Build On The Rock

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Matthew 7:24

Are you building your house on the rock or the sand? When the storms of life come, is your faith strong enough to withstand the storm? Jesus taught us that the Word of God is like building your house on the rock, this is because the Word of God never changes (Matthew 24:35) . The grass may whither but the Word of God will stand forever (Isaiah 40:8) Meaning God is the beginning and the end (Revelation 22:13) so we can put our trust in his Word because its eternal

What about the storms of life? No matter who you are, you’re going to face a trial and tribulation (John 16:33) Its how we respond to them that makes us who we are. These trials will prove the genuine of your faith ( 1 Peter 1:7) because faith without works is dead (James 2:14) So if your faith is never tested, how can you prove your genuine.

But those who don’t build their life on the Word of God, are like those who build on the sand (Matthew 7:26) when those same trials come, because they have no faith, there life quickly falls apart. See faith is the confidence of what we hope for (Hebrews 11:1) When we have strong faith, we can endure the storms of life in Jesus Name Amen

I like the theme of this post. I just want to point out in a friendly way, and I’m certainly not being argumentative or critical, something I saw. Your text is one of my favorites. I say this meekly, you quoted what Jesus said, and then you immediately misquoted him in your points. You correctly quoted Jesus, “Whoever hears these sayings of mine.” This is extremely specific and limited to the words that Jesus spoke. More specifically in this context, it is what he just finished saying, The Sermon on the Mount.” Chapters 5,6, and 7 of Matthew. You immediately changed what Jesus said, to the Word of God. So you took what Jesus specified as being just these three chapters, and to amplify, to ALL THE SAYINGS OF JESUS; and you now expand it to the entire Bible. Jesus came preaching and teaching the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven. His message is like no one else’s. Anyways this is only my humble opinion.
