Happy Veterans Day!

Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

This week we celebrate Veterans Day, to honor our heroes past and present. My Father is a Vietnam Veteran who served 3 years in the Navy, I’m very proud of him for his sacrifice and service he gave to us and this country.

Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice for us on the cross. Some would say Jesus was murdered, however this is not true, Jesus willingly laid down his life for us, to be the ransom for our sins. The ransom that has set us free from our sin so we may inherit eternal life. Notice Jesus calls us his “Friends”. Just as the song says “What a friend we have in Jesus” , he demonstrated his love towards us on the cross.

The original Greek word for Love is “Agape”. This word has a stronger meaning than we normally associate with the English word Love. Notice in the KJV translation they translate Agape as “Charity” that’s because Agape is a sacrificial Love, not a superficial Love that we are used to

We honor and thank our veterans because they have demonstrated their Agape towards us also. Any veteran that has served has sacrificed something. But because of them we have the freedom here in America. If you openly practice your religion, Thank a Veteran!, If you openly voice your opinions, Thank a Veteran! If you just voted the other day, Thank a Veteran! Its because of their sacrifice we have freedom

The same with Jesus Christ, its because of his sacrifice on the cross, that we have been freed from Sin and Death. We have ultimate freedom because of Jesus Christ!

Heavenly Father, we pray for all the Veterans today and their families, we pray you set them free from any bondage or chains they may be troubled with. We pray for the peace and strength of the Holy Spirit to tough their hearts in Jesus Name Amen!

Happy Veterans Day!

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45

Why should we celebrate Veterans Day? Because they are the ones who served, they sacrificed a lot to put their life’s on the line for our freedom. Some even paid the ultimate price of laying down there life, but Jesus said there is no greater love than do lay down your life ( John 15:13) therefore the sacrifice that Veterans have paid for you and me should be honored.

I’m proud of My Father, who served in Vietnam. Because of him and many other heroic Veterans, we can be here today. Here today practicing our religious freedom, to wish our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Who even though he is the King of Kings, also came to serve and laid down his life for us so we can be set free from death.

So today take the time to Thank a Veteran, try to remember the sacrifice they have made, even if you don’t understand it. And remember to Thank God for allowing to be part of this great nation and for sending his only Begotten Son to give us true spiritual freedom in Jesus Name Amen

Heavenly Father,

I pray for our Veterans of the past and present, I pray that you give them the peace, hope, and love of your Holy Spirit.  If God is for us who can stand against us in Jesus Name Amen

Thank you Veterans!

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:13

Today is Veterans Day, a day when we need to honor our real true heroes of this nation, past and present. Today’s society defines hero as a reality star or pop star. But if you want to see a true definition of a hero look no further than the men and woman who sacrificed it all for you!

I’m proud to say my Father is a hero, a Vietnam Veteran who spent 3 years in Hell for all of us. Without him I wouldn’t be able to even write this devotional, think about it. You have freedoms in the country including religion and speech because of heroes like my Dad, don’t let anyone take those freedoms away. They were not gained in vain.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Jesus sacrificed his life so we can have eternal life, this is called “Agape” which is the highest form of love that is not selfless but sacrificial and spiritual. Jesus showed us what the ultimate act of love is, it’s an act not just a feeling.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Theres a time for everything, Veterans have been through the worst of times, let’s support them and help them see a time of healing and peace. We know that the only Peace for our soul is thru Jesus Christ, let them see that Peace through you.

Honor and Thank all Veterans today, past and present. Remember the sacrifices they suffered and the sorrows they had to bear for all of us. May God give them faith , hope , and love in Jesus Name Amen

Happy Veterans Day

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:13
Veterans need to be honored for their wiliness to pay the ultimate sacrifice for all of us
For where would we all be without Veterans paying the price? Most likely we would be unable to exercise our freedoms of today such as worshipping God
Talking about sacrifice I can’t help but talk about our Messiah Jesus sacrificing himself to pay the price for our sins.
Are we worthy of either sacrifice? Probably not, that’s why I’m thankful and feel blessed for all the sacrifices made for me and my family.
I’m proud of my father, a Vietnam Veteran; spend 3 years over there right out of high school. He was just a young boy when they sent him over, he didn’t know what to expect and probably seen evil we couldn’t even imagine.
But he was courageous and brave and was willing to sacrifice because he loves this country, he loves his family, and he loves God
The true heroes of this country are Veterans just like my Dad, not some pop star, not some overpaid athlete. Brave men and women who are willing to risk it all to protect us all.
Nobody likes war and we all pray for Peace but as it says in Ecclesiastes 3:8 “There is a time for war and a time for Peace” but when the enemy attacks our people, these are the soldiers who risk it all.
So today are you thankful for your Church? Thanks a Veteran. Are you thankful for your house? Thank a Veteran. Are you thankful for your education? Thank a Veteran.
Without Veteran none of these freedoms would be possible. Therefor I Thank you all the Veterans especially my Dad! Happy Veterans Day!
God Bless you all and I pray one day we will all live free in God’s Kingdom Amen
