, to get defensive or confrontational when someone doesn’t agree with our views.

By being defensive you often turn people away who are searching for the truth,  its not always easy but we should be patient and firm when dealing with others who don’t understand a doctrine or truth of The Bible.  Remember when you have spoken the truth and others still want to reject it, to “shake the dust” off your feet and move on. Just plant the seed of truth of God in Jesus Name Amen

I AM

“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” John 8:58

If you are not Jewish this statement by Jesus might not make any sense to you, but the Jewish people knew exactly what Jesus was saying here. They said to Jesus “You are not yet fifty years old and Jesus is claiming he has seen Abraham”

To understand this statement we must first know who Abraham was, he was the Father of Israel. God called Abraham to begin the nation of Israel and through him his blood line they would be as numerous as the stars. The Jews told Jesus that Abraham is there Father, but Jesus tried to explain that God is our Heavenly Father

The fact that Jesus claimed he was before and even seen Abraham, is revealing that he is the Son of God. Jesus is revealing his deity and position as the beginning and end. The Jews understood this statement, which is why they had such a strong reaction  to it

Lastly Jesus ends his statement by saying he is “I AM”, the Jews know this title as God revealed to Moses that his name is “I AM” (Exodus 3:14) The Hebrew translation is Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh meaning “I will be who I will be”

God reveals himself however he wants, he is not confined by time and space, hes not in a box that our minds try to put him in. He has revealed himself in the flesh in Jesus Name Amen

Chosen People

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9

Do you ever feel like you don’t belong? Or do you feel like your unwanted or ordinary? Well through Jesus Christ you are Gods chosen people! Remember you didn’t choose God first, he chose you because he loves you enough to die for you!

For a lot of people this is hard to believe, the creator of the universe would specifically chose them. But its true we worship a God who loves, a God who even when we were still sinners and disobedient. He still sent his only begotten Son to take the wages of our sins. There is no greater act of love, than what Christ did already for us!

And through Christ royal blood we have become royalty. No longer are we slaves and beggars to sin and death. No longer do we sell our soul to the world for attention. We have been called by our creator, God our Father, to be his chosen people and reign with the King of Kings

So come out of the darkness and into the light of the world who is Jesus Christ! You are Gods special possession and he has chosen you in Jesus Name Amen

Gods Glory

Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him. John 7:18

Are you doing things for your glory or Gods glory? Jesus was addressing people who were rejecting and criticizing his teachings and miracles. They even went as far to accuse Jesus of being demon possessed and working for Satan. But Jesus told him none of this was for his Glory but for God our Father!

You see a lot of TV evangelist claiming to be doing the will of God, yet are living in mansions and flying in private jets. They have their names and faces posted all over books, while they are signing them like rock stars. Who’s Glory is this really for?

I believe most ministries start out with good intentions and then the root of evil , money and greed, get the best of a lot of ministries. Its important they we continually humble ourselves before God and do his will not ours

Jesus did the will of God our Father, even total obedience to the cross! Even when Jesus prayed to let this cup pass over him, he still did Gods will for his glory. Seek the glory of God our Father in Jesus name Amen
