The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners;  Isaiah 61:1

This is the Scripture Jesus read in the synagogue to announce he is the Messiah, he is the One the entire Old Testament was written about to bring salvation to the entire world. After he read this he said “Today this Scripture is Fulfilled” (Luke 4:21) Jesus himself declared he fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah

The Holy Spirit is Upon Me (Jesus) because Elohim (Yahweh) has anointed Me (Jesus)

In this prophecy you see the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit working in Unity with each other to fulfill the work of Gods Kingdom. To Bring Good News (Gospel) to the Afflicted, Bind up the Brokenhearted, Free the Captives! This sounds a lot like the Sermon on the Mount doesn’t it?

To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, Isaiah 61:2

Favorable Year of God? Day of Vengeance? There must be a mistake, right? Isn’t there still pain and suffering today? Jesus defeated Satan at the Cross! Jesus defeated Sin and Death at the Cross! No longer are we slaves to Sin and Death, but we are Free through Jesus Christ

Even though Satan didn’t think it was Gods favorable year, It Was and IT IS FINISHED Amen!

Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” John 8:58

One of the most powerful statements made by Jesus to the religious leaders, and yet many still to this day, misunderstand what Jesus is saying and revealing here. Just like in John 3 , Jesus tried to reveal the concept of being Born Again, and the religious leaders interpreted in the physical realm instead of the spiritual realm, they did the same with this statement

So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” John 8:57

The religious leaders are like “How could you have possibly seen Abraham , since he died thousands of years ago? They were only looking at Jesus from a physical perspective as a 30 year old man. Often times even today many Christians only view Jesus from his human nature and not from his divine nature, which he clearly revealed countless times

God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.'” Exodus 3:14

Jesus reveals himself as the “Great I AM”, the same I AM that spoke to Moses, the same I AM that spoke to Abraham, the same I AM that wrestled with Jacob, the same I AM that led Joshua to victory. Before Abraham was born , Jesus Christ was always eternal

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades. Revelation 1:17-18

Jesus Christ , the First and the Last (Eternal) One who died for our Sins and Now is Alive Forevermore! The One who holds the keys to life and death, Jesus is the same today, yesterday , and forever. Jesus was here before the foundations of The Earth and he will reign in the New Heavens and Earth Amen!

“Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1

The promise of the Light of The World was given to the Jewish people over 700 years before Christ was born. The Light, which overcomes the darkness, has Risen upon You. A couple take ways from this verse, first Jesus was born Jewish, the Messiah was raised from Gods own people. Second Jesus has literally Risen, as on the 3^rd day he defeated sin and death, and rose from the dead forevermore

Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. Isaiah 60:3

But Jesus didn’t come to just save the Jewish people, he came to save the entire world, Jews and Gentiles! One Covenant under God through Jesus Christ!

No longer will you have the sun for light by day, Nor for brightness will the moon give you light; But you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, And your God for your glory. Isaiah 60:19

Just as its prophesied in the book of Revelations, the New Heavens and Earth, where the radiance and holiness of Jesus will be our permanent light. No longer will the Sun be necessary because we will be living in the presence of our Lord, Savior, and God forevermore.

So Arise and Shine, because the Light Jesus Christ has come and he has Risen forevermore so we may be Risen to reign with him Amen!

and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:32

Set us Free? Wait a minute I’m already free, am I? The great deception by Satan is that you are Born Free. This is a lie from the devil, the fact is regardless of who you are or where you live, you are a slave to Sin and Death. Jesus came to set us Free, Once you know the Truth (Jesus) You can truly be Set Free

We are Abraham’s descendants,” they answered. “We have never been slaves to anyone. How can You say we will be set free?” John 8:33

The Religious Leaders cant believe this! We are descendants of Abraham (Jewish) We are Born Free! Wrong! We are all born slaves to Sin and Death. The Bible is very clear that everyone has sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23)

Everyone needs Jesus! Everyone needs the salvation of his blood that he shed for our sin on the cross at Calvary! No exceptions! You will not inherit Heaven because of our good works or religion. Only the blood of Christ can set Your Free!

Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:34-36

When you continue to live in your sinful lifestyle, You are a slave! A slave has no permanent residence, but through Christ you can be a Child of God! A permanent member in the Kingdom of God, the Son Jesus , the Truth, the Life, the Way, will Set You Free! Amen!
