Enmity

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” Genesis 3:15

The first prophecy of our Lord Jesus comes in the first book in the Bible Genesis. You don’t have to read far into the Bible to know that God had a plan for our redemption and it was through his Son Jesus Christ.

Enmity– state or feeling of being actively opposed, or enemy

Notice Jesus is between Satan and mankind. Jesus is the Savior of the world opposing the evilness of Satan. Her offspring that is prophesied is none other than the birth of Jesus Christ. The woman that is prophesied is the virgin Mary. Through the birth of Christ, at the manger, God has revealed his plan for redemption for the human race.

There is no other road to redemption except through the offspring, the Son of God, Jesus Christ. He is the Truth, Life , and Way we can’t get to the Father without him. As God promised Jesus will crush the head of Satan, he defeated sin and death at the cross.

But Satan will continue to strike our heels, meaning he will continue to attack Christians and God. We need to stay strong in The Lord, remember that our Savior was born and he redeemed us all in Jesus Name Amen

Chosen One

Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations. Isaiah 42:1

Notice Jesus is not only Gods Son but his servant. Why? Because Jesus was obedient to his Father, He was obedient to carry out the will of his Father, to save us all from our sins. As Jesus said “By myself I can do nothing” (John 5:30) Jesus came to serve and not be served (Matthew 20:28)

But Jesus is “The Chosen One” , as God confirmed “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased (Matthew 3:17) born of a virgin, the chosen one, Jesus Christ, was sent here to save the world and be our Lord and Savior.

God put his Spirit on him, as confirmed when John baptized Jesus in the Jordan River and when he came up John confirmed “I saw the Spirit come down from Heaven as a dove and remain on him “(John 1:32) Even though Jesus was born the son of man, he is the Son of God full of the Holy Spirit.

Let’s remember the reason for this season is to celebrate the birth of our Messiah, who brought justice to all the nations! He brings hope to the hopeless and makes the crocked paths straight in Jesus Name Amen

Glorify God

The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. Luke 2:20

How do you celebrate Christmas? Do you remember to glorify and praise God? When the shepherds were out in the field that night, they were visited by a whole host of angels to tell them the good news about Christ. If Heaven was so excited about the birth of Jesus, shouldn’t we be also?

There are many people who dread the Christmas season, some even feel depressed. But remember how the Shepherds felt when they first heard the good news about Jesus Christ. They were all excited and rejoicing because God fulfilled all his promises of our Messiah.

If you need something to get excited about , think about the new born King. Think about the hope , joy, and peace he has brought to the world because he came to save the world. The Prince of Peace brings Joy to the world because he is the salvation of God.

Just as the shepherds, we need to be glorifying and praising God for sending his only begotten Son in Jesus Name Amen

Image of God

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. Colossians 1:15

Jesus is the image of God, the Word that became flesh. Think about it before Jesus came to Earth, nobody knew what God looked like.  Before at the Holy Temple, there was a veil that separated people from God. Only the high priest was permitted to pass beyond that veil (Hebrews 9:7) But when Jesus was born and took the cross all our sins that veil has been torn (Matthew 27)

The birth of Jesus means so many things to us, one thing is it brought us a personal relationship with our Creator and Heavenly Father.  Anyone who has seen Jesus has seen God (John 14:9) Jesus is the image of God, the Nativity story shows us how God works in mysterious ways, he is in complete control.

Jesus is the firstborn over all creation, meaning if you want eternal life it comes through Jesus Christ. He was born of a virgin to take away the sins of the world. Jesus was here before Creation, for by him all things were created (Colossians 1:16) but he lowered himself below the angels to take our sins and eventually taste death.

So rejoice this Christmas season, for Christ was born, Jesus the image of God came here to save you and give you eternal life. Accept this gift of grace and mercy in Jesus Name Amen

The Morning Star

“I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel. He will crush the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of all the people of Sheth. Numbers 24:17

Jesus is the morning star, (Revelation 22:16) and it was the Star of Bethlehem that led the shepherds and wise men to the new born King. Balaam, another prophet, who confirmed the coming of our Messiah, Jesus Christ, is the reason we celebrate the season.

A scepter , meaning royalty or King, will rise out of Israel. That King, Jesus, was born in a manger in Bethlehem, fulfilling many prophecies and saving us from our sins. Jesus is the King of Kings (Revelation 19:16) there is no one greater, come and worship your King.

The Moabites had enticed the Israelites into sinning and therefor losing Gods protection and caused major deaths. Jesus has overcome sin and death, there fulfilling this as Moab is symbolic of sin and death.

The people of Sheth (Seth) or people of Seth who was the third son of Noah representing all of mankind. Means Jesus, the Messiah , has come to save all of man kind, which he fulfilled this prophecy on the cross. So rejoice this season for our Messiah has come in Jesus Name Amen

What is CHRISTmas?

One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:5-8

What does Christmas mean to you? There are some Christians who choose to condemn the celebration of Christmas and those who choose to acknowledge it, who is the judge? There are some who point out that Christmas has some pagan roots but others who use this opportunity to acknowledge our Lord and Savior. The more I search for the meaning of Christmas, the more I realize it’s a personal decision just as is our relationship with God. Nobody can be converted to a Christian, it’s a personal relationship with our God, just the same nobody can be told what the true meaning of Christmas is.

We can choose to ignore Christmas and pretend it doesn’t exist, but does that lead people to Christ? To the lost that will never hear a scripture or know a Church, can they benefit from not hearing the gospel of the Nativity? Some who claim its not Biblical to celebrate the birth of Christ need to reread the scriptures. Angels, Shepherds, and Wisemen came to bow down to the new born King and rejoice for its the salvation of the human race.

So me and my family will celebrate Christmas and use it to glorify the name and birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. If you agree or don’t agree, its ok. One day we will all stand before Jesus and give account of our actions. May the peace of God rule your hearts this Christmas Season in the name of the Prince of Peace Amen

Arm of God

He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. Luke 1:51

Who is the arm of God? When Mary received the Good News from the Angel Gabriel that she was chosen to give birth to The Messiah, she Glorified God with her song. The Arm of God is Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God in Flesh

See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. Isaiah 40:10

Isaiah 40 prophesies about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, he is referenced as “The Mighty Arm of God’ among other things. When we understand this analogy, we then begin to understand The Trinity. As Jesus said “I and the Father are One” (John 10:30) He is the extension or branch of God in The Flesh. Jesus said he sits at the right hand of God (Mark 16:19) There is no greater power or authority than the right hand of God

When you understand this, you understand the importance of Jesus Christ coming to the world to save our sins. The Salvation of God sent in the Flesh, The Arm of God extended to the world to save it from our sins. Without our Messiah there is no Salvation, give praise and thanks to our Lord this season in Jesus Name Amen

Scepter Is Born

Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. Psalm 45:6

Scepter– royal or imperial power or authority , sovereignty

Remember all power and authority has been given to Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18) He is the Scepter, this is a prophecy of the coming of our King.

Christmas is a time to remember the birth of our Scepter, Jesus Christ. The Son of the Living God delivered to us to establish Gods kingdom that will last forever. There will be no end to the reign of Jesus Christ. His throne has been established on that day in the manger.

Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord and Lords (Revelation 19:16) Its time to rejoice and give thanks for your new born King. The King that has overcome the world, The King that was willing to lay down his life for us.

Is Jesus the King of your Kingdom? Have you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior? This Christmas season get the gift of life, the gift that is eternal and will never fade away. By the power of the Blood of Christ, we are victorious! The throne of God has been established in Jesus Name Amen!

Out of Bethlehem

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times. Micah 5:2

God works in mysterious ways. 700 years before Christ was born in a manger in Bethlehem, a prophet named Micah foretold about the coming Messiah. When people heard this prophecy there were probably rejoicing and celebrating, for God has saved them from the oppression of the world.

However, the coming of our King, didn’t happen the way we would all imagine the King of Kings entering the world. He was born of a virgin, who was to be put to death because nobody believed her story. He was carried on a donkey over 70 miles in Mary’s womb making the treacherous journey to Bethlehem.

At the time Mary and Joseph probably thought traveling to Bethlehem was the worst scenario that could have happened, but what they didn’t know was they were fulfilling Gods plan for the world. For our Messiah was to come from Bethlehem, and he did in a lowly manger.

Whatever you think Christmas is about, know this story it begins in the manger in Bethlehem where God sent his son to save the world. Remember this story and the prophecies fulfilled in Jesus Name Amen
