Revelation Chapter 14- The Lamb of God

Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. v1-2

The Lamb of God = Jesus Christ = clearly identified by the Apostle John

144k = The Jewish Remnant saved by Christ during the Tribulation

Jesus standing on Mt Zion = fulfillment of Zechariah = Christ will physically return to the Mt of Olives (Jerusalem)

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29

And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south. Zechariah 14:4

They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God v3-5

New Song = Song of Redemption= Song of Moses ect.

Throne of God = 4 Living Creatures + The Elders + The 144k

Spiritual Virgins = Born Again = Not defiled by the world

For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin. 2 Corinthians 11:2

Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” v6-7

Eternal Gospel being preached

We are now going to see a series of 3 angels who are going to give warnings to the entire world. “Fear God” is the core of their message, how far we have gotten away from this message even in our world today. “Judgement Has Come” time is up for all the wicked who have rejected God and continue to live in their immorality

Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” v8

Babylon = New World Order = False Religious/Pollical/Economic system of the Beast

Who or what is Babylon? You will read and hear a lot of different interpretations of it. My belief is Babylon is symbolic for the False Religion and Political system of the Anti Christ. We are even seeing it today, the False Religion of Babylon has invaded the Christian Church. Many Churches have fallen away from the true gospel and doctrine, Beware!

Look, here come the riders, horsemen in pairs.” And one answered, saying: “Fallen, fallen is Babylon! All the images of her gods lie shattered on the ground!” Isaiah 21:9

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! Galatians 1:8

Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” v9-11

Mark of The Beast = Spiritual and Physical = forehead and hand

You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. Deuteronomy 6;8

Hell = Fire and Brimstone = Torment forever and ever = No Rest

Here we see a warning from the 3rd and final Angel. Again we are seeing reference to the “Mark of The Beast”, I believe its more of a “spiritual” mark than a physical one. But notice anyone selling out to Satan will be thrown into the Lake of Fire! Be careful who or what you are worshipping or devoting your time to. This entire world is controlled by Satan and his empire Babylon.  Worship the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation!

This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: “Take from My hand this cup of the wine of wrath, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink from it. / And they will drink and stagger and go out of their minds, because of the sword that I will send among them.” / So I took the cup from the LORD’s hand and made all the nations drink from it, each one to whom the LORD had sent me, Jeremiah 25:15-17

And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire—where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched.’ Mark 9:47-48

Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.” v12-13

The key word for Christians left behind is “Endure”! Keep the commandments of God , Keep your Faith in Jesus Christ! God never promised are journey as Christians will be easy, but he did promise us ultimate victory in his Kingdom for eternity!

But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved Matthew 24:13

Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped. v14-16

Son of Man = Jesus Christ = Daniel 7

The Harvest is Here! The Son of Man (Jesus Christ) is coming with his angels to remove any remaining Christians from the Earth. Jesus is preparing for the Final Judgement of the Earth, the moment has finally arrived, don’t be left behind!

In my vision in the night I continued to watch, and I saw One like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into His presence. Daniel 7:13

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Matthew 9:37

Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.” v17-18

Christ is gathering His elect before the final judgement of the world

The symbolism of a harvest of grapes is key to understand the wrath and devastation of the wicked. Picture grapes being put through a winepress, this is the scene about to happen here on Earth

 

Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great. Joel 3:13

So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses’ bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs. v19-20

Wrath of God = judgement of the world

blood up to the horses bridles = 4ft deep of blood = river of blood for 200 miles = judgement of the wicked

Notice the symbolism of Gods Wrath here, Blood came up to the horses bridle. Meaning the amount of blood from all the corpses was deep enough to come up to the horses mouth (probably 5 feet deep)! And the river of blood flows 200 miles!

The wrath of God is real and coming! Make sure you are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ!

 

“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. Micah 3:2

Revelation Chapter 13- The Beast From The Sea

Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. v1-2

Beast = Anti-Christ

Sea = Nations

7 Heads = 7 Kingdoms (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, Final Kingdom)

10 Horns/10 Crowns = Kings/Rules  = Power and authority

Leopard = Greece = Swiftness

Bear = Medo/Persia = Strength

Lion = Babylon = Fierce

Dragon = Satan

 

We begin this scene with seeing the “Trinity of Satan” (Satan, AntiChrist , and False Prophet  We notice throughout the Bible, Satan try’s to copy or mimic God to fool the masses. The Ten Horns are the Ten Nations in unity against God. The Seven Heads are kings/leaders over time who wages war against God. We can speculate who all the nations and leaders are, we have a good idea who most of them are. But the point is to focus on the Anti Christ is a collective force of Evil, the Prophet Daniel had this same vision (Read Daniel Chapter 7)

 

Next, as I watched, suddenly another beast appeared. It was like a leopard, and on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and it was given authority to rule.After this, as I watched in my vision in the night, suddenly a fourth beast appeared, and it was terrifying—dreadful and extremely strong—with large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed; then it trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the beasts before it, and it had ten horns. Daniel 7:6-7

And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” v3-4

One of the Evil world leaders will be fatally wounded and then miracously recover. This will fool the masses , and a majority of the world will be misled into worshipping Satan. Notice again, Satan tries to copy God but mimicking the resurrection

Wounded Head = Revived Kingdom = New World Order

Worshipped Drago = Satan

‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ Isaiah 14:14

And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. v5-6

42 Months = 3.5 Years = The Great Tribulation

The Beast will continue to speak Blasphemy against God. And God will allow this to go on for almost 2 years of the Great Tribulation. Notice it says “ The Beast will speak blasphemy against those who dwell in Heaven” so there are already Christians in Heaven with God at this time

He will oppose and exalt himself above every so-called god or object of worship. So he will seat himself in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. 2 Thessalonians 2:5

He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time. Daniel 7:25

It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. v7-8

Satan and his demons are making war with Gods people – notice doesn’t say the Church, it states saints

Everyone who is not saved, will worship The Beast

The Lamb, Jesus Christ (John 1:29) who was slain at the cross, has given us victory over Satan and the world

 

May they be blotted out of the book of life And may they not be recorded with the righteous. Psalm 69:28

If anyone has an ear, let him hear. He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. v9-10

Remember Jesus said in Chapters 2 and 3, The Spirit says to the Churches” here there is no reference of the Church, same statement

Here Jesus is giving a final message to the Saints! Persecution on a great scale is coming, most likely death. However whatever happens to us , let it be done, because we are already free and victorious with Christ!

“Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. Matthew 24:9

Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. v11-13

Another Beast = False Prophet = False Religious System

2 Horns like a Lamb = Tries to mimic Christ = A False Christ

Speaks like the Dragon = Satan

Notice this Beast (False Prophet) will look like a Lamb (Christ) This False Prophet will deceive the entire world and get everyone to worship Satan. Notice Satan tries to copy God again by performing miracles to deceive the masses

For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will m islead many. Matthew 24:5

And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed v14-15

Make an image of the Beast = Image comes to Life = Artificial Intelligence?

Notice this miracle performed by the False Prophet, a statue of Satan will be made and the False Prophet will make it come to life. The entire world will be deceived and worship Satan.

This is a good reminder that not all spiritual power comes from God, as the Bible tells us “Test all Spirits to see if they are from God”

that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 2 Thessalonians 2:9

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. v16-18

Mark of the Beast = physical and spiritual = not sealed with the Holy Spirit

666 = Demonic Trinity = 6 = man

What is the Mark of The Beast? This subject has been highly debated for centuries. Obviously we are living in the technological age, so it could be a microchip implant. However I believe the “Mark” is your alliance in your heart, mind, and soul to Satan.

As Christians we are sealed by the Holy Spirit, covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, those who follow Satan will probably be marked by Satan. I believe its more of a spiritual thing than a physical thing.

Who is 666? Remember the number 6 is symbolic for man, three 6’s is the Trinity of Satan (Satan, Anti-Christ, False Prophet) Its most likely not one individual by the entire evil empire of Satan

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation– having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13

4“Hear, O Israel: [b]The Lord our God, the Lord is one! 5You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

6“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6

Revelation Chapter 12- The Woman and The Dragon

Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. v1-2

First of 7 Signs

Who is this symbolic woman? I believe it’s the nation of Israel. Notice the 12 stars on her crown are the 12 tribes of Israel…Notice She (Israel) was with Child (Jesus Christ) Lets not forget Jesus is the Lion of Judah…even though he came to save the whole world, he came from Israel

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. v3

The Great Red Dragon is Satan himself, and on the Beast was 7 heads and horns representing the nations/kingdoms and rulers/kings who follow Satan and persecute Jews and Christians because of him Notice the word diadems for crowns meaning power/royalty

10 Horns = Future Kingdoms

“After this I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrifying and extremely strong; and it had large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed and trampled down the remainder with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. Daniel 7:7

His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. v4

The 1/3rd of Stars from Heaven are the Fallen Angels that have followed Satan to wage war on God and Jesus Christ. Notice throughout time Satan has been trying to kill the Messiah but never succeeded.  He killed Abel in the Garden, He tried to kill Moses,  He tried to kill David, He even tried to kill Jesus when he was born through Herod.

Devour Her Child = Jesus Christ

Then when Herod saw that he had been tricked by the magi, he became very enraged, and sent and slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the magi Matthew 2:16

She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. v5

This describes Jesus Christ exactly…Jesus is the King of Kings who will rule the world with a rod of iron..who also sits at the right hand of the Father

Caught Up To God = Ascension of Christ

AND HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON, AS THE VESSELS OF THE POTTER ARE BROKEN TO PIECES, as I also have received authority from My Father; Revelation 2:27

So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. Mark 16:19

Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. v6

The woman who fled is the persecution being suffered during the tribulation. 1,260 days is the 3.5 years of the tribulation. The 7 year tribulation is divided into 2 parts based on the “abomination that causes desolation” Daniel prophecies about this and then Jesus confirms his prophecy. The second half of the tribulation will be even worse than the first half

Wilderness = Before The Restoration of Israel

“And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.” Daniel 9:27

Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), Matthew 24:15

And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. v7-9

In this scene we see Satan and his Fallen Angels been thrown out of Heaven forever. The angels led by Michael the Arc Angel. Because of this many falsely believe Michael and Jesus being the same person. Make no mistake about it, Jesus is the name above all names, the only begotten (meaning unique) Son

“Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. Daniel 12:1

So He told them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven Luke 10:18

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” v10-12

Woe To The Earth

Notice God says “Because of the Blood of The Lamb, we have Overcome! Shows you just how much power there is in Jesus Christ. By his blood shed at the cross, we have become victorious over Satan and death. Now God declared Satans time is short on Earth, his final destination (Lake of Fire) is coming soon!

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. v13-14

Great persecution is now being caused by Satan on the Church because Christ has overcome him. The two wings of the great eagle is the same that God saved the Jewish people from Egypt. Satans time is running out, and this is his last effort destroy souls

Satan persecuting Israel and the Church

You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to Myself. Exodus 19:4

So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. v15-17 

The Flood can be great armies of the Earth coming to destroy Israel, but God offers Israel divine protection

God Saves Israel – Romans 11

 

You stretched out Your right hand, and the earth swallowed them up. Exodus 15:12

Revelation Chapter 11- The Two Witnesses

Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months. v1-2

What is John measuring here? Could this be the prophecy of the 3rd Temple to be built in Jerusalem? Or could this be “New Jerusalem” that will be coming down from Heaven?  The same vision  is also confirmed by prophets Ezekiel and Zechariah

This is most likely the 3rd Temple being built during the Tribulation period. As later in Revelation, its revealed Jesus is The Temple  (Revelation 21:22)

Also 42 months is 3.5 years , which would be half of the 7 year Tribulation period

So He brought me there; and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a line of flax and a measuring rod in his hand; and he was standing in the gateway. Ezekiel 40:3

Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, there was a man with a measuring line in his hand. Zechariah 2:1

And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.” These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire v3-6

Who are the 2 Witnesses? Many have speculated who they are, I believe it will be Moses and Elijah. Why? Because Moses represents The Law and Elijah represents the prophets. This is why Jesus met them at the transfiguration

Elijah had the power to shut Heaven (James 5:17-18) Moses had the power to turn water into blood (Exodus 7:20)

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. Matthew 5:17

Notice the symbolism of the 2 Lampstands or 2 Olive Trees, they are filled with Oil, Oil is always symbolic for the Holy Spirit. These men will preach the Word of God to the entire world before the final Woe or 7th Trumpet is sounded

And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Matthew 17:3

When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. v7-10

The Beast (Anti-Christ) ascends from the bottomless pit to make war

The Anti-Christ will eventually kill the 2 witnesses and the wicked who are left in the world will celebrate. There dead bodies will lay in the streets for 3 and half days. But how does the entire world view their dead bodies? Today this is simple, with smart phones and social media, just more proof we are living in the last days. There dead bodies will be streamed live to everyone’s phone while the wicked rejoice and celebrate

Spiritual Sodom and Egypt- where The Lord was crucified = Jerusalem

As Daniel prophesied , during the End Times Knowledge will Increase, we are seeing this today with technology and social media

“But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.” Daniel 12:4

Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. v11-12

Breathe of Life enters the 2 Witnesses – The Spirit of God

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7

The 2 Witnesses are then “resurrected”  and “raptured” after 3 and half days of death. Imagine watching this live on your smart phone. Breaking News 2 prophets killed have now come back to life! And then there were ascended back to the Father! What a powerful scene, surely everyone left on Earth will be terrified and should be!

When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.” John 11:43

In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly. v13-14

2nd Woe is past- 3rd Woe is coming!

Notice after this massive earthquake that killed 7 thousands of people, the wicked on the Earth have now given Glory to God! Again people would ask, why would God do these judgements? Because its saving souls! Many people have hardened their hearts so much, that it will take a natural disaster for them to repent

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” v15

7th Angel proclaims the Kingdom of God, Satan has been completely defeated

The Kingdom of the world now belongs to God again, evil will be completely purged and eliminated. The setting up for the New Heavens and Earth is coming!

Arise, O God, judge the earth! For it is You who possesses all the nations. Psalm 82:8

And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: “We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned. v16-17

24 elders = 12 Tribes of Israel + 12 Apostles

And the worship service continues, notice it says “You (God) have begun to reign” Meaning evil is finally being abolished from the Earth. Anyone who wants to continue to live in Sin will not be doing so in Gods Kingdom

If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, Colossians 2:20

The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.” v18

Jesus is setting up his “Great White Throne of Judgement” which will be talked about in a later chapter. Stay tuned! Also its mentioned how its time to reward all those who served God throughout the years!  (Judgment Seat of Christ 2 Corinthians 5:10)

And many who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, but others to shame and everlasting contempt. Daniel 12:2

Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail. v19

The Temple of God in Heaven has been revealed, what does this mean? We are drawing closer to the time when Heaven and Earth come together to form the new Paradise or Kingdom. The Ark of Covenant is his Law. Gods Law still rules in the minds and hearts of all those who will be in Gods Kingdom! The Awesomeness of God and his Kingdom cant even be fully described, the power and majesty!

THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM,” He then says, Hebrews 10:16

Revelation Chapter 10- The Little Book

I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices. v1-3

We begin this chapter with “another strong angel” coming down from heaven. Many believe this is Christ himself however it clearly says its “another angel”. Notice a Rainbow was on his head, what do we know about the Rainbow? It was the covenant God made with humanity from the judgement of the flood. The covenant is clearly still on the mind of God and he wants everyone to become saved

What are the 7 peals of thunder? Remember 7 is the number of completion in the Bible. Thunder is typically symbolic of judgement. The original Greek word for “thunder” is bronte which also means “to roar” So the 7 peals of thunder are loud yells of judgement to the world

Above the expanse over their heads was the likeness of a throne with the appearance of sapphire, and on the throne high above was a figure like that of a man. / From what seemed to be His waist up, I saw a gleam like amber, with what looked like fire within it all around. And from what seemed to be His waist down, I saw what looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded Him. / The appearance of the brilliant light all around Him was like that of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell facedown and heard a voice speaking. Ezekiel 1:26-28

Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.” v4

Whatever was spoken during the “7 Peals of Thunder” it has been sealed up by God Almighty. We can’t even begin to speculate what was said, because these words have been sealed and not revealed anywhere in the Bible.

The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer, but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets. v5-7

When the 7th and final Trumpet sounds, the mystery of God is finished! What does this mean? What is about to be revealed by God? I think this is the final warning by God for sinners! Its time to repent and be saved through Jesus Christ, after this trumpet will be the seven bowls of wrath poured out onto the Earth

Notice the angel says “there will be delay no longer” many question why didn’t Jesus return yet. Because God wants everyone to be saved! He is delaying his wrath as long as possible, however people just never want to repent. The time is running out!

Then the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again and said, “Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the earth.” So I went to the angel and said to him, “Give me the little book.” And he said to me, “Take and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth.” Then  I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter. v8-10

The little book that was in the angels hand was given to John. Why was the book bitter and sweet? First off let’s be clear, the message in this little book was the Word of God. The Word of God is very sweet to those who understand its salvation and redemption. However those who reject God and his word, we know the bitterness of his wrath and judgement! This makes the Word of God very bittersweet

How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalm 119:103

 

“Son of man,” He said to me, “eat what you find here. Eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel.” / So I opened my mouth, and He fed me the scroll. / “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat and fill your stomach with this scroll I am giving you.” So I ate, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. Ezekiel 3:1-3

And he said to me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.” v11

This is setting the stage for the 2 Witnesses that we will see later in Revelation. They will preach the Truth to the entire world! But also us, since we are digesting the prophecy here in Revelation, we need to witness to the entire world before its too late!

But you, Daniel, shut up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will roam to and fro, and knowledge will increase.” Daniel 12:4

Revelation Chapter 9- The Bottomless Pit

Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. v1

This Chapter we begin the start of the “3 Woes” things are going to get very bad for whoever is left on the Earth. The 5th Trumpet has sounded, and a “Star” from Heaven  is thrown down to Earth. What is this Star? The correct question is Who is This Star?

The Star is reference to Satan himself, being cast down to Earth and given permission to open the Abyss (bottomless pit)

How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! Isaiah 14:12

And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Luke 10:18

And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. v2-3

Satan now on the Earth and has opened the Abyss (Bottomless Pit) What is the Abyss? It’s a holding cell for demons. We remember the story when Jesus cast out the demons of Legion, they begged him not to send them into the Abyss (Bottomless Pit) I believe the Abyss is also referred to as Hades

We see the demons described as Locusts coming out of the ground. Have you every accidently uncovered a bees nest or something similar? I have recently and I can understand what John is trying to describe here. There are so many demons, that they are being released in swarms. What a scary sight, the Earth is covered with Demons and Satan himself

 

And they begged Jesus repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss. Luke 8:31

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell (Tartarus) (Bottomless Pit) and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment; 2 Peter 2:4

They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. v4-5

Seal of God = Holy Spirit

Anyone who is not sealed by the Holy Spirit, the Demons are permitted to torture you for 5 months. As bad as this sounds, the fact that the Holy Spirit is still on the Earth, means that people still have a chance to repent and come to salvation through Christ

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation– having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13

You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. Deuteronomy 6:8

In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them. v6

Understand Jesus decides who lives and dies, Christ holds the keys to Hades and Death, many will seek death and won’t even find it!

I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. Revelation 1:8

The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle.They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months. v7-10

Here we see the Demons described:

  • Horses prepared for Battle Terrifying and intimidating. I would guess they are rather large and strong
  • Faces of Men Meaning highly intelligent..Demons are very intelligent…this is why the world is so easily deceived
  • Hair of Women Meaning physically beautiful…remember Demons/Angels are beautiful creatures not how we portray them…they can be very deceiving
  • Breastplates of Iron Meaning they are indestructible to us….those left won’t be able to kill them or fight them off
  • Tails of Scorpions They have been given the authority to torment anyone who is not sealed by the Holy Spirit

The prophet foretells about this army of locusts before the Day of The Lord

Their appearance is like that of horses, and they gallop like swift steeds. / With a sound like that of chariots they bound over the mountaintops, like the crackling of fire consuming stubble, like a mighty army deployed for battle. Joel 2:4-5

And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon. One woe is past. Behold, still two more woes are coming after these things. v11-12

The demons even have a King over them (Apollyon) to keep them in line. And the demons are only permitted to torture and not kill

Abaddon/Apollyon means destruction or destroyer. Is this angel Satan himself or the Anti Christ? I don’t think so, remember the Bible never teaches that Satan controls Hell or anything. God is always in control, I believe this angel is under Gods authority

This completes only the 1rst Woe and the 5th Trumpet

 

And as I observed, I heard an eagle flying overhead, calling in a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the remaining three angels! Revelation 8:13

Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” v13-14

The 6th Trumpet has sounded and the 2nd Woe will begin.  What is symbolic of the Euphrates River? Its been an important river through the Bible, it was a river in the Garden of Eden and also a River that divided the “Promise Land” to the nation of Israel. The Euphrates is the dividing line for Armageddon. When this river dries up it will enables the enemies of Israel to cross over and attack them..stay tuned

4 Angels + 4 Corners of the Earth = Entire World = 4 Horsemen (Revelation 6)

 

So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. v15-16

More Demons are released, and it’s says about 200 million of them! Think about that staggering number. And these demons didn’t come to just torment, they came to Kill this time. They kill 1/3 of mankind that is left on the Earth! Think about that we could be talking about millions maybe billions of people

For at that time there will be great tribulation, unseen from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again. / If those days had not been cut short, nobody would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be cut short. Matthew 24:21-22

And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone. By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed—by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths. For their power is in their mouth and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents, having heads; and with them they do harm. v17-19

Not only are these demons terrifying to look at, but they are also powerful and deadly. They obviously have more power and authority then the first batch of demons. They kill 1/3 of mankind with fire and brimstone!

Notice the color of the Horsemen Red, Blue, Yellow

Heads of Lions = power in their mouths/words

Tails like serpents = torment

But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts. v20-21

However despite all the death and destruction, there are still many people who will not repent! People may wonder why God would send all these plagues and demons, because God wants us all to be saved! He wants us all to repent and come to Jesus Christ!

Note original Greek word for Sorceries is Pharmakea which is where we get the word Pharmacy. There is a demonic deception and influence with drugs, beware as it alters the mind

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Revelation Chapter 8- The 7 Trumpets

When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. v1

Finally, the 7th and final seal is Broken. Notice this Seal is complete silence in Heaven, just like a Sabbath of Seals. God rested on the 7th day of Creation, there is a break/silence on the 7th seal of the great tribulation. This marks the beginning of the next phase of judgement, natural disasters,  the 7 trumpets

Half an hour- a short amount of time

(Remember from previous chapters, 7 is symbolic for completion)

In this Chapter we will only see the first 4 Trumpets sounded

And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. v2-4

In this scene we see the 7 Angels (who represented the 7 Churches) and the 7 trumpets that are now given to them. Each trumpet will represent a different judgement/natural disaster upon the Earth, some of them are very similar to the plagues of Egypt. We will break them down in more detail as we go along.

Remember our prayers are collected by God and released like a sweet-smelling incense. Just think of all your heartfelt prayers to God are not only heard but are being collected and used to glorify God!

May my prayer be counted as incense before You; The lifting up of my hands as the evening offering. Psalm 141:2

Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. v5-6

The censer filled with all our prayers is now thrown down to Earth to begin massive judgement of the wicked and evil. Now all that is left is judgment for the wicked!

Notice the similarities between the Trumpets judgements and the plagues of Egypt

The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up. v7

The 1rst Trumpet,  1/3rd of the entire Earth is scorched! Imagine this scene, we see the wildfires going on in California, imagine 33% of the Earth is on fire! No green grass is left on the entire Earth! Its beginning to look like Hell on Earth already. Compared to the fire and brimstone God sent down on the Earth during the plagues of Egypt

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt. Exodus 9:23

Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. v8-9

The 2nd Trumpet, 1/3rd of the sea turns to Blood! 33% of everything living in the sea dies! Again very similar to the plagues of Egypt.

So Moses and Aaron did even as the LORD had commanded. And he lifted up the staff and struck the water that was in the Nile, in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, and all the water that was in the Nile was turned to blood. The fish that were in the Nile died, and the Nile became foul, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile. And the blood was through all the land of Egypt. Exodus 7:20-21

Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter. v10-11

The 3rd Trumpet is sounded, and now 1/3rd of all the fresh drinking water is contaminated. A great star named “Wormwood” is thrown into the water and poisons it, so what is Wormwood? Wormwood is a popular bitter herb , even still used today. So when you say “Wormwood” people generally associate it to “Bitterness”. However as we read, the water are not only Bitter but Poisonous. This will cause great distress among the Earth

Wormwood a “star” is probably a demon

And when they came to Marah, they could not drink the water there because it was bitter. (That is why it was named Marah.) / So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?” Exodus 15:23

Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night. v12

The 4th Trumpet is sounded, and darkness is cast upon the Earth, as the Sun, Moon, and 1/3rd of all stars are struck. Again this is very similar to the plague in Egypt where God cast darkness upon Egypt for 3 days.

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even a darkness which may be felt.” Exodus 10:21

And I looked, and I heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, “Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!” v13

The ending of this Chapter is very interesting, the finally 3 Trumpets are known as the 3 Woes because of this warning upon the Earth. The word “Woe” in the Bible is often used to describe a Judgement that is beyond description. Jesus used the warning of Woe throughout his Ministry

As bad as the first 4 Trumpets were, the last 3 Trumpets (Woes) are going to be even worse! Get Ready!

Notice the reference to the Triune God, Woe, Woe, Woe, and Holy Holy Holy!

And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!” Isaiah 6:3

Revelation Chapter 7- The 144 Thousand

After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” v1-3

4 Angels- 4 Corners of the Earth meaning the entire world

And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. Matthew 24:31

We begin with this scene, the angels who were given permission to open the seals of judgement, have now been given orders to cease. The good news here is we can see, that many people have become saved through the tribulation! God is going to “seal the bond-servants on their foreheads” , meaning they will be sealed with the Holy Spirit and granted eternal life

And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed: of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed. v4-8

The 144,000 mentioned here is a very highly debated topic among Christians. Its very clear from the text that these men are all Jewish from the 12 tribes of Israel. These are Jews who have accepted Christ during the Tribulation period

Many groups like to claim that they are the 144,000 the Jehovah Witnesses, The Mormons, even Islam has claimed this right. But the Bible makes it clear these are the 12 tribes of Israel. Make no mistake about it, God is not finished with the Jewish people or Israel

Notice all of these men are sealed by the Holy Spirit also

And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” v9-10

So while the 144K are saved Jews, the Great Multitude are obviously Gentiles, (all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues) And notice the location (standing before the throne) which is Heaven

Another interesting note is the parallels between this event and Palm Sunday, the great crowd, waving Palm Branches to Jesus (Lamb) shouting Salvation (Hosanna)

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus Galatians 3:28

All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” v11-12

Everyone is around the throne (angels, four living creatures, elders) worshipping God! Heaven is an eternal worship service!

And they were calling out to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Hosts; all the earth is full of His glory.” Isaiah 6:3

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. v13-14

The answer is confirmed on who is the “Great Multitude”, “they are the one who come out of the great tribulation and accepted Jesus Christ”.  Why would God allow a great tribulation? Because many people will come to Christ and gain eternal life through it!

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. Acts 20:28

Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” v15-17

The Lamb, Jesus Christ, will be our Shepherd and give us the Living Water, where we will thirst no more! Again notice the continual worship of God, they served him day and night! Heaven is more than just about eternal life, its about being in the presence of your Creator, your Heavenly Father, your Lord and God, your Redeemer, do you want to be in his presence?

Jesus answered, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst. John 6:35

 

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Matthew 5:6

Revelation Chapter 6- Seals of God

Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.” And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. v1-2

The Lamb of God (Jesus Christ) has now broken the 1rst of 7 Seals of Judgment

The Great White Horse is released, who is on the Great White Horse? Many will falsely believe its Jesus himself, but it’s actually the Anti-Christ looking to deceive and destroy the entire world. Notice he has a bow instead of a sword (Word of God) The white horse is symbolic of war, the Anti-Christ is coming to deceive the entire world and destroy them. Notice he’s also wearing a crown which is symbolic of great authority or power

You will notice the parallels between the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21) and Revelation 6

“For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. Matthew 24:5-6

When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.”Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword. v3-4

The 2nd Seal is broken! The Second Seal is a Red Horse which equals War! Notice it says this Horse has the authority to “Take Peace” from the world. There will be death and war like has never been seen before! A great sword has been given to him meaning “Great power to destroy humanity”

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come. / Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  Matthew 24:6-7

When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” v5-6

The 3rd Seal is now broken, the black horse represents “Famine”. A denarius equals a days wages, so its saying food is going to become very scarce. Its going to be very costly to feed you and your family. The people who are left on the Earth will suffer greatly.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. Matthew 24:7

When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. v7-8

 

Now the 4th Seal is broken, this seal , this horse is described as a pale green is representative of Death! Because of the great wars and famines, many people will die. It says over 25% of the population of the Earth will be immediately wiped out. There is nearly 8 billion people on this Earth, so imagine 2 Billion people immediately wiped out. This is how devastating this judgment will be on the Earth

“Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. Matthew 24:9

When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed. v9-11

The 5th Seal is broken, and this is the martyred souls for Christ, the Tribulation Saints! Despite how bad the Tribulation will be, many people will be saved during the Tribulation including Jew and Gentile

Then they will deliver you over to be persecuted and killed, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. Matthew 24:9

I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. v12-14

The 6th Seal is broken, and a great earthquake as never seen before will happen to the world and will destroy a majority of the planet. Not only that , the moon will turn blood red, meteors striking the Earth. Total chaos and terror happening, such as Sodom and Gomorrah , to those left on the Earth

Immediately after the tribulation of those days: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’ Matthew 24:29

 

And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” v15-17

No matter who you are, rich or poor, man or woman, black or white, doesn’t matter. If you are still alive on the Earth at this time, you will face the Judgement of God. People will try to escape the presence of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords , Jesus Christ. But its too late, The Lion of Judah has returned for Judgement! Who can stand in the Day of The Lord?

Men will go into caves of the rocks And into holes of the ground Before the terror of the LORD And the splendor of His majesty, When He arises to make the earth tremble. Isaiah 2:19

  • 1rst Seal – Anti-Christ
  • 2nd Seal – War
  • 3rd Seal- Famine
  • 4th Seal – Death
  • 5th Seal – Tribulation Saints
  • 6th Seal – Natural Disasters

 

 

 

 

Revelation Chapter 5- The Lamb of God

And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. v1

In this Chapter, we really see the Apostle John describe Jesus as the Lamb of God (John 1:29) The theme which he introduced in his gospel by inspiration of the Holy Spirit

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29

And notice the reference to the “right hand” this is always symbolic of all power and authority

 

Notice 7 Seals, again the number 7 which is symbolic for completion. These seals are going to begin the judgement of the world

Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?”And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. v2-3

The time has come to open the “Book of Life” is your name written in it? As we will learn more later, only those whos name has not been removed from the Book of Life will inherit eternal life. Notice nobody’s name is added to the Book of Life only removed. Meaning we are born innocent (children, mentally disabled) until we become corrupted with sin

Nobody is worthy to open this Book of Life or the Seven Seals, in Heaven and on Earth, except One (Jesus Christ)

Another note is the scroll, is like a contract, and it has 7 seals, which are the 7 judgements, that will be opened only by Christ

so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth Philippians 2:10

So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” v4-5

Apostle John begins to weep because Nobody is worthy to open the Book of Life or the 7 Seals, however an elder in Heaven reminds John, that Jesus Christ is worthy and able!

Notice the titles given to Jesus “Lion of Judah” and “Root of David”

The Lion of Judah was a prophecy fortold by Jacob to his Son Judah. His son Judah would have a tribe and the Scepter (King of Kings) would come from the line. Notable King David was from this line and then the King of Kings Jesus Christ

Jesus first came as the Lamb and now he is coming back as the Lion to restore Gods Kingdom!

Judah is a lion’s whelp; From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He couches, he lies down as a lion, And as a lion, who dares rouse him up? “The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes, And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples. Genesis 49:9-10

And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. v6

The Lamb of God who is Jesus Christ. Notice Christ is displayed as being slayed. Jesus Christ is worthy to open the Book of Life and the 7 Seals because he defeated Sin and Death at the Cross

Also the Holy Spirit (7 Spirits of God) which is described as 7 horns (power and authority) and 7 eyes (all seeing) with also with the Lamb (Jesus Christ) and The Father is at the throne. An amazing scene of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all together at Once!

The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29

Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. v7-8

Notice in this scene “He (Jesus) came and took the book out of the right hand of Him (Father) who sat on the throne

We also see again the 24 Elders and 4 Living Creatures, all fell down (worshipped) The Lamb Jesus Christ

An amazing scene of all authority and power given to Jesus Christ! Notice everyone bows before The Lamb (Jesus) Anyone who tells you Jesus shouldn’t be worshipped needs to study this Chapter!

Another observation, all the prayers of Saints (Christians) are incense to God. Every time you heartfully pray, you are sending up sweet aroma (incense) to God

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Matthew 28:18

And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.” v9-10

The worship service for Jesus Christ continues, as all 24 elders and 4 living creatures, all bow down and worship Jesus , while singing a beautiful song! As the blood of Jesus Christ has delivered us all , allowed us to join Gods Kingdom, and become priests for God!

you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5

Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.” Revelation 5:11-12

The worship service just got larger, as myriads of myriads (countless) number of angels surround Jesus and worship him, and sing the beautiful song “Worthy is the Lamb”!

The Lamb of God , which was prophesied by Isaiah over 700 years before Christ was born!

He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth Isaiah 53:7

And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!” Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever. v13-14

The worship service just continues to grow and grow, as not only is all of Heaven worshipping Jesus Christ, but now everything that was created in heaven, Earth, and even under the earth!

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, / and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10-11

What a powerful scene and Chapter! There are a couple things you can take way from this Chapter.

  • We see the confirmation of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) as three distinct persons all at the throne
  • Jesus Christ redeemed all of humanity who accepts him at the cross and will reestablish Gods Kingdom
  • Jesus is worthy and will be worshiped and praised everywhere by everyone and everything!
