Naked and Barefoot

At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot. Isaiah 20:2

God commanded the prophet Isaiah to walk around naked and barefoot. Why did God do this? What can we learn from this? God was using Isaiah as a sign, a warning against Egypt of what is about to happen to them.

The purpose of me sharing this story is to think about the devotion and dedication Isaiah has to God. Many people, even today, like to call themselves prophets, but how many people are willing to sacrifice everything they have to serve The Lord? How many of us are willing to walk around “Naked and Barefoot” if God had called us to?

And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia; Isaiah 20:3

For three years Isaiah walked around naked and barefoot, do you think he caught anyone’s attention? I’m sure most called Isaiah a fool and mocked him, but think about the revelations God had shown Isaiah due to his obedience. Isaiah wrote many prophecies about our Lord Jesus Christ about 700 years before he was sent.

So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt. Isaiah 20:4

Eventually the Egyptians were lead into captive, barefoot and naked, exactly the same way Isaiah walked around. Talk about a direct sign from God!  Just as when Noah was building the Ark and everyone mocked him , the same was with Isaiah

So whats my point? My point is take notice to Isaiah’s dedication and obedience to God, even when he was asked to do the unthinkable. To the temporary thinker they probably believe Isaiah lived a foolish life but to the Eternal thinker, we know Isaiah was blessed in Jesus Name Amen

Gods Purpose

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Recently me and my wife had just undergone a huge victory, a victory that couldn’t be possible without some divine intervention. The odds were definitely stacked against us and by human logic it seemed naive or ignorant to even think we would stand a chance of victory. However, our God is a just God, and when you stand against corruption and evil, our God will stand on our side

Just like this scripture said, whatever is meant for our harm God will use for our good. People try to attack us with lies and slander, but the truth always comes out. And when people keep digging their holes with lies eventually they fall into them. But put your trust in God and he will make it work out for your good!

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Romans 8:29-30

Just like God glorified his Son Jesus, he will also glorify you in due time if you remain faithful to his will and purpose. As Jesus said what does it profit to gain the whole world and lose your soul? Don’t buy into the lies and corruption of this world, because its all temporary and quickly failing

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

When you stay righteous in God , he will stand for you. And when the creator of the Heaven and The Earth does stand for you, who can stand against you? There is no greater power in the universe then our Heavenly Father, let him fight for you in Jesus Name Amen

Friends of Jesus

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  John 15:13

One of the great revelations Jesus has revealed to us is he is our friend, not just our master. This is why he was willing to lay down his life for you, because he loves you that much. When people understand that God is for us and not against us, it gives us a better understand of who Jesus is and that you are not alone

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. John 15:14

Again Jesus reinforces that you are his friend, however if you choose to follow the ways of Satan you can’t be his friend. Why? Because Satan has waged war on God and his kingdom, every sin that Satan has introduced into the world is to destroy and not prosper

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. John 15:15

How awesome is it that Jesus has revealed God to us and secrets of Heaven. Even though Jesus knew many would reject his truth, he revealed it anyway because we are his friends and he loves us enough to give us the truth.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16

Many times we often try to seek Jesus yet he has already chosen us. Jesus loves you and want you inherit eternal life through him. If you just accept Jesus into your heart, he will lead you to everlasting life. You have a friend in Jesus and he wants to ordain you today, reach out to him and he will give it to you in Jesus Name Amen

Cost Of Christianity

And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head. Luke 9:58

Are you really a disciple of Christ? Are you truly living for God or living for the world? Jesus gives us three harsh statements about what it truly means to be a Christian. At first your probably offended but when you truly think about what Jesus is teaching us it makes sense

First statement is about the lack of need for this world. We see so called Christian preachers living in mansions and driving fancy cars, is this what Jesus taught us? No prosperity gospel is a doctrine of Satan. God tells us anyone who loves this world is an enemy of God

Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but you go and preach the kingdom of God. Luke 9:60

Second statement seems even harsher, however when you truly believe and understand Jesus is the resurrection, Jesus is the Living Water, then it makes sense. We serve a God of the living not the dead, our souls don’t die because through Christ we have been giving eternal life. So the dead, who are those who reject Christ, let them mourn their death. Because we have victory through Jesus Christ who tasted death for us

And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62

And finally the third harsh statement, many of us want to be part time Christians. We want to worship Go d when it’s convenient but not interfere with our lifestyles. Jesus clearly is telling us were either all in or nothing. We can’t walk with God and hold hands with Satan. We must learn to be willing to sacrifice and be obedient to God

Now before you beat yourself up, if were being honest, were all guilty of these things. Jesus is teaching us what it takes to be a true disciple. The important thing is we truly in our heart strive to be what God calls us to be. When we fall, don’t give up on yourself, because God hasn’t given up on you either in Jesus Name Amen

Under The Law

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Romans 6:14

One thing I think a lot of people don’t understand is the grace and laws of God. Many misunderstood Paul and thought he was trying to teach that the Laws of God don’t exist anymore. This is because people didn’t understand the differences between Gods old and new covenant, flesh and spirit.

You see if we continue to live by the flesh, even today, we are subjected to the laws of God. But if we truly accept Jesus as our savior, and we truly live by the Holy Spirit, Jesus paid the physical ransom for us. If we live by the Spirit, we are no subjected to the law because a holy person doesn’t lust for things of the flesh

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Matthew 5:17

Jesus made it perfectly clear, he didn’t abolish the laws of God, but he fulfilled the scriptures becoming our Messiah and saving us from the wages of our sins. Those who believe they can break the laws of God and still receive his grace are blasphemous.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25

If we truly are reborn with Christ, then we need to live in the Spirit. You are the temple of God and the Holy Spirit will live in you, however if you continue to live by the flesh, The Holy Spirit can’t remain there. Remember Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the unforgivable sin according to Jesus

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, Hebrews 10:26

As God tells us if we continue to sin willfully after receiving God’s grace, there is no more redemption for us. Do we still make mistakes as Christians? of course we do, are we still forgiven? Of course as long as we are truly repentive and striving to live by The Holy Spirit. When we call ourselves Christians and still continue to live a sinful lifestyle, then you will no longer be covered under the blood of Christ but face the Laws of God in Jesus Name Amen

Press On

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14

God has a plan for us but it’s not going to come without some opposition. Satan wants to control and destroy you, whenever you’re on the right path to your divine destiny, that’s when he pushes back harder.

That’s why we need to continue to “Press On” towards the prize of Jesus Christ. Don’t let obstacles sidetrack you to your destiny. Keep pushing forward

All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Philippians 3:15

The way Satan attacks us is through mind games. He gets in your head, tells you your defeated, tells you your crazy, tells you your wasting your time. This is why we need to fill our minds with Christ, because he is our redeemer, he overcame the world including Satan

Only let us live up to what we have already attained. Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. Philippians 3:17

There is power in numbers, don’t walk alone. Make Jesus the center of your family and you can walk together to “Press On” to the prize! Be an example for those who are defeated or lost, and they will follow when they see the victory of Jesus Christ shining through you! Press On! Press on! Press On!
