Living Water

Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” John 4:10

Do you know “the gift from God”? And are you asking for the “Living Water”? Jesus stopped and asked a Samaritan woman for a drink of water. The Samaritan woman was surprised Jesus was talking to her because he was a Jew and she was a Samaritan. As their conversation grew deeper and Jesus kept revealing things to her, she recognized that he is The Messiah. (John 4:25)

Many times in life we go through the motions missing messages and opportunities that God is trying to present to us. In this case, the Samaritan women thought Jesus was just a man looking for a drink of water, when she realized she was talking to the Son of God.

Jesus is the Living Water, through his grace and mercy, we can have eternal life and never thirst again. However, many of us search for the temporary water of this world. We worry about obtaining money, food, or clothing. But God already knows you need these things and they are all temporary.

When you accept Christ , you receive the “Living Water” in which you will thirst no more. The truth, life, and the way is all revealed and given to you in Jesus Name Amen

Water Into Wine

What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him. John 2:11

Do you need to change or be transformed? One of the famous miracles we always hear about is Jesus changing the water into wine.  At first he didn’t even want to do this miracle but because he loved his mother he did it anyway. This miracle not only became one of the first signs of Jesus deity but also has become symbolic for our lives

As Christians we not only need Jesus to forgive us of our sins but we need a transformation.  The act of baptism is an act of repentance. The Biblical meaning of repentance is to change of mind and action.(Acts 3:19)  When you accept Christ you become a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17) your old sinful self has died on the cross and you are becoming transformed, just as the water was transformed into wine.

Do not conform to the ways of this world but become transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2) Through the baptism of the Holy Spirit you become transformed (Matthew 3:11) So when you read the story of Jesus turning Water into Wine, think about how he has transformed you also. Once you accept Christ into your heart, you will never be the same in Jesus Name Amen

God Is With You

They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. Jeremiah 1:19

Do you feel like you’re fighting alone? When you have God on your side, you are never alone. God promises he will never leave or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6) Remember you are an overcomer through Jesus Christ (John 16:33) If God is for us who can be against us (Romans 8:31)

Satan is going to attack you with everything he got, he wants to destroy your soul but remember God said he will not overcome you. Satan was referred to as the “Tempter” in the wilderness when he tried to overcome Jesus (Matthew 4) Satan tried many different tactics to tempt Jesus from physical needs and pleasures, to ego driven temptations.   But eventually Jesus rebuked Satan saying “Get away from me” or “depart from me Satan” ( Matthew 4:10)

No matter what temptation or trial Satan is trying to use against you, we have the power of the blood of Jesus Christ covering us. The blood that even demons tremble (James 2:19) you will not be overcome! If you are under attack today, speak against Satan in the name of Jesus Christ.

“I rebuke you Satan, I rebuke your sickness, I rebuke your addictions, I rebuke your anxiety, I rebuke your depression, depart from me in Jesus Name Amen!

Live Free

Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. 1 Peter 2:16

Why does God allow evil to happen? This is a question most of us have asked or have been asked. To better understand let’s use America as an example.  Citizens of the USA are born free, but with that freedom wouldn’t you say a lot of people abuse it? Americans have freedom of speech but then use this power to burn American flags. Americans have a right to bear arms but some choose to acquire guns illegally and use them for crime or murder. Americans have religious freedom yet sue each other if that religion offends them. These are examples of free citizens abusing their power.

The same is with God, we all have the gift of free will. God doesn’t force anyone to worship him or obey him. Some abuse this power of free will to do evil. Should God step in and control every evil act being performed? Then he would be a dictator and not a loving Father.

The reason we have evil is because people choose evil. Just as Christians, we are free people, because Jesus has set us free. But as the saying goes, with great power comes great responsibility. As Christians we choose to live free as Gods slaves for righteousness and not evil. Because all evil comes from Satan which leads to death.

Are you free today? Free from the bondages of sin and death? There is only one way to freedom and its through Jesus Christ. You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free in Jesus name Amen

Spiritual Slumber

And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. Romans 13:11

Are you in a Spiritual Slumber? The word “slumber” means to sleep or be in a state of inactivity. Often in our lives we can start to become complacent. We go through the motions and do what the bare minimum we have to do.

But as Christians we must remember Jesus said he would “Return as a Thief in The Night” (Revelation 16:15) meaning Jesus will return at a day and time when nobody expects him. As Jesus also said the day and hour nobody knows of his return except God (Matthew 24:36) So its important we live every day as if Jesus were to return.

As we know its normal for us to occasionally lose our fire, or get worn out or down on ourselves. That’s why it’s also very important that we encourage one another and build each other up (1 Thessalonians 5:11) Its equally important to reach out to fellow Christians and give them some support and encouragement periodically.

Remember that your Christian faith is not a sprint but a long race. Prepare yourself physically and spiritually to press on toward the prize and finish the race (1 Corinthians 9:24) Don’t fall into a “Spiritual Slumber” fix your eyes on Christ in Jesus Name amen

Overcomer

Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 5:5

Are you an overcomer? Well if Jesus is your Lord and Savior, then you are an overcomer. You can do all things through Christ that gives you strength. (Philippians 4:13) Because Jesus has defeated all forces of evil on the cross. Jesus (Yeshua) has defeated sickness, disease, depression, addictions, anxiety, and most importantly death! Greater is he (Holy Spirit) living inside of me than he (Satan) that is living in the world (1 John 4:4)

Jesus told us “Take heart, for I have overcome the world!” (John 16:33) Another translation for heart would be courage. Jesus is saying  There is no need to worry about your sickness, disease, addiction, or even death because he has already defeated them ALL

There is power in the name and blood of Jesus Christ! When you understand and believe this, then you can become an overcomer through Christ.  As God revealed to us “By his (Jesus)  stripes  we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5) By the blood of Jesus Christ we are all healed, we are all overcomers.

Whatever you’re going through today, speak victory over it today

“By the stripes of Jesus Christ I am healed”

“Greater is he living inside of me than he that is living in the world”

“I can do all things through Christ that gives me strength”

“No weapon formed against me shall prosper in Jesus name Amen!”
