Rapture

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.  Matthew 24:36

Throughout history many people tried to predict the return of Jesus, there are some who even tried to claim he already came back. However Jesus told us only God knows the day and hour, anyone else making claims is clearly a false prophet.

Not even the angels in heaven know, so you know if anyone claiming to know this or was given a revelation, they are a false prophet

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24: 37-39

Jesus will return like a thief in the night, the time when nobody expects it. As Jesus teaches us here the world will keep going about their business not paying attention to what God has planned.

But notice the symbolism Jesus uses, “until the day Noah entered into the ark” What happened when Noah and family entered the ark? They were saved from the destruction of the world. What will happen when Jesus returns? We will be saved from the tribulation, which is the ultimate destruction of the world, hence Rapture.

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Matthew 24:40-41

Jesus teaches us more symbolism here, some people will be “taken” and some will be “left”. What is Jesus referring to? Obviously the Rapture, those who believe in Jesus will be saved from the tribulation. Those who reject Christ will face the judgement of God.

Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord does come. Matthew 24:42

As Jesus taught many times, we need to always be prepared for The Day of The Lord. Meaning you don’t want be unprepared when Jesus returns. If you’re holding off giving your life to Christ, tomorrow is not promised. Everyone who calls upon The Lord shall be saved, are you prepared?

Thanks for explaining this in a new light (esp. the reference to Noah). Reading Revelation alone, I could not quite point out when the rapture will happen–need to read the book next to Jesus’ references to it in the gospels, and the apostles’ in the their epistles (putting the pieces of the puzzle together!). I still have many questions in mind, but ‘need to organise them and list them all down. Perhaps one day I’ll ask for your help! Have a blessed day.

I came across your blog site and found your post an interesting read. The rapture is something that all true believers who have received salvation and is being lead by Grace (Jesus) have already experienced. The rapture in not some great end times war that occurs in the natural; it is in fact an glorious acceptance of God’s Holy Spirit as it marries our own spirit after we truly have accepted Jesus and put all of our trust in Him.

The rapture the Holy Bible speaks of means to lift up taken away in the Spirit, not the flesh. God only deals with us in the spirit because He is a Spirit John 4:24. Your body does not leave the earth, but your Spirit is lifted up and joined with God’s.

I have personally experienced “the rapture” myself over 4 years ago. Even though I was a believer in God and a very active church member, I was going through a very trying time in my life. I knew to pray to God because of bad Church teaching, I didn’t know what to do then. That’s when God encouraged me to listen to my Spirit, read the bible and learn about Him. I started studying and I could literally hear God’s voice teaching me, helping me to understand the scripture I was studying. I

The first thing I was led to do was to really and truly ask for and receive Salvation. I prayed for 3 days every chance I got, even at work, to myself. This is the prayer I prayed:

Pray this prayer every day or every time you feel depressed or bad about something.
PRAY: Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus is your son and that He died on the cross for my sins. I believe that Jesus is my Savior. I believe with all my heart that I am now saved according to your word. I will not be moved from this assurance of my salvation by what I see or feel. Your word says that I am saved, therefore I am saved. I thank you Jesus for your love and great mercy. I ask you to teach me how to think, speak and act according to your Word. I ask you Father in Jesus name. Amen.

God told me, “Now all you have to do is believe that you are saved, even if you don’t feel it, or have any evidence of it. Anytime you have doubt or start having negatives thoughts: say the prayer again as many times as it takes until you believe it. Because Jesus is righteous and you accepted Him as your Savior, now You are truly the Righteousness of God. If you have any fear or doubt, know that it is the enemy trying to get you to not believe. Tell the devil he is a liar and you only believe God’s Word. Jesus said “Only believe”. before my Father and before his angels.”

This is what God’s Spirit told me, so I just relaxed in complete faith and the knowledge that I was indeed saved. After 3 days of praying I literally, not physically though, felt Jesus sweep me up in his arms. It was the most freeing, joyful experience I have ever felt.

A few nights later while I was sleep, my own voice (spirit) woke me up singing my favorite song about Jesus. I was crying but it was tears of joy. Right then I knew my name was being written down in the book of life. Revelation 3:5 The one who conquers will thus be dressed in white garments, and I will by no means blot out his name from the book of life, but I will acknowledge his name

From that day forward I knew for a fact that I was an acceptable child of God that very moment and it will last for an eternity.

Since that day, I have began to write a book called “Road to Salvation”.. It’s a how-to book on how to live on this earth, sin free and in complete and utter joy.

The book is a work in progress (unfinished) but I would love to share some other revelations that God has blessed me with to understand. One deals with “Armageddon” or the end times.
Feel free to email me anytime if you have questions or would like to discuss God’s Word. Felisa 🙂

Being raptured is a totally individual process, not one great encompassing event.

It is done one person at a time, when that person has truly accepted God’s loving Word and Spirit in their heart and body. This is why the bible says, no man knows the hour or time. There are many and various different hours and times for all the true believers of Christ.

We are transformed, in spirit, when we have total faith in God and reject the evil of this world. It doesn’t happen when we die physically, we are transformed ‘in the tinkle of an eye. So are body looks the same, but our true self have been freed and is now being led by Jesus
