Satan is Defeated

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” Genesis 3:15

Over the next month for the Christmas season, we will be taking a look at prophecies about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Tanakh or Old Testament. To start we don’t need to look much further than the first book of the Bible, Genesis.

After Satan corrupted the perfect world with sin and death, God told him he would be destroyed, his head would be crushed by his offspring. This prophecy came true when the virgin Mary gave birth to the only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ. Because of this birth, humanity now has victory over Satan through Jesus Christ

The original Hebrew word for Enmity is “Ebah” this mean a deep hatred or hostility towards one another. When Satan corrupted mankind through Adam, God declared war on Satan through Jesus Christ. Satan inflicted his mass weapons of destruction including disease, illness, depression, anxiety, and even death.

But on the cross at Calvary, Jesus defeated all evil including sin and death. At that moment when he said “It is Finished” Satans head was crushed, the prophecy was completed. The enmity continues between Satan and Gods people. As he continues to wage war on the Christian Church, we need to remain strong and know Satan and his follower’s days are numbered. The serpents head has been crushed in Jesus name Amen!

Happy Thanksgiving

So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. John 11:41

Before Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead , what did he do? He Thanked God the Father, for hearing his prayers. Throughout The Bible the common theme is thankfulness towards God. Even Jesus, who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, took the time to acknowledge our Heavenly Father and give him glory for all his works

Thanksgiving is actually a religious holiday created based on The Bible. When the Protestants came to America, they replicated the Jewish festival of Sukkot. This holiday Jews celebrate Moses leading the Israelites to the Promise Land. The Protestants believed they were doing the same by coming to a new Promise Land (America) for freedom to worship Christ In 1863 Abraham Lincoln declared Thanksgiving a nation day of “Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwells in Heaven”

As you gather together with your family and friends today, give Thanks to God, your Heavenly Father,  for everything he has blessed you with, past and present. Often times we only talk to God when we are in need or hurting. How about just telling God Thanks for your life, for your family, and for Jesus Christ.

As Christians we have so much to be Thankful for, we have the salvation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We have the promise of a New Heaven and Earth, we have the promise of a pain free and happy eternal life in Gods Kingdom.

Give Thanks to God today for his love and mercy endures forever and ever in Jesus Name Amen!

Come To Repentance

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

When is Jesus going to return? This has been a question since the 1rst Century Church began. Many Christians expected Christ to return almost immediately, while non- believer mock and scoff. So when is Jesus Christ going to return?

The Bible teaches us that God is prolonging his return as long as possible because he doesn’t want anyone to perish. See God wants everyone to come to the salvation of Christ, he doesn’t want anyone to have to face the wrath and judgment of our sins.

When Jesus does return Christians will rejoice but the wicked will mourn (Revelation 1:7) and even try to hide in caves and flee (Isaiah 2:19). But nobody who is left will be able to escape the Great Day of The Lord, where judgment comes upon the whole Earth (Zephaniah 1:14)

So if you wonder why Christ still hasn’t returned, its because God is patient and merciful. He is wanting and waiting for as many people as possible to come to salvation through Jesus Christ. God wants everyone to repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near in Jesus Name Amen

Lifted Up

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” John 12:32

Forty days after Jesus rose from the dead, he ascended into Heaven, just as he prophesied about himself.. This final act completed was just the beginning of the arrival of The Holy Spirit and the beginning of the Christian Church.

When Jesus ascended into Heaven he was seated at the right hand of God, this was the exaltation of Jesus Christ. No longer was he the “Suffering Servant” who lowered himself below the angels to be the ransom for our sins. Now he is sitting on the throne in Heaven as King of Kings and Lord of Lords

You might wonder why the disciples and apostles of Christ were willing to lay down their lives with no Earthly reward for themselves except persecution, suffering, and death. The reason is simple, many of these men were eye witnesses to Christ’s resurrection and ascension.

Paul teaches at one point there were over 500 people who witnessed the Resurrected Jesus. This is why all the people are drawn to Jesus Christ. This is why Christians were willing to risk losing their lives, because they know Jesus is the only one that can save our life

Time is running out, it’s time to be drawn to Jesus Christ, the one who was lifted up and seated at the right hand of God. The one who defeated sin and death and has made us free in Jesus name Amen

Slaves to Christ

They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity–for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.” 2 Peter 2:19

What has mastered you? Many people believe they are free, however we are all slaves. You are either a slave to sin and death or a slave to Jesus Christ. Most people don’t want to see it this way, but this is the truth.

If you deny Christ, and you deny the existence of our Father God. You are still under the bondage of The Law whether you believe it or not. You’re not living free, as every day you are chained to your mortality, sickness, and disease.

There is only way to be set free, and its through Jesus Christ. For if the son has set you free, you are free indeed ( John 8:36) However even though we a freed from The Law by the blood of Christ, we chose to be slaves to Christ because he is our Lord and Master

Jesus said to deny yourself , carry your cross, and follow him (Matthew 16:24) Meaning let go of your worldly desires and sins that have mastered you. No longer live to please your flesh but live to please God. Make Jesus your Lord and Savior, and you will be free from the slavery of Satan in Jesus name Amen
