Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 1 Corinthians 1:25
Man always tries to outsmart God, we try cloning animals and humans, genetically modify our food, we even try to control the weather. However we need to acknowledge that God is the almighty Creator, there is only one true God and it’s him. He speaks planets into existence, he breathed life into our bodies, we can’t begin to comprehend his awesome power.
Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 1 Corinthians 1:26
The world loves to attack Christians, they love to call us naïve to believe in Creation, they love to call us weak for loving our enemies like Christ, but I would rather be wrong in my lifetime than be wrong for all eternity.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 1 Corinthians 1:27
Many believe they can live without God, but we are all sinners and fall short of the Glory of God. Think about it the world chases after, even kills for, green paper called money. You talk about shaming the wise, instead the world should be chasing Jesus for there soul. Money won’t save your soul only Jesus Christ will.
God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things–and the things that are not–to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. 1 Corinthians 1:28-29
Jesus is the King of Kings yet when he walked this Earth nobody even noticed him. He was so common when they came to arrest him in the Garden of Gethsemane the guards had to ask who he was twice, even though he was standing right in front of them.
God is not impressed with your ego, God is not impressed with your bank account, God is not impressed with your possessions. God looks at your heart, is he impressed with yours?
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God–that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 30-31
What are you boasting about today? Let us boast about our Lord Jesus who took the nails on the cross for your sins. Let us boast about our Heavenly Father , who had enough mercy on us to send his only begotten Son.
It’s time for us to get over ourselves, and its time to boast about Jesus Christ, The Name above all Names, The King of Kings, The Lord of Lords, in Jesus Name Amen
