Christmas- Micah 5-Out of Bethlehem

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times. Micah 5:2

God works in mysterious ways. 700 years before Christ was born in a manger in Bethlehem, a prophet named Micah foretold about the coming Messiah. When people heard this prophecy there were probably rejoicing and celebrating, for God has saved them from the oppression of the world.

However, the coming of our King, didn’t happen the way we would all imagine the King of Kings entering the world. He was born of a virgin, who was to be put to death because nobody believed her story. He was carried on a donkey over 70 miles in Mary’s womb making the treacherous journey to Bethlehem.

At the time Mary and Joseph probably thought traveling to Bethlehem was the worst scenario that could have happened, but what they didn’t know was they were fulfilling Gods plan for the world. For our Messiah was to come from Bethlehem, and he did in a lowly manger.

A couple of things about this prophecy are amazing when you understand, first the accuracy of the prophecy, as we know Israel was eventually divided into two kingdoms, Israel and Judah, so there was actually two Bethlehem’s eventually. The fact that the prophet Micah , not only told the correct city of Jesus birth, but also the correct Bethlehem of Ephrath, its amazing

Secondly the city of Bethlehem’s main industry was the breeding of the Passover Lambs. As we know Jesus is The Lamb of God (John 1:29) our Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7) so it makes perfect sense , Jesus would be born in Bethlehem , the city of the Passover Lamb, born in a manger as the Lamb of God

Whatever you think Christmas is about, know this story it begins in the manger in Bethlehem where God sent his son to save the world. Remember this story and the prophecies fulfilled in Jesus Name Amen

Follow The Star

When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Matthew 2:10-11

The Star of Bethlehem led the wise man to find the newborn King, Jesus Christ. What has led you to Christ? If you’re unsure, just like the wise men, why don’t you search the prophesies of the Messiah? When the wisemen set off for a journey of about 1,000 miles, it took them almost 2 years to complete.

The wise men weren’t sure what they were going to find, they did know that the Messiah was to be born in Bethlehem,  and God sent a prophetic sign of the Star, to guide the wise men in finding the King of Kings. Is God sending you a sign today? Come search for your Messiah!

What is the significance of the gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh? These gifts were given to only royalty as it showed the deity of Jesus Christ.

Gold- For obvious reasons, since Jesus was the King of Kings, he was presented with what is still the most valuable commodity on Earth. Gold was always is still is very valuable and a strong representation of Jesus stature

Frankincense-  Another symbol of Jesus deity, as Frankincense was burned routinely in the Temple of God , as it was required by God during worship (Leviticus 2:16)

Myrrh-  a holy anointing oil, yet again another sign of Jesus deity, that he is The Son of God and truly the Messiah.

It’s also notable that Frankincense and Myrrh had a lot of health and healing benefits, even still today they are used.  So what gifts are you offering to your King? God is sending you a sign today, its time to come to the manger and find your Lord and Savior in Jesus Name Amen

Out of Bethlehem

Where Is The One?

and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:2

Are you searching for the King of Kings? If your searching for your Lord and Savior, look no further than the manger. That’s where it all began, when God sent his only begotten Son down to Earth to save us from our sins. The question is are you searching? As Jesus said “Seek and you will find” (Matthew 7:7) This season seek for your Messiah, knock and the door will be opened (Matthew 7:7)

And when the wise men found Jesus, they worshiped him. Are you worshiping God today in Truth and Spirit? Don’t be ashamed on your Lord and Savior, as Jesus said anyone who is not ashamed of him , he won’t be ashamed of you before God (Mark 8:38)

This season Seek your Savior, find your only salvation from the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. The greatest present was already given to you, before you were even born. It’s the hope, grace, mercy, and peace that can only be found through Jesus Christ. Come worship at the manger this season in Jesus Name Amen

Immanuel

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14

God sent us a sign, what is the sign that the birth of Jesus Christ has given us? The sign of Christ is of hope, peace, and victory. Through a lowly baby in the manger, God has defeated Satan. A King given to us in a manger, who would have ever predicted this? But God told us this would happen 700 years before it did, and he fulfilled his promise.

The Son of God could only come through a Virgin because he is holy. Our Lord never sinned yet he came to die for our sins. He is the only one who could save us because we are not able to save ourselves. The only begotten Son of God was delivered to us , there is the sign from God for redemption.

Immanuel means God is with us, even though the world didn’t recognize or receive him. God is with us, through his Son, and through his Spirit. We can rejoice this season because God has sent us a sign, that we have salvation in Jesus Name Amen

Child is Born

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Who is this child prophesied about in the Bible? It’s the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who was foretold about 700 years before Jesus came to Earth.  In fact, if you study the Old Testament the coming of Yeshua (Jesus) was prophesied throughout it. So let’s remember and rejoice that God has sent his only begotten Son to save us from our sins.

Jesus is many things to us, our Lord, our Savior, our Wonderful Counselor, our Mighty God, our Everlasting Father, and importantly our Prince of Peace. Without Christ as the center of your life, you can’t have peace. You can’t buy it or drink it or smoke it, it can only be obtained by The Holy Spirit of God.

We have peace knowing that we are redeemed and forgiven. We have peace knowing that by the blood of Christ, we are Children of God. We can have peace knowing that we worship the God of The Living and not of the dead. So let the peace of Christ rule your hearts this season and glorify his name in Jesus Name Amen

Give Thanks

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus 1 Thessalonians 5:18

During Thanksgiving we ponder what we are thankful for, we recognize the blessings that God has given us. But the truth is we should treat every like Thanksgiving. Everyday is a gift from God, nothing should be taken for granted. If you wake up in the morning with breathe in your body, you should be thankful. However we have a tendency to become complacent. We take for granted everything that God has already given us and were not thankful anymore. We need to live each day like it’s a new day with a new beginning. Thank God everyday for your spouse, your children, your family, your job, your home. Don’t take a single blessing for granted.

Remember the victories that God has already won for you in the past, celebrate these and give glory to God. Don’t forget what your Father has already provided for you, because it pleases him to give you more. Most importantly we need to remember that there are many who suffer, your blessings may seem small to you but to others they would give anything to be in your place. Give Thank to God in all your circumstances , good or bad, because we are blessed and victorious in Jesus Name Amen

Happy Thanksgiving

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalm 100:4

Will you enter today with “Thanksgiving” towards God? While we reflect on the things we are thankful for today, let’s remember to Thank our Heavenly Father! This is the day The Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it (Psalm 118:24)

We have so much to be Thankful for a lot of times we overlook the small victories in our life. Let’s first remember that we are here for a purpose, God has a plan for our lives. He made us in his image, breathed life into our bodies. Be Thankful God has put you here to fulfill your destiny!

Thank God for our Lord Jesus Christ, who laid down his life for us all to save us from our sins. We can be Thankful and hopeful today because we have victory through Christ! Our Father showed his grace and mercy towards us because he loves us like a Father

Lets be Thankful for everything God provides for us including our spouses, our children, our family, our home. Everything we have we give Thanks to The Lord, so today Enter his Gates with Thanksgiving because our God is an awesome God in Jesus Name Amen

Lion of Judah

Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.” Revelation 5:5

We have Victory through Jesus Christ, he is The Lion of Judah and the Root of David that has been prophesied throughout the Bible. He is the only one worthy to open the Book of Life because we have been redeemed by his blood.

The Lion of Judah was prophesied since Genesis

You are a lion’s cub, Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness–who dares to rouse him? (Genesis 49:9)

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his. (Genesis 49:10)

Who dares to wage war with the Lion of Judah? We know the Dragon (Satan) and his followers are foolish enough to and will be destroyed into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:10) The King of Kings will not depart from Judah, he will rule over all the nations and governments (Isaiah 9:7)

So do not weep Children of God, rejoice for your King , The Lion of Judah is victorious , fighting our battles and will sit on the throne forever in Jesus Name Amen

Spiritual Wisdom

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people and his incomparably great power for us who believe. Ephesians 1:18

The gift of Spiritual Wisdom is one of the 7 gifts giving to us by The Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12) Can we truly know God and understand Jesus without the guidance of the Spirit? I don’t believe so

Without the Holy Spirit The Bible couldn’t have been written for it tells us in (2 Timothy 3:16) All scripture is God breathed. The original Hebrew word for breathe was “ruach” means spirit.

Jesus said anyone who blasphemies against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven (Mark 3:29)  I think it shows you the importance and seriousness of The Holy Spirit

That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. Ephesians 1:19-21

The same power that rose Jesus from the grave is living inside of us (Romans 8:11) That’s the Holy Spirit living inside of you, the Power of God. I know I use this scripture a lot but I think its important to understand and believe this.

Notice the end of this scripture it tells us Jesus is not only King now but he will be the King forever. The Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He’s sitting on the throne right now awaiting the appropriate time to restore Gods Kingdom and rule with a rod of iron

And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. Ephesians 1:22-23

Jesus is the God Head of The Church, the cornerstone. No man or government has authority to change his Word or ways. As Jesus is the same today, yesterday and forever. Any church that changes Gods laws is blasphemy and a false religion.

Don’t get misled by false doctrine, Jesus is the Truth and the only Truth. He taught us in John 14 he would send his “Spirit of Truth” which is the Holy Spirit to guide us. Tell the Holy Spirit you are welcomed here in Jesus Name Amen
