Over 1,000  years before Jesus was born, God promised to send his only begotten Son. What does it mean to be the Son of God? Did Yahweh have a Biological Son? That’s not possible, God is a Spirit not a Man (John 4:24)

Many people are quick to call Jesus the Son of God, but do they really know what being the Son of God means? First we need to understand God and we need to understand the state of humanity.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created Time, Space, and Matter. Inside our realm of Time, Space, and Matter we are bound and limited by the Laws of Nature. Outside of this realm God is timeless, spaceless, and immaterial. Our human minds can’t even comprehend this state of being. In order for God to save us from our sins, he needs to become human and enter our realm

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

God the Father sent Jesus the Son to became man and die for the sins of the world. Wasn’t Jesus just a man? No how could he remain sinless if he was just human? Was Jesus just God? No he needed to become mortal to die for our sins. The occurrence of God and Man coming together in one Jesus,describes him as the Begotten (Only One, Unique, Anointed One)

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

God became Flesh and lived among us. How can this happen? It happened when Jesus was born from a Virgin, in a manger, in Bethlehem.Salvation came down from Heaven that day through Jesus Christ Amen!

Fishers Of Men

Behold, I am going to send for many fishermen,”declares the LORD, “and they will fish for them; and afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and every hill and from the clefts of the rocks. Jeremiah 16:16

The beginning of this Chapter (Jeremiah 16) doesn’t start out pretty , as God is punishing Israel for its sins and idolatry. However just like in the beginning of time, God has a plan of restoration! God fortells he is going to send out many “fishermen” and many “hunters” to bring back the lost and unsaved

Now because we have further revelation (New Testament) we know how God fulfilled this prophecy through Jesus Christ. But imagine being Jeremiah and wondering what God was talking about when he said he is going to send out “Fisher of Men”

And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19

Fast forward to the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ! He called upon literal Fisherman, (Peter and Andrew) to be his disciples and bring the lost back to God. Jesus told them “I will make you Fishers of Men”, which fulfilled the prophecy by Jeremiah

Notice Jesus says to them “Follow Me” first. Jesus didn’t force them into becoming “Fishers of Men” then believed and trusted in Jesus to complete the works that he promised them. So how do you Fish for People? Spread the good news (gospel) of Christ, be kind and do good works for your neighbors, even your enemies! Be the Light and Salt of the Earth

Follow Jesus and he will make you Fisher of Men! Help lead people to Christ and set them free from condemnation Amen!

Heart of Christmas

Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

Why do people reject Christ? Why do people continue to runaway from God? Because they have hearts of stone. When you live for the flesh, your only future is death. When you live in the Spirit for Christ, your future is everlasting life. This can only happen if God has given you a spiritual heart transplant

Over 2,000 years ago, God became human and came down to live among us in Jesus Christ. The greatest gift of Grace was sent down to all of us, who is willing to receive it? Who is willing to receive Jesus Christ in their hearts? Who is willing to leave behind the old sins of the past and follow the Savior Jesus?

If you receive this gift , God will place a New Heart inside you, the Holy Spirit will live in you! This is the Heart of Christmas, to accept the greatest gift of Jesus Christ into your heart

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

Jesus  is making all things new, including You! Receive him into your heart and let him create a clean and new heart inside you. The old Heart of Stone must first be removed,Repent and receive your Lord and Savior, the newborn King of Kings!

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8

Do you want to live in the Kingdom of God with our Lord Jesus for all eternity? If so you must receive the gift of Grace God has sent to us. Only the Pure in Heart, the ones with a renewed Heart in Christ will see God Amen!

Revelation Chapter 22- Lord Come Quickly!

And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. v1-2

 

River of Life + Tree of Life = Healing of all nations

Now we are seeing the first glimpses of Heaven, of Paradise that has been restored. Notice God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ are there right with us. Just like the Garden of Eden, God has provided a Paradise just for us!

“By the river on its bank, on one side and on the other, will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear every month because their water flows from the sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing.” Ezekiel 47:12

And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever. v3-5

 

 

The curse of Sin and Death are over! Victory is now ours through Jesus Christ. We will finally see the Lord face to face and serve him daily. When it says his name will be on their foreheads, I believe this means we are sealed by the Holy Spirit.

Notice there will never be darkness ever again! The face of Jesus shines so bright the Sun is not even necessary for Heaven.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” Galatians 3:13

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation– having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13

Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place. “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” v6-7

Jesus tells us three times in this Chapter that He is Coming Quickly, Are you ready? Jesus may come today, maybe tomorrow, or maybe next year, don’t be like the 5 Virgins who were not ready when the Lord returned. Always keep your lamps lit! Blessed is the one who keeps the Word of God!

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. Matthew 24:36

Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” v8-9

The Apostle John was so excited about what he heard and saw, he fell down to worship the Angel. The Angel quickly rebuked him and told him to only worship God. Notice throughout the Bible Jesus was worshipped. This should tell you something

When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. Matthew 28:17

Jesus Is God

And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.” v10-11

The Angel told the Apostle John, “Don’t seal up this book” Why? Because the time of Christ return is soon! Jesus said three times in this chapter alone “I will come quickly” Be ready and prepared for the return of our Lord and Savior

What I say to you I say to all, ‘Be on the alert!'” Mark 13:37

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” v12-13

From the words of the Lord Jesus Christ himself, He is coming quickly! Notice also Jesus says that everyone will be judged according to their deeds. Everything you do daily for God matters! You will be rewarded for your labor as a servant to Christ!

Also Jesus confirms again his deity as he tells us He is Eternal (The Alpha and Omega) (Beginning and The End) Jesus reigns forevermore!

“Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me. Isaiah 44:6

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. v14-15

Here we see two groups of people, those washed with the blood of Christ and those who are still covered in sin. But notice the timing of this scripture, the New Heavens and Earth has been established, the Holy City of the New Jerusalem has already come down from Heaven. The Great White Throne Judgement has already taken place. Could this be scriptural proof of an Eternal Hell?

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Matthew 25:46

“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”v16

Interesting to note here Jesus calls himself “the bright morning start” remember Satan was also referred to also the morning star, so what does this all mean. Notice throughout the Bible, Satan tries to copy or mimic Jesus. He tries to get people to worship him, he even tried to fake his own death and resurrection. But there is only one true Christ, the Son of God , Jesus!

Son of David = Messianic Title

How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! Isaiah 44:12

And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. v17

The Holy Spirit and The Church are screaming for the return of Jesus Christ! Are you yelling “Come Lord Jesus”? Are you spiritually awake and lamps are lit? Or are you in a spiritual slumber? Time to Get Ready!

For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. v18-19

Jesus makes it very clear, we are not to add to Gods word or subtract from it. Anyone who adds to the Word of God will be condemned. Its important to preach what God has written and not create false doctrines

You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Deuteronomy 4:2

He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. v20-21

Jesus emphasizes again that He is coming Soon! Are you getting the message Church? Are you ready for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ?

If anyone does not love the Lord, he is to be accursed. Maranatha. 1 Corinthians 16:22

Not In Vain

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58

Often times as Christians we probably feel our work for Jesus is in vein. We work very hard every day to live for The Lord, however sometimes we don’t see the fruits of our labor for a long time. Paul is preaching a message of hope and perseverance to his fellow Christians. Your labor for God is not in vain, God knows every work you has done and your works are being used to prepare the Kingdom of God

Knowing that your (kopos) is not  (kenos)

 

The Greek word kopos also means pains, labor, toil

The Greek word kenos means empty

Knowing that your (Pains) Is Not (Empty)

The work your are doing for Jesus is not empty, its not fruitless. However during this time, you are going to feel pains, your going to labor , you are going to toil. But your work is for God and nobody else. When you keep the right perspective on your labor, they you will always be satisfied

and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. 1 Corinthians 15:14

The Resurrection is the center of Christianity, because without the Resurrection of Christ there is no hope. Without the Resurrection of Christ there is no purpose for anything your doing as a Christian. However since we know the Resurrection is true, we know that our works are not in vein (kenon) (empty) but our works are fulfilling Gods Kingdom

Kenon and Kenos mean the same thing in Greek meaning Empty

If Christ has not been raised (Resurrected) then our preaching is  (Kenon) (Empty) and your Faith is also (Kenon) (Empty)

However since we know Christ has been raised from the dead , our works and faith are fulfilling in glorifying God Amen!

Therefore, thus says the LORD, “If you return, then I will restore you– Before Me you will stand; And if you extract the precious from the worthless, You will become My spokesman. They for their part may turn to you, But as for you, you must not turn to them. Jeremiah 15:19

The Life of being a prophet for Jeremiah was taking a toll on him, read what Jeremiah said to God before he responded

“Woe to me, my mother, that you have borne me As a man of strife and a man of contention to all the land! I have not lent, nor have men lent money to me, Yet everyone curses me.” Jeremiah 15:10

Because Jeremiah was speaking truth to people and warning them about the judgement of God, everyone turned on him. Nobody wants to hear the truth unless it benefits them. God was calling the nation of Israel to repentance, yet nobody wanted to listen. Instead they wanted to “shoot the messenger”

But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 2 Timothy 3:1-4

Fast forward to today, people still don’t want to repent. People still don’t want to hear the truth about God. Instead people want to “shoot the messengers” , they don’t want to believe in God, they want to discredit the Bible, they want to pretend Jesus never existed.

God said if you return (Repent) to him,  then he will restore You, by the blood of Jesus Christ we can be set free Amen!

Revelation Chapter 21- NO MORE!

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.  Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. v1-2

No More Sea = No more division within the Kingdom of God, no more governments Christ rules and reigns

The Great White Throne Judgement is over = New Heaven and Earth

New Jerusalem = place prepared for His bride = John 14:2-3 = City of God

Probably one of the most exciting Chapters in the entire Bible. Here we learn what Heaven and Earth will look like when God restores his Kingdom. Notice it says the old Earth is going to pass away, God is going to restore paradise just like in the beginning at the garden of Eden

The holy city of the New Jerusalem is coming down from Heaven with God dwelling in it! Jesus will establish his throne here on Earth and reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords

But in keeping with God’s promise, we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. 2 Peter 3:13

For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind. Isaiah 65:17

For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. Hebrews 11:10

And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. v3

God is with men = we will live with Christ

Think about this, God is going to dwell among us Forever! Now wait a minute, many people believe Heaven is in the sky, floating around on clouds , and playing harps. No, The Bible clearly tells us Heaven will be restored here on Earth, just as it was meant to be in the beginning!

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” v4

One of the greatest scriptures in the Bible! Death, pain, suffering, and illness are all gone! There will be no more sorrow, no more depression, no more anxiety, these things have all been removed completely by God. The former things have all passed away!

He will swallow up death for all time, And the Lord GOD will wipe tears away from all faces, And He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken. Isaiah 25:8

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. v5-7

Jesus Christ takes his throne = King of Kings

Jesus is Eternal, Jesus states he is the Alpha and Omega (First and Last letter of Greek Alphabet), Beginning and the End. Meaning Jesus always existed, he was always here. Don’t confuse Jesus human side with his deity.

Everyone who is in Christ is a Child of God! No longer are you a stranger or foreigner in the Kingdom of God. You are a Child of God by the blood of Jesus Christ

Thus says the LORD, the King and Redeemer of Israel, the LORD of Hosts: “I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God but Me. Isaiah 44:6

And if we are children, then we are heirs: heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with Him, so that we may also be glorified with Him. Romans 8:17

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” v8

Lake of Fire = Eternal Hell Fire = Second Death

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20:14

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. v9-14

Here we see the Angel is showing the Apostle John what the New Jerusalem will look like. Visually its beyond our comprehension or words. Imagine a structure built by Gods hands using the finest stones and materials. The New Jerusalem will be beyond our comprehension when we are there

Notice the city has the names of the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 apostles. It’s awesome to see how the Old and New Covenants have come together to worship the same God under the rule of the Christ Jesus = 24 elders Revelation

Great High Walls = New Jerusalem

 

And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. v15-17

The New Jerusalem is going to be about 1,400 miles wide and 1,400 miles long, a perfect cube. New Jerusalem will be larger than the current country of India with nearly 2 million square miles! Think about that! And the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit will all dwell there among us, what a beautiful thought!

The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. v18-21

Again the materials of the New Jerusalem are only the finest and so beautiful its beyond words or comprehension. The gold is so pure that its like clear glass. Remember the walls will be 1,400 miles high also. Also the streets are made of pure gold, what an awesome site it will be to see!

But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.  Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). v22-25

Jesus Is The New Temple = No Need For Sun = Jesus Is The Light (Literally)

Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” John 2:19

Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. Isaiah 60:3

“No longer will you have the sun for light by day, Nor for brightness will the moon give you light; But you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, And your God for your glory. Isaiah 60:19

The New Jerusalem has no need for a temple, why? Because God himself dwells there forever! There will never be any darkness and the gates are never closed! Access to God almighty 24 X7, its going to be a long worship service!

And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. v26-27

Sin does not exist in the Kingdom of Heaven, this is why if your still living in sin you must remove it! Confess your sins to Jesus and repent! Become a new creation in Gods Kingdom! Make sure your name is written in the Book of Life! Make sure Jesus is your Lord and Savior!

But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. 2 Peter 3:13
