For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21
Why did Jesus need to be born of a virgin to live among us? For God made Jesus, who was sinless, to become our sin , so we can be made righteous before God. Why would God do this for us? Why would God have so much compassion and mercy on a wicked creation? Because of love, because God loved us before we loved him
But of course, Jesus didn’t need to be born, he chose to be born. He chose to come down here in human form to live among us because he loves us. He chose to become our sin for us to be our eternal Passover Lamb. He chose to reveal himself to the lowly and the meek. Those whose hearts and minds are not hardened have allowed the living Lord to enter into their lives
Most people cant even grasp the concept of God, let alone understand that the Creator of the Heaven and Earth, would intervene in our world. That the Creator would become a creation and take on the penalty of our sin. Can you grasp such a concept? Of course not and then we learn this divine revelation happened in the lowest of place. God would become human in a stable?
This was declared and celebrated by all the angels of Heaven, are you coming to see what God has done? The very thought should bring you to your knees in repentance and praise! Glory to the new born King Amen!
