Press On to the Prize

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14

The journey of faith can be
long and tiring, but we continue to press on because we know the prize is great. Jesus warned us it wasn’t going to be easy as a Christian, persecution and discrimination are common. But your reward will be great in Heaven, blessed are those who don’t see but still believe.

Your mission from God is a higher calling. Everything you do will greatly impact the eternal future. not only your  but everyone who you touch. Your secular job on Earth is only temporary, but your calling from God is eternal and the results will impact eternity

(Matthew 10:14) “And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.”

Jesus warned us you might receive opposition to spreading the Gospel, as he said “Shake the dust of your feet” and press on. There will be some who will receive Christ and some who deny him, don’t let the haters ruin your destiny.

Don’t let your past ruin your future. You are renewed thru the blood of Jesus Christ, keep pressing toward your prize in heaven.

(1 Corinthians 9:24) “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”

What a strong statement, not only should we press toward our prize but let’s strive to master our craft. Some Christians just do enough to fulfill there requirements, but why not strive to be great? Why not be like David and face a giant with just a sling and stone?

But remember the race is long, brace and prepare yourself for the long haul. There will be trails and tests along the way, keep your peace and remember when to just shake the dust off your feet.

(Romans 8:28) “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

God loves you and knows the trails you will endure, he will be with you. Just know that all you do will work for the will of God. Remember your reward is not here on Earth but in Heaven, don’t be discouraged by the events you may see.

You have a high calling from God, to serve our Lord Jesus and spread his gospel. No matter what happens, keep pressing on and you’ll receive your prize one day in Heaven in Jesus Name Amen

Build on the Rock

Unashamed of Jesus's avatarUnashamed of Jesus

Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25“And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.… Matthew 7:24,25
What foundation have you built your house on? When the storms of life come in will you stay in faith or do you fall like a dead tree?
It’s easy to be happy, hopeful, and enthusiastic when times are good, but the real test of our character is how we act when times are bad.
Many people forget or never take the time to thank God for anything they are grateful for but as soon as things go wrong they start blaming him. Why do we only remember God during the bad times?

Gods Plan for You

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Somedays you wonder, what is my purpose, what is my destiny? But God has a plan for you. He has not forgotten or ignored you. Timing is everything, we need to learn to follow Gods timeline and not our own.

When we make our own plans for our life, we don’t fulfill our destiny. What we might think is our best, might only be a fraction of what God has in store for you.

(Isaiah 55:8) “”For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.”

Many times we believe what God is thinking or we know what’s best for us. But we can’t imagine or comprehend what God’s plans are for us.

Take Moses for example, spent the past 40 years in the wilderness now God called him to go back to Egypt and lead the Israelites. Do you think Moses ever thought he would go back to Egypt? Or become a great prophet for a nation he used to enslave?

(Proverbs 3:5) “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;”

Our biggest problem is we try to use our own logic and not trust God. Man can’t comprehend how God created the Heavens and The Earth so man created up the Big Bang Theory. Man can’t comprehend that God is the creator of life so they created Evolution. Why do we do this?

Because it make us feel like we’re still in control when we make up our own logic. The reality is were not in control, God is in complete control, lean not on your own understanding.

(Romans 8:28) “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Key words here at “According to his Purpose” Sometimes we believe were doing Gods will, but were only pleasing ourselves. How can we know what his will is then? God will open the doors to where you’re supposed to go. If you have to break down a door to reach your destiny, it probably wasn’t meant to be.

God never said it was going to be an easy path either, you must remember you will be tested, you will be tempted to quit, but remember “all things work together for good” just follow God and his plans for you. In Jesus name Amen

Love Like Jesus

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Ephesians 5:25

Love your wife as Jesus loved us, how many marriages would have been saved following this principle? How many broken families could have been restored? To love like Jesus, what does it really mean?

Although it would be impossible to love as much as Jesus , we should strive to follow him and love the way Jesus showed us

(John 15:13) “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Jesus laid down his life for us all, payed the ultimate sacrifice. He even did it knowing that many people would reject and mock him. Is there any greater love than what was demonstrated on the cross?

Can’t you atleast love your spouse and family like this? Are you to full of hatred and pride that you can’t give everything you got to ones that love you the most? If you can’t love the partner God has created for you, can you truly expect to love others?

(John 13:34) “”A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Love one another as Jesus loved us, we are commanded to love. Should it be this hard? Do we really have to force ourselves to love each other? If it’s that difficult for you, then you have a troubled soul.

Love should come easy for us, your soul should be filled with love and slow to anger. Remember Love is Patient, Love is Kind, Love does not envy or boastful. These are not just words, this is a lifestyle. This is the life of a true Christian.  If your heart is constantly in conflict, then you need to ask Jesus to heal you.

(Proverbs 10:12) “Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.”

Hate is the root for all conflict, when you have hate in your heart it’s just a time bomb waiting to go off. Hatred is always looking for its next victim or problem.  You need to cleanse your heart of hate. The only way to do this is thru Jesus Christ. He gives us the inner peace and strength that Satan couldn’t defeat.

Let’s strive to love each other, especially our spouses and children, just as Jesus loved us. Sometimes your going to get hurt, but love always conquers evil in Jesus name Amen

Got Faith?

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:9?

Your faith determines everything. For it’s easy for people to say they believe but to really demonstrate that faith is a true test. For we walk by faith and not by sight. Therefore if you have no faith, you don’t walk with The Lord.

The salvation of your soul is based on your faith. God is a just God, therefore would it be fair for everyone receive the same reward. No your reward in heaven is based on your faith level and relationship you have with Jesus.

(Matthew 14:31) “And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”

Peter believed, and when he put his faith in Jesus he walked on the water. But the Peter started to doubt and immediately began to sink. Isn’t this similar to our own lives. We believe and have faith, take a bold step, only to begin to doubt ourselves and begin to sink.

But as he did in this story, Jesus is always there to save us. But you can tell the disappointment in Jesus statement, why do you doubt? Why do we doubt? What more does Jesus have to do for us till we put full faith into him?

(Matthew 17:20) “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

It only takes faith the size of the mustard seed to move a mountain, yet we still don’t have enough. Why? What do you have faith in? If you can’t believe in our Lord who saved our life, what do you believe in?

You have the power of the almighty God behind you, the God who created the Heavens and the Earth, who knows every star by name, who knows the number of hairs on your head. Why do you doubt him?

(James 2:17) “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Eventually one day God is going to call you to take a leap of faith. To do something bold to show his glory. This will show your true faith, will you answer his call or ignore him?

Your task from God might seem illogical or maybe even insane to the world, but trust in The Lord and your faith will reward you. So ask yourself do you really have faith? Faith to walk on water or move a mountain or is your faith dead?

No Sign No Excuse

And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation. Mark 8:12

If only God showed me a sign I would believe. If only , If only, If only  Sound familiar? Generations continue to question God and demand a sign. What sign do you really want to see? Perhaps God showed you signs but you were too busy and distracted to pay attention.

(Romans 1:20)” For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

You want a sign but the creation of the almighty God is clearly present, the planets, the stars, and most importantly yourself. You are without excuse, you can deny the living God all you want but you can’t deny the awesomeness of his creation.

(Colossians 1:15) “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:”

Jesus is the image of the invisible God, Word became Flesh and dwelt among us. Who will deny the existence of Jesus Christ?  Only fools would say that God doesn’t exist, the signs were giving to us throughout history.

(Genesis 1:27) “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

We are created in the image of God, if you want to believe in God look in the mirror. To deny the existence of your heavenly Father is to deny yourself.  How insulting is it that we deny our maker when he breathed life into our bodies. You rather believe we were formed from nothiness

(Hebrews 11:3)” Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

When you understand the Word of God and understand our almighty God, then you will understand your existence. Your demands for a sign are unjustified. You should be grateful you have been giving the gift of life. If you don’t believe, stop waiting for a sign. For you are all without excuse, for God lives in us all in Jesus Name Amen

Drop Your Stones

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. John 8:7

The prostitute caught in the act was going to be executed for her sins. To all the men this was justified by the commandments of God. So here comes Jesus, God in the flesh, surely he will lay down his wrath upon this sinner.

But instead Jesus asked us to judge ourselves, who among us is without sin? Who among us is worthy to be the judge of righteousness? None of us, for we all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.

(John 5:22) “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:”

Jesus, the Son of God, is the only one who can judge us. So why do we waste our time judging others? Do you believe you have the authority to judge anyone?

Instead of judging people of there sins and shortfalls we need to show them the love and mercy of Jesus. Judgment is not ours, judgment is for Jesus. If it was up to man they would have stoned the women to death and felt it was justified. But it wouldn’t have been justified becase it was the will of God.

(Matthew 7:1) “”Do not judge, or you too will be judged.”

When Jesus asked who was without sin, everyone dropped there stone. Why? Because were all guilty, were all not worthy of the book of life. But Jesus thru his blood on the cross made it possible for us to be redeemed of those sins.

With that said judgment is not ours, you want to continue judging people you will bring more judgment upon yourself.  We need to show people the love and mercy of Christ and leave the judgment to him.

(John 8:11) “She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”

After Jesus showed his mercy, he instructed her to sin no more. Mercy isn’t giving someone a free pass on a life of sin. It’s about changing your life from sin. When you feel and experience the love of Jesus you will change your life

If you continue to judege others, which is not your authority, they may never feel the love and mercy of Christ. Drop your stones, let judgment up to Jesus, and show people the love of Christ in Jesus name Amen
