Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. and a voice came out of the heavens: “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.” Mark 1:10-11
One of the great moments, when the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all came together to unite. The Son being baptized in the water, the Father declaring the Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit descending upon the Son.
You might ask why would the Son need the Holy Spirit if they are both God? Can an eternal God die? Of course not, that’s why Jesus lowered himself below the angels (Hebrews 2:9), to be born of a Virgin (Isaiah 7:14), and became Flesh (John 1:14) to die for the wages of our sins (Romans 3:23)
Why would Jesus become baptized if he is the Son of God? Jesus didn’t come to abolish The Law but to Fulfill The Law (Matthew 5:17) In order for Jesus to Fulfill The Law he needed to Complete the Law, Jesus came to Fulfill All Righteousness (Matthew 3:15)
“Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations. Isaiah 42:1
By Jesus allowing John to Baptize him, he is showing everyone the path to salvation. Remember Jesus never asked anything from us that he hasn’t already done. As John declares Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the Sins of the world, Jesus confirms it by allowing John to baptize him ( John 1:29)
Jesus who became human (John 1:14), then filled by the Holy Spirit was able to perform the works of The Father to bring salvation to the entire world Amen!
I admire the way you take complex biblical principles and make the accessible to all. A great gift from our Father.

Jesus submitted to baptism was to give an example of obedience to His followers! Jesus came into the world to identify with men and to identify with men is to identify with sin. Jesus who had no sin took His place among those who had no righteousness. He who was without sin submitted to a baptism for sinners. In this act the Savior of the world took His place among the sinners of the world. The sinless Friend of sinners was sent by the Father “in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin!
There was no other way to fulfill all righteousness!!!!
Shalom dear brother! ❤
