Show Us God

Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father ‘? John 14:9

Philip says to Jesus “Show us the Father” meaning “Show us God”! Jesus is amazed , Philip has been with him for over 3 years and he still doesn’t get it. Even after all the miracles Jesus performed, and all the references he made to past revelations of God such as , Great I AM, Living Water, Bread of Life, these guys still are not getting it!

Even today , many Christians are still not getting it. Even after all the Revelation we have about Jesus, after all the prophecies Jesus fulfilled, after all the power Jesus has displayed, many just don’t understand his deity.

If you want to see God, Look at Jesus! If you want to know the will of God, Look at Jesus!

 

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. Colossians 1:15

Paul also describes Jesus as the image of the Invisible God! But what does Paul mean by “Firstborn of all Creation”? Is Paul saying Jesus was created by God? No, Paul is referring to the Resurrection of Christ! Because Jesus has defeated death and was resurrected on the 3rd day, he is the first fruits, the first born of all Creation!

Because of Christ we can live eternally with God, because of Christ we can now see God and have a relationship with Him Amen!

The Way

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6

This scripture is probably the anthem for Christianity. Before Jesus ascends back to Heaven, he promised us that he is preparing a place for us. The disciple Thomas then asked , “Where are you Going?” Jesus made it very clear, he is The Way, and the only Way to God the Father and eternal life

Jesus is The Way, there is no other way to get to God, there is no other way to obtain salvation! Its very simple because he is the atonement for our sins, nobody else could take the penalty for our sins, except for Jesus Christ

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

Jesus is The Truth, Jesus is the Living Word of God. Everything that Christ has spoken and taught us is from God. While lies will mislead you, The Truth Jesus Christ will set you Free!

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Jesus is The Life, its only through him we can obtain eternal life. We have all fallen short, we are all sinners and in need of a savior! Nobody can earn their salvation, only Christ could and did accomplish this at the cross.

All roads don’t lead to God, only one Way leads to God and eternal life, that’s Jesus Christ Amen!

Revelation Chapter 16

Then I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.” Revelation 16:1

The Final Judgement is here, a judgement that will be leading up to the restoration of the Kingdom of God. We’ll notice the similarities between the plagues of Egypt and the Bowls of Judgement in Revelation

Pour out Your wrath upon the nations which do not know You, And upon the kingdoms which do not call upon Your name. Psalm 79:6

So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth; and it became a loathsome and malignant sore on the people who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image. Revelation 16:2

The 1rst Bowl will be painful sores that will cover people, however notice these sores only effect the people who took the “mark of the beast”

We notice the 6th Plague in Egypt was the boils that covered the Egyptians who worshipped Pharaoh instead of God

So they took soot from a kiln, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses threw it toward the sky, and it became boils breaking out with sores on man and beast. Exodus 9:10

The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man; and every living thing in the sea died. Revelation 16:3

The 2nd Bowl will be the sea becoming like blood and everything died within it. We can imagine the stench and devastation of all the world’s oceans turning into blood.

Again, notice the similarity to the 1rst plague of Egypt, the Nile River was turned into blood and everything died within it

So Moses and Aaron did even as the LORD had commanded. And he lifted up the staff and struck the water that was in the Nile, in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, and all the water that was in the Nile was turned to blood. Exodus 7:20

Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of waters; and they became blood. And I heard the angel of the waters saying, “Righteous are You, who are and who were, O Holy One, because You judged these things; for they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. They deserve it.” And I heard the altar saying, “Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.” Revelation 16:4-7

The 3rd Bowl we know see the blood poured on the fresh drinking water of the world. God said this is symbolic for the bloodshed for the saints. So now at this time, all the water in the world has turned to blood and is not drinkable. Also all the sea life has totally perished.

Again we reference the plagues of Egypt and the similarities here to the Bowls of Judgment

‘Thus says the LORD, “By this you shall know that I am the LORD: behold, I will strike the water that is in the Nile with the staff that is in my hand, and it will be turned to blood. Exodus 7:17

The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given to it to scorch men with fire. Men were scorched with fierce heat; and they blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give Him glory. Revelation 16:8-9

The 4th Bowl here we see God controlling the Sun to scorch the wicked people of the Earth. Notice this is different than the plague of Egypt where God darkened the Sun to prove his power. Even with all these plagues , the people still didn’t repent, they even kept blaspheming Gods name

So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days. Exodus 10:22

Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain, and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they did not repent of their deeds. Revelation 16:10-11

The 5th Bowl we now see the darkness of The Sun, as we saw in the plagues of Egypt. However even after all the power God has displayed and punishment he has inflicted, the wicked people still will not repent. They continue to blasphemy Gods name

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even a darkness which may be felt.” Exodus 10:21

The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates; and its water was dried up, so that the way would be prepared for the kings from the east. Revelation 16:12

The 6th Bowl is now the “Euphrates River” drying up, many believe that the “Euphrates River” is symbolic for the support/followers (Mark of the Beast)  of the Anti Christ system of Babylon. The real Euphrates River used to flow under the real city of Babylon

And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. Revelation 16:13-14

Satan’s days are numbered, and here he is sending demons (frogs) out all over the Earth to deceive the remaining people left to support him. God sent a plague of Frogs to Egypt during the Exodus, this was a foreshadow of this event to come. Note Frogs are considered unclean animals , meaning they are evil not pure

 

So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt. Exodus 8:6

“Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.” Revelation 16:15

A powerful message by Christ himself, interesting to note that according to Christ message, there are still Christians remaining on the Earth at this point. Are they the tribulation Saints? Are they the Church?

For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:2

And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon. Revelation 16:16

The Battle of Armageddon is about to take place! Many translations say the demonic spirits (frogs) led all the worldly armies to this battle. Satan believes he’s going to destroy Israel for good, what he doesn’t realize is he’s going to meet the Lion of Judah, Jesus Christ!

Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, “It is done.” And there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. Revelation 16:17-18

The 7th Bowl and the Final Judgement has been unleashed, notice the angel declares “It Is Done”. It says it was the greatest Earthquake to ever happen on the Earth! Think about that, think of all the devastating Earthquakes throughout history. Nobody has seen anything like this before.

The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of His fierce wrath. Revelation 16:19

The Great City here is “Spiritual Babylon” this is probably symbolic for Babylon is being totally destroyed. The False and Evil religious and political system is falling. God knows all the sins of Babylon and is pouring out his wrath upon them

And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And huge hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague was extremely severe. Revelation 16:20-21

The Earthquake was so severe it destroyed mountains and islands just disappeared. Hailstones , 100 pounds each, are being thrown down on the wicked. Again we reference the plagues of Egypt as God sent hail down on Egypt. Also think about Sodom and Gomorra , where God totally destroyed these cities due to their wickedness. The End is Near for Satan and his followers

Moses stretched out his staff toward the sky, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the earth. And the LORD rained hail on the land of Egypt. Exodus 9:23

Then the LORD rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven, Genesis 19:24

 

 

Revelation Chapter 14

Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps. Revelation 14:1-2

We begin this chapter with the 144,000, remember these are the 12 tribes of Israel. The name of God written of their foreheads, meaning they are sealed by the Holy Spirit.

A loud sound begins to play out of Heaven, this will begin another worship service for our Lord Jesus Christ

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation– having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13

And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they have kept themselves chaste. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And no lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless. Revelation 14:3-5

The worship service begins with the 144,000, the 4 creatures, and the elders. Greater detail is now given about the 144,000. Not only are they the 12 Tribes of Israel but they are also “spiritual virgins”. Are they actual virgins, that is debatable, however we know that they are holy and blameless before God.

It reminds me of when Jesus taught about the “Ten Virgins” , was he being literal? No , spiritually we are to be holy for God, as a virgin bride

For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin. 2 Corinthians 11:2

And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, having an eternal gospel to preach to those who live on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people; and he said with a loud voice, “Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.” Revelation 14:6-7

We are now going to see a series of 3 angels who are going to give warnings to the entire world. “Fear God” is the core of their message, how far we have gotten away from this message even in our world today. “Judgement Has Come” time is up for all the wicked who have rejected God and continue to live in their immorality

Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who has made all the nations drink of the wine of the passion of her immorality.” Revelation 14:8

Who or what is Babylon? You will read and hear a lot of different interpretations of it. My belief is Babylon is symbolic for the False Religion and Political system of the Anti Christ. We are even seeing it today, the False Religion of Babylon has invaded the Christian Church. Many Churches have fallen away from the true gospel and doctrine, Beware!

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! Galatians 1:8

Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Revelation 14:9-11

Here we see a warning from the 3rd and final Angel. Again we are seeing reference to the “Mark of The Beast”, I believe its more of a “spiritual” mark than a physical one. But notice anyone selling out to Satan will be thrown into the Lake of Fire! Be careful who or what you are worshipping or devoting your time to. This entire world is controlled by Satan and his empire Babylon.  Worship the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation!

And He said to him, “‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ Matthew 22:37

Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!'” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them.”Revelation 14:12-13

The key word for Christians left behind is “Endure”! Keep the commandments of God , Keep your Faith in Jesus Christ! God never promised are journey as Christians will be easy, but he did promise us ultimate victory in his Kingdom for eternity!

But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved Matthew 24:13

Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like a son of man, having a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand. Then another angel came from the Temple and shouted to the one sitting on the cloud, “Swing the sickle, for the time of harvest has come; the crop on earth is ripe.” Then He who sat on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped. Revelation 14:14-16

The Harvest is Here! The Son of Man (Jesus Christ) is coming with his angels to remove any remaining Christians from the Earth. Jesus is preparing for the Final Judgement of the Earth, the moment has finally arrived, don’t be left behind!

 

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Matthew 9:37

 

And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. Then another angel, the one who has power over fire, came out from the altar; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “Put in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, because her grapes are ripe.” Revelation 14:17-18

The symbolism of a harvest of grapes is key to understand the wrath and devastation of the wicked. Picture grapes being put through a winepress, this is the scene about to happen here on Earth

 

Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great. Joel 3:13

So the angel swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into the great wine press of the wrath of God. And the wine press was trodden outside the city, and blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses’ bridles, for a distance of two hundred miles. Revelation 14:19-20

 

Notice the symbolism of Gods Wrath here, Blood came up to the horses bridle. Meaning the amount of blood from all the corpses was deep enough to come up to the horses mouth (probably 5 feet deep)! And the river of blood flows 200 miles!

The wrath of God is real and coming! Make sure you are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ!

 

“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. Micah 3:2

Revelation Chapter 12

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; and she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth. Revelation 12:1-2

Who is this symbolic woman? I believe it’s the nation of Israel. Notice the 12 stars on her crown are the 12 tribes of Israel…Notice She (Israel) was with Child (Jesus Christ) Lets not forget Jesus is the Lion of Judah…even though he came to save the whole world, he came from Israel

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Then another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems. Revelation 12:3

The Great Red Dragon is Satan himself, and on the Beast was heads and horns representing the nations/kingdoms and rulers/kings who follow Satan and persecute Jews and Christians because of him Notice the word diadems for crowns meaning power/royalty

“After this I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrifying and extremely strong; and it had large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed and trampled down the remainder with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. Daniel 7:7

And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child. Revelation 12:4

The 1/3rd of Stars from Heaven are the Fallen Angels that have followed Satan to wage war on God and Jesus Christ. Notice throughout time Satan has been trying to kill the Messiah but never succeeded.  He killed Abel in the Garden, He tried to kill Moses,  He tried to kill David, He even tried to kill Jesus when he was born through Herod.

However, Satan misunderstood Gods plan, that Jesus would lay down his life to defeat him and death forever!

Then when Herod saw that he had been tricked by the magi, he became very enraged, and sent and slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the magi Matthew 2:16

And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne. Revelation 12:5

This describes Jesus Christ exactly…Jesus is the King of Kings who will rule the world with a rod of iron..who also sits at the right hand of the Father

AND HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON, AS THE VESSELS OF THE POTTER ARE BROKEN TO PIECES, as I also have received authority from My Father; Revelation 2:27

So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. Mark 16:19

Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she would be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days. Revelation 12:6

The woman who fled is the persecution being suffered during the tribulation. 1,260 days is the 3.5 years of the tribulation. The 7 year tribulation is divided into 2 parts based on the “abomination that causes desolation” Daniel prophecies about this and then Jesus confirms his prophecy. The second half of the tribulation will be even worse than the first half

“And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.” Daniel 9:27

Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), Matthew 24:15

And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war, and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. Revelation 12:7-9

In this scene we see Satan and his Fallen Angels been thrown out of Heaven forever. The angels led by Michael the Arc Angel. Because of this many falsely believe Michael and Jesus being the same person. Make no mistake about it, Jesus is the name above all names, the only begotten (meaning unique) Son

“Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. Daniel 12:1

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.” Revelation 12:10-12

Notice God says “Because of the Blood of The Lamb, we have Overcome! Shows you just how much power there is in Jesus Christ. By his blood shed at the cross, we have become victorious over Satan and death. Now God declared Satans time is short on Earth, his final destination (Lake of Fire) is coming soon!

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child. But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. Revelation 12:13-14

Great persecution is now being caused by Satan on the Church because Christ has overcome him. The two wings of the great eagle is the same that God saved the Jewish people from Egypt. Satans time is running out, and this is his last effort destroy souls

You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to Myself. Exodus 19:4

And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon poured out of his mouthSo the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. Revelation 12:15-17

The flood of water pouring out of Satans mouth are heresies and false doctrines that are being delivered to the Church. These lies and deceptions are meant to tear apart the unity of the Church. Notice Satan doesn’t attack those who are led astray, he attacks those who hold to the Word of God and Jesus Christ

If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. John 14:15

Revelation Chapter 11

Then there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, “Get up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months. Revelation 11:1-2

What is John measuring here? Could this be the prophecy of the 3rd Temple to be built in Jerusalem? Or could this be “New Jerusalem” that will be coming down from Heaven?  The same vision  is also confirmed by prophets Ezekiel and Zechariah

So He brought me there; and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a line of flax and a measuring rod in his hand; and he was standing in the gateway. Ezekiel 40:3

Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, there was a man with a measuring line in his hand. Zechariah 2:1

And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.” These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. And if anyone wants to harm them, fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way. These have the power to shut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire. Revelation 11:3-6

Who are the 2 Witnesses? Many have speculated who they are, I believe it will be Moses and Elijah. Why? Because Moses represents The Law and Elijah represents the prophets. This is why Jesus met them at the transfiguration

Notice the symbolism of the 2 Lampstands or 2 Olive Trees, they are filled with Oil, Oil is always symbolic for the Holy Spirit. These men will preach the Word of God to the entire world before the final Woe or 7th Trumpet is sounded

And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Matthew 17:3

When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which mystically is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. Those from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not permit their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate; and they will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. Revelation 11:7-10

The Anti-Christ will eventually kill the 2 witnesses and the wicked who are left in the world will celebrate. There dead bodies will lay in the streets for 3 and half days. But how does the entire world view their dead bodies? Today this is simple, with smart phones and social media, just more proof we are living in the last days. There dead bodies will be streamed live to everyone’s phone while the wicked rejoice and celebrate

As Daniel prophesied , during the End Times Knowledge will Increase, we are seeing this today with technology and social media

“But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.” Daniel 12:4

But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God came into them, and they stood on their feet; and great fear fell upon those who were watching them. And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” Then they went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them. Revelation 11:11-12

The 2 Witnesses are then “resurrected” after 3 and half days of death. Imagine watching this live on your smart phone. Breaking News 2 prophets killed have now come back to life! And then there were ascended back to the Father! What a powerful scene, surely everyone left on Earth will be terrified and should be!

When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.” John 11:43

And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe is past; behold, the third woe is coming quickly Revelation 11:13-14

Notice after this massive earthquake that killed thousands of people, the wicked on the Earth have now given Glory to God! Again people would ask, why would God do these judgements? Because its saving souls! Many people have hardened their hearts so much, that it will take a natural disaster for them to repent

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.” Revelation 11:15

What a wonderful announcement by God! The Kingdom of the world now belongs to God again, evil will be completely purged and eliminated. The setting up for the New Heavens and Earth is coming!

Arise, O God, judge the earth! For it is You who possesses all the nations. Psalm 82:8

And the twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying, “We give You thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who are and who were, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign. Revelation 11:16-17

And the worship service continues, notice it says “You (God) have begun to reign” Meaning evil is finally being abolished from the Earth. Anyone who wants to continue to live in Sin will not be doing so in Gods Kingdom

If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, Colossians 2:20

“And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.” Revelation 11:18

Jesus is setting up his “Great White Throne of Judgement” which will be talked about in a later chapter. Stay tuned! Also its mentioned how its time to reward all those who served God throughout the years! This often a topic misunderstood, yes we cant earn our salvation however we should be working for the Lord to spread his Kingdom.

“For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. Matthew 25:29

And the temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm. Revelation 11:19

The Temple of God in Heaven has been revealed, what does this mean? We are drawing closer to the time when Heaven and Earth come together to form the new Paradise or Kingdom. The Ark of Covenant is his Law. Gods Law still rules in the minds and hearts of all those who will be in Gods Kingdom! The Awesomeness of God and his Kingdom cant even be fully described, the power and majesty!

THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM,” He then says, Hebrews 10:16

Revelation Chapter 7

After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads.” Revelation 7:1-3

We begin with this scene, the angels who were given permission to open the seals of judgement, have now been given orders to cease. The good news here is we can see, that many people have become saved through the tribulation! God is going to “seal the bond-servants on their forheads” , meaning they will be sealed with the Holy Spirit and granted eternal life

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation– having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13

And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel: from the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad twelve thousand, from the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, from the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, from the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand, from the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, from the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, from the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand, from the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, from the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand were sealed. Revelation 7:4-8

The 144,000 mentioned here is a very highly debated topic among Christians. Its very clear from the text that these men are all Jewish from the 12 tribes of Israel. Could it be those Jews who have not accepted Christ yet before his return, have accepted him when Jesus returned to Earth!

Many groups like to claim that they are the 144,000 the Jehovah Witnesses, The Mormons, even Islam has claimed this right. But the Bible makes it clear these are the 12 tribes of Israel. Make no mistake about it, God is not finished with the Jewish people or Israel

And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” Revelation 7:9-10

So then the next question is “Who is The Great Multitude?” This answer will be confirmed by one of the elders, however in short its everyone who has come to Christ during the great tribulation! Doesn’t matter what race, nationality, or creed, we are all one through Jesus Christ!

The good news is there are so many saved that nobody could count, even despite all the destruction and casualties of the great tribulation, many will be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus Galatians 3:28

And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, “Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen Revelation 7:11-12

Again the worship service continues for God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world. This shows you “if you don’t want to worship God right now why would you want to worship him for eternity?”. Meaning everyone says they want to go to Heaven, but is this really true? How many people worship our God and Savior besides Sunday?

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?” I said to him, “My lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Revelation 7:13-14

The answer is confirmed on who is the “Great Multitude”, “they are the one who come out of the great tribulation and accepted Jesus Christ”.  Why would God allow a great tribulation? Because many people will come to Christ and gain eternal life through it!

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. Acts 20:28

For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them. They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:15-17

The Lamb, Jesus Christ, will be our Shepherd and give us the Living Water, where we will thirst no more! Again notice the continual worship of God, they served him day and night! Heaven is more than just about eternal life, its about being in the presence of your Creator, your Heavenly Father, your Lord and God, your Redeemer, do you want to be in his presence?

 

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Matthew 5:6

Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement)

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Shalom Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) Today marks the day of Yom Kippur, its called the Sabbath of all Sabbaths! The word Sabbath derived from Hebrew verb Shabbat means “to rest from labor”

Notice what our Lord Jesus Christ says “Come to Me (Jesus) all who labor and I will give you Rest (Sabbath)

Jesus is the literal fulfillment of the Sabbath! Many don’t understand this, but this is exactly what the Sabbaths means. The more you study the Bible , the more you see the shadows of Christ throughout the Tanakh (Old Testament) and his fulfillment. If you really want peace and rest for your soul, Come to the Lord Yeshua (Jesus), he is our Sabbath!

He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:2

The Day of Atonement has been fulfilled by Jesus Christ as the cross. Yom Kippur allows us to reflect on our sin and realize how much we need a Savior (Messiah) Jesus took the wages of our sins upon himself, he is our atoning sacrifice. This is another example how Jesus fulfilled Yom Kippur, at the cross he was the perfect atonement, the Lamb of God, who took away the sins of the word

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. Matthew 16:24

Yom Kippur is all about denying yourself and cleansing yourself from sin. Jesus has called us to deny ourselves and carry our crosses, if we truly want to be his disciple. This cross that will carry is a constant reminder of how much we need a Savior and how much price that Savior (Jesus) paid for us!

 

Revelation Chapter 3- The Churches

“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. v1

Church of Sardis = The Spiritually Dead Church

Jesus clearly identifies himself again by the One who is holding the 7 Spirits of God (Holy Spirit)  and 7 Stars (Angels/Messangers)

The 7 Spirits of God is the Holy Spirit. Remember 7 is the symbolic of completion. If you reference Isaiah 11, it describes the 7 characteristics of the Holy Spirit

The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. Isaiah 11:2

This Church/Assembly appears to have a Sin problem, as Jesus says they are appear to be alive but are actually spiritually dead. When you live in sin you are the walking dead. It appears because of their sin, Jesus is withholding the Holy Spirit and Angels from the Church

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, Ephesians 2:1

 

 

Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. v2-3

Jesus is giving this Church a “Wake Up” call literally! He is telling them if they don’t Repent and change their ways. Jesus reminds them that his return will be like a “Thief in the Night” nobody will know his day or hour of Return

More support the Church always believed in the imminent return of Christ, which supports a Pre-Trib Rapture view, as a Post-Trib would require many events to take place before the Return of Christ, including the rise of the Anti-Christ, The Tribulation, Armageddon, ect

For you are fully aware that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.  1 Thessalonians 5:2

You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ v4-6

Notice even though the majority of the Church of Sardis are false converts, there are few that are true believers recognized by Christ. “For they are worthy”, there is a remnant of true believers in every denomination and sect of Christianity, we shouldn’t condemn a whole group based of their affiliation

Jesus also brings up the “Book of Life” , notice I will not blot out your name, meaning the name was originally written in there, I think supports the idea of “age of accountability”

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. v7-8

Church of Philadelphia = The Faithful Church

Notice Jesus acknowledges this Church has “Little Power” Yet Christ wont allow this Church to be over Powered! Meaning Jesus is holding this Church in his hands, when we are weak Christ makes us strong!

The Christians of Philadelphia suffered a lot of persecution as they had little money or power, but Jesus never let them go!

Therefore, I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10

Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you v9

Synagogue of Satan is a term introduced here in Revelation, a group of ethnic Jews who reject Jesus as the Messiah and Lord, they are hostile to the gospel, and have become an enemy of God

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28

Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. v10-11

Probably the strongest support for a Pre-Trib Rapture, Jesus promises the Church will be kept from the hour of trial (Tribulation) which shall come upon the whole world. This is not a promise just for the Church of Philadelphia but the entire body of Christ!

and to await His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead—Jesus our deliverer from the coming wrath. 1 Thessalonians 1:10

 

He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ v12-13

Think about what a Pillar is, a permanent structure, Jesus is saying we will never be removed from Gods presence! Here Jesus reveals the New Heavens and Earth and New Jerusalem talked about more in Revelation 21. And again Jesus mentions we will receive a New Name! One can only wonder the awesome plans our Lord and God has instore for his people!

The nations will see your righteousness, And all kings your glory; And you will be called by a new name Which the mouth of the LORD will designate. Isaiah 62:2

“And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. v14-16

Church of Laodicea = Lukewarm Church

This Church represents mostly the Church Age we are living in today. Notice this is the last of the Churches also, which should give you a sign!

The City of Laodicea was very wealthy, and this Church really represents the False Prosperity Gospel we see today blinding millions who believe they are actually Christians but never Repented. As Jesus said these people are not really saved at all and he spit them out!

The water is neither hot nor cold, its so nauseating makes you want to vomit it out of your mouth, this is how Jesus views false worship and works.

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24

Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. v17-18

Jesus confirming this Church is full of rich people from a worldly perspective, however spiritually they are poor and dead. They rely on the physical materials of this world instead of God. Their works will be tested and refined in the fire by God through trial and testing

Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. 1 Timothy 6:17

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. v19

God disciplines those He loves, just as a Parent does with a child. Again a final plea by Christ for the Church to Repent before the final judgement

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Romans 12:11

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ ” v20-22

Jesus is knocking on the door of anyone who is willing to listen and open their heart to him!  Notice Jesus says we can sit at the throne of God with him in Victory!

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. John 14:23

This will be the last mention of the Church until Chapter 20- more strong evidence for a Pre-Trib Rapture

Revelation Chapter 2- The Churches

“To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, ‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: v1

Angel (angelos) also means messenger, some believe angel could be symbolic of the pastor or bishop.  The One (Jesus Christ)  who holds the 7 stars (Angels/Messengers)

The One (Jesus Christ) who walks among the 7 golden lampstands (Churches/Assemblies)

As we begin looking at The Letters to the 7 Churches, while these are real historical Churches, they are also profiles of the Church ages. They are also a symbolic example of other real Churches through history.

For example, the Church of Ephesus, here a real historical Church, started by the Apostle Paul, Pastored by Timothy, oversaw by the Apostle John himself, over time became known as the “Loveless Church” they lost sight of their first love in Christ. This could also be applied to many Churches throughout time, and representative of the 1rst Century Church

“I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars v2

Jesus always starts with something positive or praise for the Church. This Church doesn’t tolerate false doctrine and test the Spirit (1 John 4) Jesus also recognizes the struggle and faith of the Church

One common theme is Jesus knows our deeds, He says this to all the Churches, Christ know everything about us, the good and bad, there is nothing that can be hidden from The Lord

and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. v3

Regardless of the Churches struggle, they endured for the name of Jesus, they put their faith and Christ and didn’t grow weary (Isaiah 44)

Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. v4-5

The Church of Ephesus has forgotten its first love, Jesus Christ. We see this a lot in most Churches today. The Church is more about the world then its about Christ. Jesus says REPENT or I’ll remove your Lampstand (Church/Assembly) . Repent or Christ will dissolve the Church!

One note the great falling away of the Church of Ephesus, I believe supports the historical belief that Revelation was written later, around 95 AD, to suggest Revelation was written before 70 AD, would suggest the Church of Ephesus fell away within a few years, which considering the great spiritual leaders they had in the Church (Paul, Timothy, John, it would be highly unlikely

But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. v6

The Nicolaitans were a heretic Church formed by former deacon of the Jerusalem Church. Nicolas was ordained by Peter by began implementing sexual immorality (debauchery) into his doctrine and split off.

As Jesus stated in the beginning, he commended the Church of Ephesus for not following the heretical teachings of Nicolas and staying true to the gospel.

This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, as well as Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism Acts 6:5

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”v7 

Jesus typically ends his letters with a word of encouragement for the Church. Notice Jesus references the Tree of Life, which was in the Garden of Eden, will also be in the New Heavens and Earth (Paradise of God) Eating from the Tree of Life means Eternal Life

Notice also Jesus ends each letter with “The Spirit says to the Churches” Christ is speaking to ALL Churches and not just specifically Ephesus. Also after Chapter 3, you will no longer here the message addressed to the Churches

“And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, ‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: v8

Notice Jesus identifies himself as the First and Last (Isaiah 44) the same God identified himself in Isaiah. And has come to life (Resurrection) Jesus references his resurrection so there is no mistake who is speaking.

Thus says the LORD, the King and Redeemer of Israel, the LORD of Hosts: “I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God but Me. Isaiah 44:6

Church of Smyrna was known as the “Persecuted” Church, again even today, we see many persecuted Churches, especially in Nigeria, ect that could fit this profile.

“I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. v9

This Church is very poor by worldly standards but rich by Gods standards. Jesus recognizes their pain and suffering. And the religious Jews who mocked the Christians and accused them of blasphemy. However Jesus recognized these Jews as people of Satan.

The term Synagogue of Satan is introduced here, which many will use out of context, these are Jewish people who reject Jesus as Messiah, because of their unbelief in the Son of God, they are cut off as Children of God, nobody can come to The Father except through Christ (John 14:6)

Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father, but whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well. 1 John 2:23

Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. v10

Jesus warns them there will be persecution, imprisonment, and even death for some. So much for the prosperity gospel. But Jesus told them even if they lose their life for his sake , they will inherit the Crown of Life in Gods Kingdom. Notice this suffering is not the same as the 7 year tribulation, which Gods Wrath will be poured on the world

“Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.” ’ v11

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Jesus has overcome the world, by defeating sin and death at the cross. Through Christ we can overcome also and not be hurt by the second death, meaning the final judgement! We inherit eternal life by the blood of Jesus Christ

Notice again “What The Spirit says to the Churches”

“And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write, ‘These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword: v12

Pergamos is known as the Compromising Church

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

The One (Jesus Christ) who has the sharp two-edged sword (The Word of God)…Jesus is the Living Word

“I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. v13

The Church/Assembly of Pergamum is a persecuted Church living in a very hostile and Anti-Christ area. Antipas was a Bishop of Pergamum and was ordained by the Apostle John, he was murdered for being a Christian, historians believe he was burned alive in a pagan brass bull,

Jesus references him as a “Faithful One”.  Jesus is telling the Persecuted Church, he sees and knows the suffering they had to endure

But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. v14

The Church of Pergamum is guilty of following False Doctrine passed down by Balaam through King Balak. This doctrine of SIN was used against Israel to destroy them from within. The same is going on with the Church of Pergamum, as they continue to practice immorality within the Church

While Israel was staying in Shittim, the men began to indulge in sexual immorality with the daughters of Moab, / who also invited them to the sacrifices for their gods. And the people ate and bowed down to these gods. / So Israel joined in worshiping Baal of Peor, and the anger of the LORD burned against them. Numbers 25:1-3

Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate v15

As we noted earlier, Nicolaitans was a heretic Church that taught debauchery. Jesus rebuked other Churches for following this false doctrine. Its important we follow true doctrine from God and not manmade doctrine

Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. v16

Again The Word of God is referenced as a “Sword” Jesus defeats evil with Truth, which is the Word of God and is Jesus himself, the Living Word

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” ’ v17

Hidden Manna, remember Jesus is the “Bread of Life” Jesus is the Hidden Manna, the Bread sent down from Heaven by God. There are many theories on what the interpretation of the white stone may be, one thing we do know. Anything written in stone is permanent. Jesus is permanently writing your name in Paradise. That new name is your sanctification by the Holy Spirit

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. John 6:35

“And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, ‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: v18

The Church of Thyatira is known as the “Corrupt Church”, under the influence of the feminist spirit of Jezebel, many Churches today could be under this profile, as many Churches today are ruled by obedient women with the Jezebel Spirit

The description of Jesus (Son of God) having eyes of fire and feet of bronze, is most likely symbolic of judgement. Typically, Bronze is symbolic of judgement as its refined in the fire. This description is very similar to the prophet Daniels description

His body was like beryl, his face like the brilliance of lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of polished bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude. Daniel 10:6

“I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. v19

Jesus acknowledges the work this Church has accomplished. And also acknowledges this Church is actually growing and not getting lazy

Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. v20

Notice even though Jezebel was a real person in the Old Testament, Jesus applies her wicked spirit to a false prophetess that has seduced the Church with her sexual immorality. You can’t help but correlate this to the WOKE Church of today, that embraces the feminist movement while celebrating sexual immorality in the Church

Jezebel was a Queen in Israel who persuaded her King husband to make Israel abandon the worship of Yahweh and worship false gods of Baal and Asherah. Jezebel went on to persecute and kill the true prophets of God. Again another Church that is following false doctrine instead of the Word of God

(Surely there was never one like Ahab, who sold himself to do evil in the sight of the LORD, incited by his wife Jezebel. 1 Kings 21:25

And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. v21-22

Notice even though this Church is reluctant to Repent of its immorality, Jesus is still giving them time to Repent. This shows the great compassion and patience God has with us. Of course we need to come to repentance however if we fail to do so, its not Gods fault for our destruction. Its our own disobedience.

I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works. v23

Jesus references “Her Children” this would be a reference to the next generation of this Apostate Church, Christ will not allow this to continue! Unless these people repent and remove themselves under her authority, they will be cut off from the Kingdom and this Church will exist nomore

Put an end to the evil of the wicked, but establish the righteous, O righteous God who searches hearts and minds. Psalm 7:9

“Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. But hold fast what you have till I come. v24-25

Notice Jesus addresses part of the Church “to the rest”, “as many as do not have this doctrine” There are still some true believers within this corrupted Church. Don’t write off every Christian that’s in a corrupted Church, instead pull them out of the fire!

And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’— as I also have received from My Father; v26-27

Notice Christ will give the true Church, “power over the nations”, as noted by the Apostle Paul, we will judge the world with Christ!

Christ will rule the world, with a rod of Iron, this is in reference to the Millenial Reign, when Christ will setup His throne in Jerusalem

Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? / Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! 1 Corinthians 6:2-3

and I will give him the morning star. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ v28-29

In Revelation 22:16 , Jesus refers to himself as the BRIGHT Morning Star, now you would also note Lucifier (Satan) was referred to as a morning star (Isaiah 14) You will notice in Revelation, the Anti Christ will try to mimic the real Christ throughout history to get everyone to fall for him

But Jesus reveals he is the Bright or Real Morning Star, Lucifer is a fraud and will be defeated in the end with all his followers! Again Notice Christ says “The Spirit say to the Churches” Amen!
