Through The Roof

And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. Mark 2:3-4

Who do you think Jesus is? These men had faith and believed Jesus was the Messiah and not only carried the physically disabled man many miles but took him up on the roof and lowered him down to Jesus.

There were so many people who came to see Jesus that you couldn’t even get close to the door. But these men were determined to see him because they knew he could heal there friend. What lengths do you go to get close to Jesus?

When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? Mark 2:5-7

Even though Jesus performed many miracles in the name of God, many doubted and questioned his authority. Still many today doubt or deny Jesus is the Messiah. But Jesus knew there hearts just like he knows ours. Anyone who acknowledges Jesus before others he will acknowledge to God

Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) Mark 2:9-10

So Jesus not only forgave the mans sins but healed him instantly to demonstrate he is the Son of God and had the authority to do so. Jesus is the only way to God and the only way to be redeemed. Trust in Jesus just as this man did and you’ll be saved also.

I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. Mark 2:11-12

An instant of Gods mercy and favor can cure a lifetime of struggle. This man never walked his entire life, but instantly Jesus healed him because of his faith.

Do you believe and trust in Jesus to be your Lord and Savior? Are you willing to go the extra mile to seek him? Most importantly do you have faith he will forgive your sins and heal you? Take the journey to Christ just like these men did in Jesus Name Amen

Through his Poverty You become Rich

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9

Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, he has all the power of God. But yet he lowered himself to a poor man, beaten and hated by the world, so he can save the world and give us eternal life.

Many people when they see the words rich and poor, they automatically think of wealth. But what God is telling us is on a higher level, richness is eternal life, poverty is death.  How will money favor you if your dead?

Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have. For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. 2 Corinthians 8: 11-12

Charity begins with the heart, its not about how much you give but your wiliness to give what you have. I think about the story of the Poor Widows Offering in Mark 12:41-43

Many rich people were putting large amounts in the treasury but Jesus observed a poor widow who only gave 2 coins, but that was all she had. Her gift was greater because she gave from the heart

But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: 2 Corinthians 8:14

But as a family, as a Church, as neighbors we should help each other out whenever someone is in need. Then when we are in need someone should help us out also. God intended there to be economic equality not Rich and Poor.

As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack. 2 Corinthians 8:15

Paul quoted a command God gave to the Israelites in Exodus 16, when God was supplying them manna in the desert some received more than others. But when they combined all the mana together there was more than enough for everyone.

This is a valuable lesson as God has supplied some of us with more than others to see what we will do with our abundance. The same is with our Lord Jesus who has everything but gave us everything so we can live also.  Remember there is richness thru poverty when you trust God in Jesus name Amen

Consequences of Sin

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

Many people today are taking sin lightly, they don’t understand not only does sin equal death. But sin also has consequences on you and your family. Yes Jesus died for our sins and he’s willing to forgive them, but you also must strive to live a holy life just like Christ.

Why does God hate sin so much? Because sin equals death. Every sin there is leads to your destruction. Sin comes from Satan and is an act of rebellion against God and his Kingdom.

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Genesis 3:19

Adam and Eve literally had the perfect life, they were immortal, living in paradise, and everything was provided for them. But they couldn’t resist the temptations of Satan. Even though God warned them it would equal death, they still went ahead with it.

We all have free will, so they had a right to choose whatever they wanted. But there are consequences for there sin and it equaled death. They once had mortality now they will return to dust just as God commanded.

Since we all are descendants of Adam and Eve, we all have inherited this curse of death. You see Adam and Eve’s sin not only effected there life but impacted humanity. This is why we all need Jesus to save us, he is the only way.

Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac. Genesis 21:10

Another example is Abraham, he got tired of waiting for God to deliver him his promised son, so he had a child with his servant. This sin not only brought great distress among there family, but he also disobeyed God.

God still delivered his promise and eventually Sarah and Abraham had the promised son of Isaac. But this only caused greater distress among the household and eventually Ishmael and his mother had to leave.

Many believe the prophet Muhammad is a descendant of Ishmael which obviously originated the Islam religion. If this is true, Abraham’s sin of having adultery consequently has impacted the entire world especially his nation of Israel and all Jews and Christians.

There is a reason God forbids sin, and there is a reason why God takes it so seriously. All your sins have consequences that will impact not only you but your family. Jesus is the only one who has ever walked the Earth and never sinned, follow Jesus and break the curse of sin Amen

Woe To The Shepherds

Woe  to the shepherds of Israel that  feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks? Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock.Ezekiel 34:3

The leaders of the churches have failed, instead of feeding the poor they inherit great salaries, live in expensive houses, and drive fancy cars. Yet this is exactly the opposite of what God has taught us.

When the leader of the church is richer than the followers, there is obviously a problem here with the Church.
The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them. Ezekiel 34:

Jesus spent most of his ministry healing the sick and showing Gods power, but how many Churches are doing this today? How many Churches are actually going out and looking for the lost?

Recent data has showed less people are going to Church and associating with a denomination. Could it be people are seeing the greed of the Churches and not seeing the love of Christ?
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them. Ezekiel 34:10

Make no mistake about it God sees all and these corrupted leaders will be punished. It’s a great responsibility to take an oath with God and lead the body of a Church. Those who abuse there power will  feel the wrath of God.

I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.Ezekiel 34:16

But Jesus is the Head and Cornerstone of the Church, he is the Good Shepherd and he will seek and find you. All who answer his calling shall be saved and shall receive mercy. Take peace in knowing this in Jesus Name Amen

Happy Labor Day

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

As we celebrate the long Labor Day weekend we have a peaceful feeling knowing we get an extra day of rest, an extra day to spend with our families, and an extra day away from our stressful jobs.

This is what our Lord Jesus offers us every day, he is the Prince of Peace because he gives us the peace and strength that nothing else in the world can provide.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:29

A yoke was the crossbar placed over the animals heads to plow the fields, many times we feel like this with our life. Maybe we feel overburdened or over whelmed by life.

But Jesus tells us to Cast all our Cares on him, because he loves us. He is our redeemer who loved us even when we never knew him.

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:30

Jesus restores and heals, he can take our burdens from us and renew us.He resurrected the dead, made the blind see, made the lame walk, he can restore your burdens also.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me Philippians 4:11.

Just as Paul said I learned to be content in every situation because he relied on Jesus to give him strength, we should do the same. When life gets hard, your faith needs to work harder.

Let Jesus take your burden, let Jesus take that yoke around your neck, and say I can do all things in Christ who gives you strength Amen

Seek and Ye Shall Find

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.Matthew 7:7-8

Do you say I don’t understand God?   Jesus tells us to seek him and we find him.  So are you aggressively  seeking God? If you knock he will open the door.

Seeking God is comparable to our everyday lives. Say you want to be a doctor, do you just become a medical expert instantly? No you seek the medical knowledge in books and thru others. The same is with God, if you want to really know him, seek the knowledge in The Bible already giving to us.

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Matthew 7:9-11

God is our heavenly father and just as we parents want to give the best to our children, he wants to give the best to you. However just like with rebellious children we have free will. If you want to go your own way and not rely on God, he’s not going to stop you. But when you come back like the Prodigal Son he will receive you with open arms.

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12

Do unto others as we would want done unto us, we probably heard this as kids but this is actually a commandment from God. You want people to be nice to you be nice to them, I know people are not always receptive but God knows your heart. Just as If you seek God he will seek you.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

Notice God says is you search for me with all your heart, are you seeking God with all your heart or just giving it little or no effort? Find God and you will find Peace, Purpose, Strength and most importantly eternal life in Jesus Name Amen

The Watchman

Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Ezekiel 33:3

The “Watchmen” in Biblical days was a very important role, they often stood on a Hightower and watched over the city for trouble, such as enemy attacks. This is very symbolic how God wants his prophets to warn people of the dangers and judgements coming to them

With the rebellion in America its no surprise that we can expect judgement coming upon America. Be alert and stay on guard for the return of  our King and Savior Jesus

Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. Ezekiel 33:4

Many will mock and laugh at  the“Watchman” but God made it clear, if you dismiss his warning you are at fault. It’s important to take Gods Word seriously, he is your creator, remember that? He gave us life and he can also take away our life.

But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. Ezekiel 33:6

The Watchman has a big responsibility, to warn and prepare people for the coming of Gods judgment. If he fails to warn them, all who lost there lives will be on him. Don’t take Gods calling or his warning lightly, there are serious consequences to anyone who ignores Gods Word

So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. Ezekiel 33:7

God uses Watchmen to speak for him, are you listening? Or are you ignoring the signs of warnings of the end times?

Just as in the days of Noah, everyone was partying and mocking him until the very day the rain started (Matthew 24:36-37) Don’t be caught off guard be ready at all times for the return of Jesus. If he comes and you are not ready, keep your lamps lit, listen to the “Watchmen” in Jesus Name Amen

The Lord Your Healer

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. Acts 3:60.

You see a homeless guy on the street, maybe you ignore him, and maybe you throw him a few dollars. But what if you did what Peter did and gave him the gift of Jesus Christ?

Money isn’t going to save this man’s life, its not going to save your life. But Jesus has the power not only to heal but to renew us.

But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. Matthew 9:22

A woman who was sick for 12 years knew that if she could only be touched by Jesus she would be healed. Jesus recognized her faith and healed her instantly.

Could it be your lack of faith is preventing a miracle for you today? After Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven, he left us with the gift of the Holy Spirit.

To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit 1 Corinthians 12:9

There are seven gifts giving to us thru the Holy Spirit, healing is one of them. So even though Jesus is in Heaven right now, we can still be healed here on Earth in his name.

You are not powerless and defeated God is still with us thru the Holy Spirit. But your faith determines your miracles. Is there anything not possible for God?

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

By the stripes of Jesus Christ we are healed, so why are you still acting defeated? Instead of complaining to God about your problems, you need to start professing the victory that Jesus has already won for you, activate your faith in Jesus Name Amen

Dear Heavenly Father,

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ by his stripes we are healed, by our faith we are healed

The same power that rose Jesus from the dead is living inside of us thru your Holy Spirit

Greater is he living inside of me then he that is living in the world

Restore us Lord Heal us Lord Let your will be done

In Jesus Name Amen

God’s Will

And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Matthew 26:39

The night before Jesus was crucified, he asked God to change his mind three times because he knew the suffering he was going to endure. But Jesus willingly laid down his life for us all because it was Gods will for his life.

How many of us are following Gods will for our life? Or are you following your own will? Sometimes Gods plan doesn’t always seem like it’s the best plan, but just like Jesus, his plan is for the greater good of his Kingdom and not our Kingdom.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41

Some might say why is Jesus acting like this? Isn’t he the Messiah? The Son of God? Yes he is but he was human at this point, he felt everything just as we feel.

It’s a great statement when he says “the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak”, doesn’t that sum us up mostly? We all want to serve God but we get sidetracked whether it be temptation or pain or depression..there are many things that keep us from Gods will

He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. Matthew 26:42

Again Jesus asked God again to change his mind, but as he said if its Gods will then let it be done. Jesus knew Gods plan was greater than his plan and he stayed obedient and fulfilled Gods will

We also need to trust Gods plan for us and have the same attitude, “if its Gods will then let it be done”, because we know God knows best for us.

And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. Matthew 26:44

Jesus prayed a third time for God to change his mind, but he knew Gods will for him and faithfully accepted his assignment.

Notice how Jesus casted his cares to God thru prayer, we should do the same. Build a relationship with your Heavenly Father, let him know your thoughts and feelings. He knows every hair on your head and every tear that you cry.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10

Just as Jesus prayed in the Lords prayer, its important to remember its Gods will and not our will. Truest your Heavenly Father for his plans are greater than our plans in Jesus Name Amen

The Young Rich Man

And, behold, one came and said to him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? Matthew 19:16

The story about a young rich man and his conversation with Jesus, this man was pretty sure he was going to Heaven. But Jesus told him exactly what he needed to do to truly become his disciple.

And he said to him, Why call you me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments. He said to him, Which? Jesus said, You shall do no murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and your mother: and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 19:17-19

First Jesus went thru the Ten Commandments handed down by God, notice as Jesus said he didn’t come to abolish the law but fulfill it. Many Christians falsely believe the new covenant wiped out all the laws by God from the old covenant. Here Jesus clearly shows you he still expects us to follow those same laws.

The young man said to him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said to him, If you will be perfect, go and sell that you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. Matthew 19:20-21

The young rich man was pretty holy and has been following Gods commandments since he was a kid, so he was pretty sure he was good to get himself into Heaven. But Jesus read his heart and told him how to be truly saved.

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Matthew 19:22

Why did the young rich man become so upset when Jesus told him to give it all away? It should be simple right? But this is exactly what Jesus is trying to teach us, you can’t serve two masters.

We become obsessed with material things that are just temporary, to the point where if Jesus said you could have eternal life if you just give up these things, we still can’t even walk away from them, that is idolatry.

Is there one thing that is keeping your heart from truly following Jesus? Are you consumed by the material things of this world, don’t let the temporary pleasures of this world prevent you from your eternal destiny in Jesus Name Amen
