“‘When I called, they did not listen; so when they called, I would not listen,’ says the LORD Almighty.
Zechariah 7:13

How many of us treat God like a life line? Whenever we are in trouble or distress we call out to God to save us. But when things are going good, we usually don’t thank him or even acknowledge him. This is the same relationship God had with the Jewish people. When he called out to them, they wouldn’t listen so when the time came when they cried out to God, he stopped listening also.

Many of us don’t see God as a relationship but he is. Through Jesus Christ we can have a personal relationship with God. As many of us probably know a relationship requires both people to be open and honest with one another and communicate!

Usually when a marriage or friendship is going bad, that’s when communication or trust has broken down. This is the same with our relationship with God. Maybe you’re wondering why God seems so distant or not hearing you, maybe you have been distant and not hearing him. A relationship requires work, communication, honesty, and sacrifice!

So throughout your day , give praise to God through prayer! Cast your cares and concerns upon him! Let him know whats going on in your mind! Jesus has given us the way to God the Father, call upon him daily in Jesus name Amen!

so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Hebrews 9:28

We hear of many descriptions of Christ such as The Lamb and Lion. The first time Jesus came to Earth, he was the Lamb of God, a perfect sacrifice to take the wages of the sin of the world. But when Jesus returns, he will be on a different mission. He will be returning as The Lion of Judah, to bring judgement to those who have rejected him and establish Gods eternal Kingdom.

Notice the scripture here says “ To bring salvation to those what are waiting for him”, are you waiting for the return of Jesus Christ? It may sound cliché or a topic over done. But its important to be prepared for the great “Day of The Lord”, when every eye will see him coming in the clouds, those who rejected him are mourning because time is up!

With all the trouble and turmoil in this world, do you really want this to be your permanent home? A world we live in where you have to be afraid to allow your child to play down the street, where nation has risen against nation, where natural disasters have become the new normal weather forcast.

Time is running out, get yourself ready for the return of Jesus Christ! Clean your hearts and minds through the blood of Jesus Christ, who has taken the sins away of all who believe in him. Wait for him and the salvation of God is promised in Jesus Name Amen!

Take the silver and gold and make a crown, and set it on the head of the high priest, Joshua son of Jozadak. Tell him this is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘Here is the man whose name is the Branch, and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the LORD. Zechariah 6:11-12

One of the greatest prophecies about the Messiah is right here, why? Because it specifically identifies the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  The Hebrew translation for Jesus is Yeshua, which the direct English translation is Joshua! In this prophecy God is telling them the name of  “The Branch” or “The Messiah” is Joshua or translated today better known as Jesus

It is he who will build the temple of the LORD, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he will be a priest on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.’ Zechariah 6:13

It goes on to tell us Jesus will be clothed with majesty and sit on the throne as King of Kings. Jesus is the high priest, as he is the head of every Christian Church. And there will be harmony or peace in Israel.

The prophecy of “The Branch” or another reference to the Messiah is also found in Isaiah 4 . The Branch means Jesus will be from the line of David, this prophecy was fulfilled as Joseph his Earthly Father, registered Jesus as his own son during the census which was ordered (Luke 2) This fulfilled the Biblical prophecy of Jesus being from the Line of David even though his is the Son of God

There is no denial who our Lord and Savior is and what is name is! His name , which is above all names , was revealed by God Almighty and he has fulfilled all things to give us new life in Jesus Name Amen

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. Matthew 16:24

What are your expectations of Jesus? May sound like a strange question but many people who are being mislead by false doctrine find themselves quickly falling away from their faith because their expectations of Jesus were always wrong to begin with.

Prosperity gospel has become a big seller among people searching for God, but its false doctrine. In fact its totally the opposite of what Jesus taught us what to expect. Jesus never said you were going to get a good job, or a big house, or flawless health if you follow him. What Jesus actually told us we can expect trials, tribulations, persecution, to be mocked and hated, some people will even die for their faith in Christ.

So why should people truly come to Jesus? Simple because we all have a  terminal disease called sin and the only cure is Jesus Christ. When people finally come to terms that they need a Savior, then they finally find the true reason to come to Jesus.

You may not get a big promotion or a fancy house, but your sins will be washed away and on judgment day you will be pardoned for your sins.  This means you can have eternal life in the Kingdom of God. There is no greater gift than that and Jesus gave this to us on the cross. Now repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand in Jesus Name Amen

By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear. Hebrews 8:13

When Jesus said “It is Finished” on the cross, the new covenant was officially instated. The wages of sin had been paid by the blood of Jesus Christ

However confusion on the Old and New Covenant has been a never ending debate among Christians. Some Christians feel the need to carry on “Old Covenant” traditions in order to stay in good favor with God. But they don’t understand this “New Covenant” is for everyone and not just the Jewish people as before.

Jesus said he has fulfilled the law (Matthew 5:17) what does that mean? Well under the Old Covenant unless you were Jewish, you had no hope for salvation. Traditions such as circumcision have set Jews apart to be Gods chosen people.

But under the “New Covenant” we all have hope for salvation through Jesus Christ. Instead of physical circumcision we are spiritually circumcised. God reads the minds and hearts, your religious traditions can’t save you from the penalty of sin. Only the blood of Christ can wash away our transgressions.

As God promised he sent his Holy Spirit to baptize all of us and be our guide to have “The Law” in our hearts. No longer are we slaves to sin as Jesus freed us from the wrath of The Law in Jesus Name Amen

“Shout and be glad, Daughter Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you,” declares the LORD. Zechariah 2:10

No matter how bad of a day you are having, remember you can shout and be glad because God has fulfilled this prophecy. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, just as he said he would.

God said he will live among us, and he is today. The day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit came and dwells in everyone who is sealed by the blood of Christ. God can be living inside you today, just call upon The Lord and you shall be saved.

Many times in life we get distracted on the small things. The struggles and trials of our everyday life. However God has a redemption plan for us all, that is greater than us all. All these small things that we spend our time worrying about are meaningless, because God has fulfilled his redemption plan

So no matter what your going through today, you can rejoice and be glad in this day! Because God has come and redeemed us through his Son. Then he sent our comforter , The Holy Spirit to live among us! The same power that rose Jesus from the dead is living inside us Amen!
