1 Corinthians 6- Judgement of the World

Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?  1 Corinthians 6:1-3

It’s funny when you mention the topic of judgment, because the first thing someone will say to you is “Don’t Judge Me”, and then they will go on to quote Matthew 7 out of context to prove their point. Little do these people know “The Saints Shall Judge The World” This would probably be a shocking revelation to most people , even to most Christians.

Not only will you someday judge the world, but Paul says we will also judge the angels. Now of course he’s probably referring to the fallen angels that are currently in prisoned (1 Peter 3:19) How and why would Christ allow us to be the judges? Because if you are Born Again, then you are filled with the Holy Spirit, and you should be led by the Holy Spirit

If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. 1 Corinthians 6:4-6

The Apostle Paul is also teaching us that Christians should resolve their conflicts among themselves and not in the courts for the world. A few years ago Joel Osteen had a couple of street preachers arrested and prosecuted because they rebuked his message during a service. There are many things wrong with this scenario, does the Church building of Lakewood Church belong to Joel Osteen or to God? How can Christians be trespassing on Gods property?

If Joel Osteen is a “leader” in the Church, shouldn’t he have the discernment and capability to resolve this matter outside the court system? Now I’m not in favor of disrupting a Church’s worship service, however Osteen pressing charges against Christians is in clear violation of God’s Word

Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. 1 Corinthians 6:7-8

The Apostle Paul was calling out the Church of Corinth, they had lawsuits against one another, they defrauded one another, this Church was not treating each other as brothers and sisters, they were not conforming to the image of Christ, they were acting just like the world

The bad news for the world is judgment is coming, whether they agree with it or not. The only hope and the only way is Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen!

Matthew 7- Judge Not?

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Matthew 7:1-4

One of the often debates in Christianity is whether we should judge people. Often people will quote the first verse “Judge Not” but they don’t read the rest of the entire Chapter in context. The first thing we need to realize is that judgment is a part of life. Whether you are a Christian or not, everyone is judging each other. You heard the term “first impressions” the moment you walk into a room, people are judging you based on your looks, your words, and your actions.

Secondly when you die your going to be judged whether you like it or not. The Bible tells us “It’s appointed to us to die once and then to judgment” (Hebrews 9:27) So telling people not to judge you based on your lifestyle is not going to prevent God from judging you on your appointed time. We all are going to be accountable for our actions, we shouldn’t have the mentality don’t judge me then I can do whatever I want. However on the flip side, we as Christians don’t need to go around condemning everyone of their sin. As the Bible tells us “We have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God” (Romans 3:23)

Jesus is teaching us righteous judgment, Christ isn’t saying never judge anyone , he’s saying if you’re going to judge someone expect to be judged by the same measure. Jesus said “What do you look at the speck in someone else eye and ignore the beam in your own eye” What Jesus is saying is don’t be a hypocrite. If you are calling out sin in someone else’s life , your life better be free from sin. For example, if a Christian is calling out someone for being a homosexual, yet they themselves watch pornography and have premarital sex, they are being hypocritical because it’s all immoral in Gods eyes

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. Matthew 7:5-6

So what is our best response? The best response is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone. Jesus tells us “The Holy Spirit will convict the world of sin” (John 16:8) If we lead people to Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Word of God should and will convict them of their sin. While many Christians believe it’s their position to judge people on their sins, I believe they mostly end up being made hypocrites because they are typically in sin themselves. Sharing the gospel is our best approach to be leading people to Christ

Jesus said “Don’t give which is holy to the dogs, neither cast your pearls to the swine” Dogs and Pigs in the first century are considered unclean or impure. What I believe Jesus is saying , there are going to be many people who reject the gospel of Christ or have been depraved in sin. Meaning they are never going to turn from their sin, the best option is to dust off your feet and move on.

Ultimately Judgment belongs to God, and one day everyone is going to stand face to face with The Lord and give an account of their life and actions. Make sure you are Born Again in Christ unless you will not see the Kingdom of Heaven , (John 3:3) Amen

Luke 6- Don’t Judge Me?

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:37-38

Often you will hear Christians say “Don’t judge me!” or you have no right to judge people? So is this correct theology? Well sort of, first issue is people often stop with verse 37 and don’t read the rest of the paragraph to get the full context of Jesus teaching. First thing to say we don’t judge anyone would be hypocritical. Its human nature to judge people, as soon as someone walks in the room , you are already making judgements, which we get the concept of “first impressions”

Now am I saying we should go around condemning people of their sin, no of course not. Most people are not even Christian or believe in God, so condemning people by the law of God wouldnt be very logical if they don’t first believe in God. Secondly , if you are a Christian, think about how you were before you were saved. You probably were a sinner like me, who didn’t really understand or know right from wrong until you found Jesus.

Notice Jesus says “For the same measure you judge, you will be judged also” Have some compassion and mercy on the unsaved, they might not even realize that they are sinning to begin with, lead them to Jesus and let the Holy Spirit convict them of their sin!

And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch? The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye. Luke 6:39-42

Now Jesus’ second part of this teaching is “Don’t be a hypocrite” Don’t tell someone to follow Jesus if your living in sin yourself. Don’t point out the speck (sin) in someones eye when you have a log (greater sin) in your own eye. Practice what you preach! How can the blind (sinner) lead the blind (sinner). So before you are going to judge someone, stop and reflect upon yourself, are you really able to make this judgement?

The reality is judgement is a part of life, you can tell people not to judge you, however in the end God is going to judge you regardless. Are you ready to stand before God with the wages of your life? The only way to be ready is to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ and baptised by the Holy Spirit! Get right with God, come to Jesus and be able to stand in judgement Amen!

Don’t Judge? Part 2

Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? If the world is judged by you, are you not competent to constitute the smallest law courts? 1 Corinthians 6:2

Heres a thought, do you know during judgement day you will be also judging the world? For all those “Christians” who will say “We don’t Judge” well then your not fulfilling your role as a Saint. Now the Catholic will say, “This is only for Saints” if you are a Christian you are a Saint.

The original Greek word for Saint is “Hagioi” which just means “Set Apart” When you’re a Born Again believer in Christ, you have been Set Apart by the blood of Christ and the baptism of the Holy Spirit

Now does this mean we should go around and judge everyone? No, Paul is making reference to after the resurrection. When the final judgement is here, the Great White Throne, we will be part of the judgement of the wicked.

Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more matters of this life? 1 Corinthians 6:3

Here is another mind blowing revelation, we will also judge Angels. I know we often think of Angels as Holy Creatures but there is also a lot of fallen angels. Apostle Peter and Judge talk about fallen angels that are currently being held in the abyss waiting for judgement (2 Peter 2:4, Jude 1:6)

Now if you plan on being one of those judges you need to be worthy of judging. Meaning nobody wants or respects a corrupted judge. Keep yourself free from immorality and sin, wash yourself in the blood of Christ, allow the Holy Spirit to sanctify you Amen!

Don’t Judge?

For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? But those who are outside, God judges. REMOVE THE WICKED MAN FROM AMONG YOURSELVES. 1 Corinthians 5:12-13

“Don’t judge Me”!  This is a common phrase heard by many “Christians” on a daily basis. But is this true? Are we not to judge other people? Well Yes and No, as Paul is trying to explain to the Church of Corinth, Christians are supposed to judge other Christians, while God judges the unsaved

One of the functions of the Church is accountability. When you see a brother or sister getting off track or if they see you, we should say something. We should not be against being rebuked by our brothers and sisters, the Bible tells us we are to rebuke or correct our brothers and sisters who continually sin (Galatians 6, Matthew 18, Titus 3, 1 Timothy 5, James 5, 2 Timothy 4, 2 Thessalonians 3, )

Now this doesn’t mean we should be a legalist and follow everyone around and call out everything they do wrong. Because we all do things wrong probably on a daily basis, however if a brother or sister is going down a sinful road, we should address and not ignore it. Of course as a brother or sister we should do this with love and gentleness. If they don’t repent then Paul instructs us to have them removed from the Church so they don’t influence others

“Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. “Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? “Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. Matthew 7:1-5

Probably the most misused verse in the Bible is Matthew 7:1 because people cherry pick the scripture and don’t use it in context. You can’t understand Matthew 7:1 without reading the entire paragraph and in context.

Is Jesus saying we should never Judge anyone, No, he’s saying if your going to judge do it righteously. Meaning if your full of sin yourself you shouldn’t be judging other peoples sin. However if you remove the sin from your life (log in your eye) then you can more clearly judge other peoples sin (speck in the eye)

For example if your looking at pornography you cant be calling out someone for being a homosexual. Immorality is immorality, you cant be a hypocrite and judge peoples sin.  The purpose of these teachings are not to go around and condemn people but for the body of Christ to keep each other on the narrow path of eternal life in Jesus Name Amen!

Don’t Judge

Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Matthew 7:1-2

Judgement is a hot topic that is often debated, first notice what Jesus says here that “for the same way you judge others, you will also be judged”.  Condemning people for there sins will  probably condemn you. Remember we are all sinners and all a work in progress, its our job to lead people to Christ not to become a road block

Jesus has been granted authority as Judge of the World (Matthew 25:31) its not our job or authority to judge people. Overstepping this authority shows your lack of discipline and respect for Jesus. Now I know its human nature to judge people but we need to be quick to listen and slow to speak.

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye Matthew 7:3-5

If we’re going to be instructing people to live like Christ, we need to make sure our lifestyle reflects Christ also. Being a Christian you are held under the microscope by society because any faults or failures are quickly pointed out and your called a hypocrite.

While this may seem unfair, this is part of being a disciple of Christ, we need to hold ourselves to a higher standard. Many people are drawn by your actions and not your words. It’s important we focus on the plank in our eyes and not the sawdust in others eyes. Meaning worry about your own sins and shortcomings and not others.

Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. Matthew 7:6

Don’t confide in people who don’t truly love you or they will use your faults against you. We naturally want to open up to people and share our lives but as it says in Proverbs 4:23 “Above all else guard your heart for everything flows from it”

Remember Jesus chose 12 disciples to confide in and share his gospel with them. Judas betrayed that trust and lead to his death. Be careful who you are confiding in, and most important leave judgement up to Jesus and remove the plank from your own eye in Jesus Name Amen

Ancient of Days

I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days(God) did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. Daniel 7:9

The term “Ancient of Days” was used by Daniel to describe God. Why because God is everlasting. The vison he sees is clearly God sitting on the throne as described in Revelations 1:14-15

However I suggest you clearly read Daniel 7:9 and Revelations 1:14 and notice there descriptions are identical further proving the Trinity between God the Father and Son Jesus Christ

A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. Daniel 7:10

Another seen that is clearly describe in Revelations 5:11, as thousands of Angels surround God on his throne. And the book being opened clearly is the Book of Life (Revelations 20:15)

Daniels vision is clearly of judgement day when we will all stand before our Lord Jesus and account for our lives.

I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast (Satan) was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. Daniel 7:11

The beast is Satan, and this event is when Jesus destroys Satan and cast him into Hell. This event is also described in Revelations 19:20

As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. Daniel 7:12

The Kingdom of Satan will be destroyed and all power that Satan and his followers have right now will be gone.

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man(Jesus) came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days (God), and they brought him near before him. Daniel 7:13

The same even as clearly described in Matthew 24:30, as Jesus is The Son of Man, he is the Messiah and giving all authority by God his Father.

And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Daniel 7:14

Jesus is King of King and Lord of Lords (Revelations 19:16) he will rule all nations, governments will rest on his shoulders (Isaiah 9:6) He will rule with a rod of iron (Revelations 2:27) and Gods kingdom will rule forever(Hebrews 1:8) in Jesus Name Amen

Do Not Judge

Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.  One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. Romans 14:1-3

One of the main problems with religion is we forget why Jesus came to this world. We have denomination arguing with denomination over who has superior knowledge of the Bible.  Everyone has a different journey or path to God, treat everyone with acceptance and kindness.

Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.  Romans 14:4

Judgement is not ours, we don’t have the authority to judge anyone. Furthermore anyone who does judge shall be subject to judgement themselves. Lead people to Christ, let him do the judging.

One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. Romans 14:5-6

Jesus healed people on the Sabbath day, therefor the Jews believed he committed blasphemy. But as Jesus said the Sabbath day was made for us. We may all interpret scriptures differently, but God interprets your heart.

For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:7-8

When we accept Christ, we give our life to him. Everything we do should be for the Glory of God. None of our motives should be for our own selfishness or personal agendas.

For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. Romans 14:9-10

Thanks to Jesus he has giving us the gift of eternal life and all our hope is thru him. We will all stand before him one day face to face in judgement. Don’t judge others is not your right, let Jesus be the judge.

It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.'” So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. Romans 14:11-12

Will you bow before Jesus, The King of Kings? Will you  confess Jesus is Lord and Savior? Don’t reject Gods gift of redemption today in Jesus Name Amen

Persecution of Christians

He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Matthew 10:39

Satan tries to terrorize God’s Children thru fear and torment, but no matter what he throws our way, even death, we know were already victorious thru Jesus Christ at the Cross.

When Jesus said “It is Finished” Satan was defeated, he knows his time is limited and will try to destroy as many souls as possible.

(Matthew 10:28) “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Although Satan can kill our human bodies, he will never have our souls. For our souls belong to Jesus. Satan fears God, for Yahweh has the power to send evil and it’s followers to the pit of hell for all eternity.

(2 Thessalonians 1:6) “God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you

Justice will be served, every drop of blood, every tear that was shed will be paid back. No crimes will go unpunished. We need to be faithful and let God fight for us. We have the final victory!

Satan and his followers will be cast into hell for all eternity, where they will suffer for there evil they inflicted on the world and Gods Children. Justice will be served.

(Revelation 20:11) “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.”

Judgment day is coming, there will be no escape for Evil. All there terrorism, weapons, fear, will not save them now. They will be forever tormented in hell for their evil acts committed on this world.

Christians will rejoice for Gods Kingdom will be reestablished and innocence and peace will forever be restored in Jesus name Amen

Drop Your Stones

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. John 8:7

The prostitute caught in the act was going to be executed for her sins. To all the men this was justified by the commandments of God. So here comes Jesus, God in the flesh, surely he will lay down his wrath upon this sinner.

But instead Jesus asked us to judge ourselves, who among us is without sin? Who among us is worthy to be the judge of righteousness? None of us, for we all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.

(John 5:22) “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:”

Jesus, the Son of God, is the only one who can judge us. So why do we waste our time judging others? Do you believe you have the authority to judge anyone?

Instead of judging people of there sins and shortfalls we need to show them the love and mercy of Jesus. Judgment is not ours, judgment is for Jesus. If it was up to man they would have stoned the women to death and felt it was justified. But it wouldn’t have been justified becase it was the will of God.

(Matthew 7:1) “”Do not judge, or you too will be judged.”

When Jesus asked who was without sin, everyone dropped there stone. Why? Because were all guilty, were all not worthy of the book of life. But Jesus thru his blood on the cross made it possible for us to be redeemed of those sins.

With that said judgment is not ours, you want to continue judging people you will bring more judgment upon yourself.  We need to show people the love and mercy of Christ and leave the judgment to him.

(John 8:11) “She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”

After Jesus showed his mercy, he instructed her to sin no more. Mercy isn’t giving someone a free pass on a life of sin. It’s about changing your life from sin. When you feel and experience the love of Jesus you will change your life

If you continue to judege others, which is not your authority, they may never feel the love and mercy of Christ. Drop your stones, let judgment up to Jesus, and show people the love of Christ in Jesus name Amen
