Got Faith?

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:9?

Your faith determines everything. For it’s easy for people to say they believe but to really demonstrate that faith is a true test. For we walk by faith and not by sight. Therefore if you have no faith, you don’t walk with The Lord.

The salvation of your soul is based on your faith. God is a just God, therefore would it be fair for everyone receive the same reward. No your reward in heaven is based on your faith level and relationship you have with Jesus.

(Matthew 14:31) “And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”

Peter believed, and when he put his faith in Jesus he walked on the water. But the Peter started to doubt and immediately began to sink. Isn’t this similar to our own lives. We believe and have faith, take a bold step, only to begin to doubt ourselves and begin to sink.

But as he did in this story, Jesus is always there to save us. But you can tell the disappointment in Jesus statement, why do you doubt? Why do we doubt? What more does Jesus have to do for us till we put full faith into him?

(Matthew 17:20) “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

It only takes faith the size of the mustard seed to move a mountain, yet we still don’t have enough. Why? What do you have faith in? If you can’t believe in our Lord who saved our life, what do you believe in?

You have the power of the almighty God behind you, the God who created the Heavens and the Earth, who knows every star by name, who knows the number of hairs on your head. Why do you doubt him?

(James 2:17) “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Eventually one day God is going to call you to take a leap of faith. To do something bold to show his glory. This will show your true faith, will you answer his call or ignore him?

Your task from God might seem illogical or maybe even insane to the world, but trust in The Lord and your faith will reward you. So ask yourself do you really have faith? Faith to walk on water or move a mountain or is your faith dead?

No Sign No Excuse

And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation. Mark 8:12

If only God showed me a sign I would believe. If only , If only, If only  Sound familiar? Generations continue to question God and demand a sign. What sign do you really want to see? Perhaps God showed you signs but you were too busy and distracted to pay attention.

(Romans 1:20)” For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

You want a sign but the creation of the almighty God is clearly present, the planets, the stars, and most importantly yourself. You are without excuse, you can deny the living God all you want but you can’t deny the awesomeness of his creation.

(Colossians 1:15) “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:”

Jesus is the image of the invisible God, Word became Flesh and dwelt among us. Who will deny the existence of Jesus Christ?  Only fools would say that God doesn’t exist, the signs were giving to us throughout history.

(Genesis 1:27) “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

We are created in the image of God, if you want to believe in God look in the mirror. To deny the existence of your heavenly Father is to deny yourself.  How insulting is it that we deny our maker when he breathed life into our bodies. You rather believe we were formed from nothiness

(Hebrews 11:3)” Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

When you understand the Word of God and understand our almighty God, then you will understand your existence. Your demands for a sign are unjustified. You should be grateful you have been giving the gift of life. If you don’t believe, stop waiting for a sign. For you are all without excuse, for God lives in us all in Jesus Name Amen

Drop Your Stones

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. John 8:7

The prostitute caught in the act was going to be executed for her sins. To all the men this was justified by the commandments of God. So here comes Jesus, God in the flesh, surely he will lay down his wrath upon this sinner.

But instead Jesus asked us to judge ourselves, who among us is without sin? Who among us is worthy to be the judge of righteousness? None of us, for we all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.

(John 5:22) “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:”

Jesus, the Son of God, is the only one who can judge us. So why do we waste our time judging others? Do you believe you have the authority to judge anyone?

Instead of judging people of there sins and shortfalls we need to show them the love and mercy of Jesus. Judgment is not ours, judgment is for Jesus. If it was up to man they would have stoned the women to death and felt it was justified. But it wouldn’t have been justified becase it was the will of God.

(Matthew 7:1) “”Do not judge, or you too will be judged.”

When Jesus asked who was without sin, everyone dropped there stone. Why? Because were all guilty, were all not worthy of the book of life. But Jesus thru his blood on the cross made it possible for us to be redeemed of those sins.

With that said judgment is not ours, you want to continue judging people you will bring more judgment upon yourself.  We need to show people the love and mercy of Christ and leave the judgment to him.

(John 8:11) “She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”

After Jesus showed his mercy, he instructed her to sin no more. Mercy isn’t giving someone a free pass on a life of sin. It’s about changing your life from sin. When you feel and experience the love of Jesus you will change your life

If you continue to judege others, which is not your authority, they may never feel the love and mercy of Christ. Drop your stones, let judgment up to Jesus, and show people the love of Christ in Jesus name Amen

Contentment is Great Gain

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Philippians 4:11
Are you content in any situation? Or do you waver under stressful situations? When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior he always becomes our Peace and Strength. We should not worry about whether we are rich or poor, healthy or weak, for we are already blessed already from the Gift of life God has giving us
We need to learn in all situations to stay in Peace and Let God fight for us.
(Exodus 14:14) “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
When we are under attack by our Enemies it’s our human nature to strike back. But we need to learn to stay in Peace and Let God fight our battles.
The world might view this as weakness but we know our strength comes from The Lord and not ourselves. He has the power to spin planets and galaxies into existence; he can overcome any obstacle that you may be facing.
(Matthew 5:39) “But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.”
Jesus taught us to “turn the other cheek” why? Because the battle is not ours, that battle is for God. We need to learn to trust in God thru all situations. Stay in Peace and Stay Content.
Satan likes to tempt us with greed, envy, lust, ect. But we must learn we are already blessed. It’s his trap to get you off course. Don’t repay evil with evil, resist the devil and he will flee from you.
(1 Timothy 6:6) “But godliness with contentment is great gain.”
When we learn to be content with what we have we gain Peace and Strength that can’t be bought. People who always need more possessions and wealth will never gain true Peace, because it will never be enough.
Many battles and struggles are due to people not being content with what God has already giving them. Whatever the world is going to throw at you, you will be able to overcome it with the Peace and Strength of Jesus Christ Amen

Are you Conforming or Transforming?

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2
Are you conforming or transforming? These are the only 2 options in life, you are either following the ways of God or your following the ways of the world.
• The world says Children can be aborted but God says Children are the Heritage of the Lord
• The world says your spouse is a ball and chain but God says A Virtuous Women is the crown of her husband
• The world says you’re weak God says I can do all things thru Christ that gives me strength
• The world says watch your back God says As Iron sharpens Iron so we sharpen one another
When you renew your mind thru Christ you begin to see the world in a whole new light.
(1 John 5:19) “We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.”
Why are the ways of the world so evil? Because the world is under control by Satan. But isn’t the Earth Gods creation, how can Satan control it? Because we allow him to. You see God is our Creator but not a dictator he gives everyone the gift of free will.
So Satan has taken advantage of that free will and convinced people to follow him thru sin. Enticing them that the pleasure of sin are greater than the gift of eternal life.
Satans influence has become so great he has control of the world thru nations, governments, technology, ect. But his control is only enabled by people choosing to follow him.
(1 John 4:4) “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
The Power of Christ within you will give you the strength to overcome this world. Jesus conquered the world when he was raised from the dead, that same power is living inside of you thru the Holy Spirit.
Follow the ways of the world will only lead to your death. Follow Jesus he you will be giving eternal life
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; Ephesians 4:23
But we must renew our minds and not conform to the ways of this world. For we are what we think, when we think evil thoughts as the world you become evil. Keep your mind on the things above in Jesus name Amen

Live with Meaning

For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, 1 Peter 1:24
How long do you have to live? Might sound like a morbid question but its reality Most of us go about our daily lives pretending death doesn’t exist or we have endless amounts of time. That’s why it’s important to use your time wisely. Don’t waste your life chasing after money or possessions because as the scripture says they will all fade away. Make every day count; make time for your family.
(1 John 2:17) “The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”
But there is hope for all of us thru Jesus Christ. He is the only way to eternal life. Everything else in this world will fade away. Satan wants you to waste your time on Earth with worldly pleasures, but your time is valuable. Everything you do you will be held accountable for. How are you spending your days here on Earth? When you pass away what would everyone say about your legacy?
(Proverbs 22:1) “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
What is your legacy? What would your family or children say about you? We all know someone who you can’t think of anything bad to say about them, that’s the person we should strive to be. A good name, when people say your name do they think respectable, loving, caring, giving, ect. This is far more valuable than any money or possessions could buy. How do we achieve this, follow Jesus.
(2 Corinthians 5:22) “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
Jesus was the only human to walk this Earth that had no sin. Even those who don’t believe Jesus is the Messiah can’t bring a valid claim against him. He showed us how to live and though him we can live forever.
Live your life on this Earth with meaning, follow Jesus to eternal life. Don’t waste your time following temporary pleasures of this world. Create your legacy starting today thru Jesus Christ Amen.

We Will Serve The Lord

But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15

We are responsible for leading our families to God. You are called to be Spiritual Leaders for your home. The problems we see in the World today is because we have a lack of households serving The Lord. Moral breakdown in society, without God nobody has accountability for there actions. If we want to change the World we need to start in our homes, is your family serving The Lord?

(Proverbs 22:6) “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

If you don’t teach your children then who will? The World? Children are not born with knowledge, they don’t know right from wrong, most importantly they don’t know God. If we don’t teach our Children about God nobody will. The World has removed God from everywhere including schools. Unless you teach your Children about God and The Bible, they will never know.

(Psalms 127:3) “Children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

We need to understand and appreciate that Children are Gifts from God. Modern day society likes to depict Children as a burden or being a parent as a death sentence. But it’s actually the opposite. We need to be grateful for our Children and cherish them. But if we neglect them they will not flourish also. We need to teach them the Word of God and let them know they are special and loved by there Heavenly Father.

(Genesis 18:19) “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”

God chose Abraham to be the Father of many nations, because he knew he would teach his family about God and they would continue his legacy. When you fail to teach your Children about God and be a Spiritual Leader for your household you basically curse your blood line. Because if you Children don’t know God then there Children won’t know God either and so on. Eventually you have Generations of Godless people which bring moral decay to there nation.

(Ephesians 6:4) “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”

Paul preached about the importance of teaching our Children in a Godly way. When we have knowledge about the Word of God it gives us wisdom we can use to raise our Children. We learn to have the love and mercy of Jesus. But also we understand how much of a blessing our Children are and treat them as blessings.  Children mimic there parents actions, so when we walk with God our children will walk with God also. In Jesus name Amen

Sharper than a Sword

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
There’s a reason why you should study and know the “Word of God” because not only is it full of wisdom and power. But this is a gift from God that is priceless and lead you to eternal life. It’s no surprise why the world is offended by the Word of God because the Word is truth and truth can’t be rebuked.
(2 Peter 1:21) “For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
Non-believers will try to discredit The Bible by the authors who wrote the Bible. But they don’t understand the Bible was written by God thru humans by the Holy Spirit. Once you understand this you begin to see “The Power of the Word of God” as there is no situation or no problem that can’t be solved using The Bible.
(2 Timothy 3:16) “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”
The Word of God is not only a great historical resource but we should use for our daily instruction. There is no problem under the sun that God hasn’t seen. If your feeling lonely, depressed, anxious, confused, ect. The Bible has scriptures and stories to guide you thru your daily life:
• Knowledge- Proverbs 3-5:6
• Rest- Matthew 11:28-30
• Overwhelmed Luke 18:27
• Love John 3:16
• Forgiveness Romans 8:1
• Wisdom 1 Corinthians 1:30
• Strength Philippians 4:13
• Fear 2 Timothy 1:7
• Loneliness Hebrews 13:5

(Isaiah 49:2) “He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.
As the prophet Isaiah said God made his mouth like a Sword. What did he mean? He meant the Holy Spirit came thru him and spoke the powerful “ Words of God” that lead the nation of Israel back to redemption. We have the privilege to already have these Words giving to us in the Bible. Don’t be foolish and squander this gift from God. King Solomon’s only wish to God was to have wisdom, and we have all that wisdom right now. So the question is what are you going to do with this gift? Are you going to use your sword or allow the world to slay you?

The Truth Shall Set You Free

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32

We have all heard the saying “The truth shall set you free” at some point in our life, but did you know it was Jesus who said that? What is the truth and how will it make you free?

(John 14:6) “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Jesus is the truth. And he is the only one who can set you free. By his sacrifice on the cross he has freed us all from the bondage of death and sin. Without Jesus there is no way heaven or eternal life. Very importantly Jesus tells us nobody will see God without accepting Jesus are your Lord and Savior

(John 1:14) “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

How can Jesus be the truth? Simply Jesus is “The Word”, God made in the flesh.  Every word Jesus told us is the truth and will set you free, but of course we need to have faith. Jesus have given you truth and life but nobody can give your faith.

(Romans 8:2)”For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

Jesus Christ has set us from by the law of the Spirit. Man could not escape the punishments of sin caused by Adam . This is why once you know the truth of Jesus Christ you shall be set free. Good deeds and character cannot get you to the father, only thru the blood of Jesus Christ can set you free.

(Galatians 5:1) “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery”

What is the yoke of slavery? Its sin, as Jesus said we are all slaves to sin. But don’t be burdened for Jesus has set us free. Follow Jesus, break the yoke, listen to the truth and it too shall set you free. In Jesus name Amen

Giving Glory to God (Russell Wilson)

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

With all the issues and legal problems the NFL has experienced over the past year, one player has been a bright star, and his name is Russell Wilson.

Russell Wilson who’s a devout Christian since the age of 14 is very public about his faith, he has been brought to the spotlight by leading a Seattle franchise into the next dynasty. But with all his success he never forgets to give the “Glory to God”

This Sundays Playoff game against Green Bay was no exception, with Wilson throwing 3 interceptions in the first half and being down 16-0 at Halftime, Wilson lead the Seahawks to another miraculous comeback including Wilsons rushing touchdown and converted 2 pt conversion.

After the game Wilson was very emotional breaking down and Thanking God. A touching moment for fellow Christians to see

Russell Wilson breaks down in tears during interview after Seahawks win

(Jeremiah 29:11) “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Wilson had become a household name after leading Seattle to there franchises first Super Bowl win and a crushing defeat over the highly favorite Peyton Manning led Denver Broncos.

The beginning of his NFL career wasn’t typical, before the draft Seattle went out and signed highly anticipated QB free agent Matt Flynn to a big contract. So when they drafted Wilson in the 3rd round they really had no expectations for him. Neither did the draft experts expect much from Wilson due to his size. But eventually by the end of the preseason Wilson won the starting job and has never looked back.

(Deuteronomy 31:6) “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Although Football in the grand scheme of life may not be relevant to everyone it is a sport that touches millions of peoples lives. What a great example the Russell Wilson displays Christ to the world. Thru his professionalism and relentless attitude I believe hes a great role model for our youth and for the NFL in general.

What about you? Are you a living example of Christ to your peers or family? As it says no matter what we do in life remember to Give the Glory to God in Jesus name Amen
