Build On The Rock

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Matthew 7:24

Are you building your house on the rock or the sand? When the storms of life come, is your faith strong enough to withstand the storm? Jesus taught us that the Word of God is like building your house on the rock, this is because the Word of God never changes (Matthew 24:35) . The grass may whither but the Word of God will stand forever (Isaiah 40:8) Meaning God is the beginning and the end (Revelation 22:13) so we can put our trust in his Word because its eternal

What about the storms of life? No matter who you are, you’re going to face a trial and tribulation (John 16:33) Its how we respond to them that makes us who we are. These trials will prove the genuine of your faith ( 1 Peter 1:7) because faith without works is dead (James 2:14) So if your faith is never tested, how can you prove your genuine.

But those who don’t build their life on the Word of God, are like those who build on the sand (Matthew 7:26) when those same trials come, because they have no faith, there life quickly falls apart. See faith is the confidence of what we hope for (Hebrews 11:1) When we have strong faith, we can endure the storms of life in Jesus Name Amen

The Mediator

If only there were someone to mediate between us, someone to bring us together, Job 9:33

Job suffered greatly, but he didn’t understand that he wasn’t being punished by God, he was being attacked and tested by Satan. During Job’s suffering he says he wishes there was a mediator between him and God, we have that mediator and his name is Jesus Christ

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5) Job understands the awesomeness of God, “ He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea” (Job 9:8) but he doesn’t understand the grace and mercy of God. He believes that God is angry and is looking to destroy him but he doesn’t understand that even though we were still sinners God still loved us (Romans 5:8)  and Christ eventually died for us all to be the ransom (1 Timothy 2:6) for the wages of our sins

Now we know that Job lived before Jesus was sent to Earth, to be our Messiah. However the God of Abraham , Isaac , and Jacob is the same God of Matthew, Mark , Luke, and John. We are now Children of God through Christ (Romans 8:15) and have a mediator Christ Jesus who will acknowledge our names before God if we acknowledge him before others (Matthew 10:32) in Jesus Name Amen

Power in Forgiveness

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew 6:14

Are you still holding on to the pain of past mistakes done to you? Did someone hurt you and your struggling to move on? Jesus taught us that there is power in Forgiveness, instead of holding on to your pain that’s making you a prisoner, release it to God and let the judgement be his (Matthew 7:1)

Is forgiveness easy? No but when we cast our cares to God (1 Peter 5:7), he will renew our strength (Isaiah 40:31) Don’t allow your past hold you down from your future. Jesus said if we can’t forgive others than we can’t be forgiven either (Matthew 6:15) remember even when we were sinners Christ died for us and forgave us for our sins (Romans 5:8)

Remember Jesus who was beaten and nailed to a cross, instead of showing hatred towards others he said “Father forgive them for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:24) If Christ can forgive the world, you can forgive your enemies. Remember Jesus said to Love your enemies for even the pagan love their own family. (Matthew 5)

Don’t allow others to hold your prisoner, the Son has set your free (John 8:36) At the cross all the chains have been broken, you can overcome the world because Christ has already overcame it (John 16:33) in Jesus Name Amen

Childlike Faith

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3

Do you have the faith of a child? Have you given up on your hopes and dreams for the future? Jesus taught us unless we become like a child again, we can’t enter the kingdom of Heaven. So what can we learn from children? Are children born with hate, violence? No these are learned behaviors from the world, unless we become reborn again (John 3:3) and renew are minds (Romans 12:2) we can’t become Children of God

Jesus also taught us that children are the greatest in Heaven (Matthew 18:4) , why? Because God resists the proud and exalts the humble (James 4:6) As we grow older we fall for lies of Satan and grow cold. Our priorities become money and we fall for his traps of addictions and sin.

We must relearn as children that Love is the most important thing. What does every child want? They want to be loved by their parents. Love is the fulfilment of Gods law (Galatians 5:14) and Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:8) So remember what Jesus said you can’t seen the Kingdom of Heaven unless your reborn again (John 3:3)

We can learn a lot from Children, don’t lose your childlike Faith, your childlike Hope, and most importantly childlike Love in Jesus Name Amen

Ceasefire

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? Matthew 7:3

Its easy to point out the flaws and failures of others, but what about yourself? Can you look in the mirror and be accountable for your flaws and failures also? Jesus teaches us this principle, judgement is not ours, whoever judges another is condemning themselves.

Problem is when we spend so much time on analyzing others people’s flaws, we tend to forgot our own. Its important we strive to live like Christ and allow him to live in us. How did Jesus view others? Remember when the woman caught in adultery, instead of Jesus condemning her to death her forgave her of her sins. Then Jesus said “Let anyone of you who is without sin, cast the first stone (John 8:7) Nobody condemned her then, why? Because we are all guilty, we are all sinners and have fallen short to the Glory of God (Romans 3:23)

So is there a plank in your own eye? Meaning do you have some unresolved sin in your life? Is your life a reflection of Christ or the world? Stop looking at the sin in other people lives and reflect on your own life. Are you ready to stand before Jesus with a clean heart and mind? Repent your sins for the kingdom of God is at hand (Matthew 3:2)in Jesus name Amen

Thief In The Night

“Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.” Revelation 16:15

Are you ready for the return of Jesus Chirst? Or will you be caught exposed by your nakedness? Nobody know the day or hour when Christ will return except God almighty (Matthew 24:36) That’s why its important to stay alert and keep your lamps lit (Matthew 25) Does anyone ever expect a thief to show up at their house? No otherwise you would be ready, this is the same principle with Christs return (Luke 12:39)

Don’t be deceived , for just as in the Days of Noah will be the same for the day of The Lord (Luke 17:26) People will mock, blasphemy God, and continue on sinning even up to the Judgement of God comes upon them, the same as the Great Flood. (Luke 17:27) That’s why many will mourn the great day when they see Jesus coming in the clouds  (Matthew 24:30) because the judgement of God is coming upon The Earth.

Are you washed in the blood of Jesus? (1 John 1:7) He is the only way to eternal life (John 14:6) Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand (Matthew 3:2) Prepare yourself for the coming of our Lord, keep your lamps lit, reframe from evil , we are Children of The Light we don’t belong to darkness or evil, so stay alert and don’t fall asleep like the world has fallen asleep (1 Thessalonians 5:6)

Prepare yourself for the coming of Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, were every knee will bow and tongue will confess he is our Lord and Savior Amen

What is Your Soul Worth?

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Matthew 16:26

What is your eternal soul worth to you? Is there anything worth giving it up for? These questions Jesus addressed to teach us the importance of not conforming to the ways of the world (Romans 12:2) but to keep our minds on our eternal destiny which is in Heaven. (Philippians 3:20)

We must remember that Satan rules this world (John 12:31), and he is a liar and thief looking to kill and destroy (John 10:10) so anybody who loves this world does not love God (1 John 2:15) Therefor we not try to conform to the ways of this world but renew our minds through Christ (Romans 12:2)

Satan will promise you power and Kingdoms of this world, just as he offered Jesus in the wilderness (Matthew 4:8) But remember the things of this world are temporary and Gods kingdom are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18) Also remember Satan is a liar, just as he lied to Adam and Eve from the very beginning and told them they surely won’t die (Genesis 3:4) he is also lying to you.

Our riches are in heaven and not of this world , where they can’t be stole or destroyed by anyone (Matthew 6:20) Because Gods Kingdom is eternal and we are his children (Romans 8:15) through Jesus Christ by the blood of The Lamb Amen

Seed of Faith

It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches.” Luke 13:19

If we could see your faith, would it be a strong tree with deep roots? Or would it be a flower withering away under the sun? The Word of God is the seed (Luke 8:11) And when we truly hear Gods word and listen, its takes root into our hearts and our faith begins to grow

Rooted and build up in Jesus , strengthened in the faith as we were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness (Colossians 2:7)

Jesus taught us about several scenarios when people hear the Word of God : Satan is always trying to distract us and remove the seed before it takes root (Matthew 13:4)

  1. Some people accept the Word of God but as soon as a trial comes along their faith falls apart because they don’t have deep roots (Matthew 13:5-6)
  2. Other people lose their faith because of the negative influences around them become stumbling blocks (Matthew 13:7)
  3. Others produce deep roots and grow strong faith in God and live a fruitful life (Matthew 13:8)

So which are you? Is your faith in God deep enough to withstand trials? Or does your faith wither?

For the grass whithers and the flowers fall, but the Word of God endures forever (Isaiah 40:80 in Jesus Name Amen

Stumbling Block

Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. Romans 14:13

Are you a stumbling block for others coming to Christ? Jesus has called us to be his disciples and spread the gospel to all the nations  (Mark 18:15) however many times we often push people  away from Christ because they don’t fit into our perception of what a Christian should be or look like

We must remember that Jesus came to save the world (John 3:16), everyone who calls upon Jesus shall be saved (Romans 10:16), and though Christ we are all one (Galatians 3:28) So its important for us to set aside our own egos or perceptions of what a Christian should be and let the Holy Spirit guide them to the cross.

We must remember that judgement is not our (Matthew 7:1) when we condemn others we are condemning ourselves. (Luke 6:37) Jesus has been given all power and authority by God (Matthew 28:18) its our job to lead people to Christ, and it’s Christ job to be the ultimate judge.

Does that mean we should be accepting of blasphemy or evil? Absolutely not! The Word of God was given to us for teaching, training, correcting and rebuking (1 Timothy 3:16) Anyone who is filled with the Holy Spirit declares Jesus is Lord (1 Corinthians 12:3) Nobody who is filled with Demonic Spirits declares Jesus is Lord, therefor if a brother or sister is leading people to Christ, don’t be a stumbling block for them or thier ministry.  Remember we are all one body of Christ, there is only one God and one Heaven. Love your neighbor as you love yourself and you fulfilled the law of Christ(Galatians 5:14) in Jesus Name Amen

Free Indeed

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36

Are you truly free? Many people will answer yes because they live in a free country. However, this freedom cannot free you from the imprisonment of ourselves. Many are prisoners to their thoughts, worries, guilt, and addictions. However, there is true freedom in Jesus Christ (Galatians 5:1)

At the cross Jesus released the chains of everything that binds us, addictions, anxiety, anger, fear, hatred (Psalm 107:14) Jesus is the Truth, Life, and Way (John 14:6) and when you know the truth it shall set you free (John 8:32) Jesus bore all your sins and transgressions that imprisoned you and put them on his shoulders (Isaiah 53:4-5) Cast all your cares on him (1 Peter 5:7) and you will experience true freedom in Christ

Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand (Matthew 3:2) This is the key that will unlock your prison cell, without repentance there can be no salvation. If your tired of living as a prisoner to the traps that Satan has set for you (2 Timothy 2:26) then come to the cross, let your old self die and your new self (Ephesians 4:24) be resurrected with Christ (Romans 6:4) the Son has set you free in Jesus Name Amen
