Romans 9- Election

Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son. And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. Romans 9:6-13

One of the great questions or mysteries about Israel, is how can they be Gods people when the majority of them reject Christ? The Apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit addresses this topic right here. Paul brings up the topic of election, which is a concept throughout the Bible, however I think most Christians don’t understand the concept of election. The late Dr. Michael Heiser I think did a great job explaining election, I would highly recommend you check out his work. The summary is, just because you are elect doesn’t mean your automatically saved!

There are many examples, but lets look at the example of the “Rebellion of Korah” (Numbers 16, a priest named Korah lead a rebellion against Moses and challenged his spiritual authority. The punishment was severe, as God opened up the ground and swallowed all 250 men destroying them. These rebellions of Korah were Israelites, they were part of the Exodus, they were elect, yet they all lost their salvation because of their disobedience to God. We can look at Angels, another elect group, where many lost their salvation due to disobedience to God (Jude 1:6)

So its important to understand election doesn’t automatically equal salvation. You can be elected and still lose your soul. You need to be Born Again in Christ (John 3:3) Salvation is only found in Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12) So when were talking about Israel is elect, they are the chosen people of God, we are not saying they are all going to be saved. Obviously there is no salvation outside of Jesus Christ, however they have been elected to fulfill a purpose! Election caused many to great jealousy, as the Jews are jealous of the Church and the Church is jealous of Israel (Romans 11:11) You can’t allow that jealousy to reject the Word of God!

The Apostle Paul gives another great example of election, Jacob and Esau, God hated Esau, why? Well Esau sold his birthright (Genesis 25:29-34) Esau despised his birthright, it was a heart issue, Esau hated God, he was disobedient and lost his salvation. Esau was the firstborn, He should have inherited everything, He should have been a patriarch of Israel, however his disobedience to God lost his salvation! Amen!

Romans 9- Anti-Semitism

I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 9:1-5

Anti-semitism, which is the hatred of Jewish people, has been a problem since the beginning of the world. Once God anointed a chosen race of people (Deuteronomy 7:6) Satan and his demons have been trying to annihilate his people since the beginning. Think about even in the history of the Bible, Pharaoh tried to wipe out the Hebrews boys including Moses (Exodus 1:22), Haman tried to wipe out all the Jewish people (Esther 3:5-15), even when Jesus was born, King Herod tried to wipe out all the Jewish boys (Matthew 2:16-18)

Look at our more modern history, of course the Holocaust , where Hitler killed over 6 million Jews, trying to exterminate the race. Even today, the Jewish people are continually under attack by Hamas and other Islamic Terrorist groups, murdering and raping innocents Jewish people. Most recently our state governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiros, home was bombed  by a man on Passover, trying to kill his entire family, why? Simply because he was Jewish. Anti-Semitism is a demonic force that has been in the world since the beginning, most people don’t even know why they hate the Jewish people, because its demonic influence.

Sadly, even in the Christian Church, Anti-Semitism is at an all time high. As I write this article, many professed “Christians” will write me off as a “Zionist” or deceived because I believe what scripture says that the Jews are Gods chosen people. The Apostle Paul here in our text this morning, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, states the Jews are Gods Chosen people. In fact, in the next 3 chapters, Paul make a strong case that Israel and the Church are not the same group, and one day Christ will come back to save his remnant (Romans 11)

The Apostle Paul shows his humility and love for the Jewish people by stating “for I wish myself accursed from Christ for my brethren” If Paul could give up his salvation for the sake of the Jewish people , he would, but obviously we are not God. But the love for the Jewish people is very prominent in Pauls writings, who is a Jew himself. If there is any question who Paul is talking about , he makes it clear “my kinsmen according to my flesh, who are the Israelites” Paul is addressing the issue of the Jewish people need for Christ!

The Apostle Paul makes a very strong point “of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all” Our Lord Jesus Christ became flesh through Israel, through the Jewish people. To hate the Jewish people is to hate Christ himself. This text sets the tone for the next 3 chapters in which the Apostle Paul will explain Gods future plan for the Jewish people, Amen!

Romans 3- Light To The Gentiles

What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged Romans 3:1-4

Many people quote the previous scriptures (Romans 2:28-29) to support their idea that God is done with the Jewish people. However if you continue in Pauls teaching here in Romans 3, you see that is not the case. As we learned you can never be saved by trying to “Keep The Law” or your own works such as circumcision, you must be Born Again in Christ, (John 3:3)  you must be circumcised in the heart. (Colossians 2:11)

However God has ordained and created the Jewish people to be a light to the Gentiles, (Isaiah 49:6) to bring the Word of God into the world, to bring forth the Messiah in the flesh. The foundation of the Church began with the Jewish people, when you reject Israel and the Jewish people, you are rejecting God’s chosen people (Deuteronomy 7:6) We the Gentiles, the Church have been grafted into the family of God (Romans 11), don’t let your salvation in Christ produce ignorance and arrogance to Gods chosen people

Now alot of people confuse election with salvation, just because you are elect doesn’t necessarily mean you are going to be saved. Consider the rebellion of Korah, these were Israelites, there were Gods chosen people, yet they rebelled against God and were sent straight to Hell.(Numbers 16:1-40) Consider the rebellion of the fallen angels, they left their positions with God to pursue the lust of the flesh, and they are in the chains of darkness waiting their final judgement (Jude 1:6)

So what advantage has the Jews? They were committed the oracles of God, meaning the Torah, the Word of God. They lived in the presence of the Living God in the Tabernacle and Temple, they seen the miracles and power of God, they brought forth The Christ, God in the flesh, heard his teachings, experienced his miracles, and witnessed his life, death, and resurrection. The Apostles were all Jewish and laid the foundation for the Church today, the Jewish Pharisee, who became the Apostle Paul, shared the gospel to all the Gentiles, so we can be saved. Great love and respect will always be for our Jewish brothers and sisters

As the Apostle Paul questions “Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?, Certainly Not (God forbid) God be True and every man is a liar” Don’t be confused by the blindness of many Jews today, this has been prophesied, in God’s timing Christ will save His Sheep (Romans 11, John 10) Amen

Mark 12- Parable of The Wicked Tenant

And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard. And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty. And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled. And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some. Mark 12:1-5

Jesus taught the parable of the wicked tenant, what some of them may not have realized that Jesus was speaking of Israel. The vineyard is Israel, and that God blessed and put a hedge of protection around. However as we see God sent multiple prophets throughout history and Israel never listened to them. In Fact Israel killed most of God’s prophets because of their disobedience and love for pagan gods

The time would then come when God would send his only Begotten Son to Israel, surely Israel would receive their Messiah, their King, the Son of God?

Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son. But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours. And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. Mark 12:6-8

Israel killed the Son of God, they had him crucified on a cross because of the hardness of their hearts. The Messiah that Israel long awaited for, was despised and rejected, treated as a common criminal, treated as he were cursed by God, yet Christ was the only one who could free them from the curse!

What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: This was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way. Mark 12:9-12

So what was God to do? He established the New Covenant by the shedding of the Messiah’s blood, and opened the Kingdom now to Jew and Gentile through Jesus Christ! Jesus is the chief cornerstone and he was rejected by God’s chosen people!

The religious leaders knew Jesus was speaking of them, and eventually they fulfilled prophecy by having the Messiah crucified, what they didn’t realize was Jesus willingly laid down his life, so we can be reconciled back to our Heavenly Father, Amen!

The Prophecy of Israel

And Joseph fell upon his father’s face, and wept upon him, and kissed him. Genesis 50:1

The final chapter begins with the burial of Jacob. As Jacob had requested he wanted to be buried in his homeland of Canaan and not in Egypt. So Joseph honoring his fathers wishes, made all the arrangements to have his fathers body embalmed and then transported to Canaan for burial

It was a very large funeral for 7 days, the mourning and and attendance was so visible , that even the neighboring communities such as the Canaanites took notice to the large funeral.

And when Joseph’s brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him. Genesis 50:15

After the funeral , Josephs brothers became afraid of him again, believing now that their father was gone, Joseph would seek revenge on them. His brothers even sent a message to Joseph reminding him of the promise he made to their father to forgive them of their wrongdoings.

And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Genesis 50:19-20

When Josephs brother came to see him, they all bowed down to worship him. Joseph corrected them as saying “I am not God, why are you worshiping me” Joseph showed great wisdom and understanding when he told them he understood God used their evil against him to bring good for many people.

Again we can see many foreshadows or parallels to Christ, as the evil done to Christ by killing him actually saved us!

And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob Genesis 50:24

Joseph was now at the end of his life, however he reminded them about the promise or covenant God made with their fathers. They would be taken out of Egypt and given the Promise Land. Obviously we know this prophecy is fulfilled with the Exodus

The book of Genesis ends with Joseph passing away and being buried in Egypt

Parable of Israel

Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time. Luke 20:9

What is this parable about? Its very simple, its about Israels rejection of the Messiah! The vineyard is the Promised Land of Israel and the husbandmen are the Israelites. .

And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty. And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty. And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out. Luke 20:10-12

Who are the servants that keep getting sent and beaten? It’s the prophets God has sent throughout time to Israel to have Israel repent and come back to God. Remember Jesus said in Luke 11:50 “The blood of all the prophets will be charged against this generation of Israel”

Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him. Luke 20:13

Since Israel continually rejected the prophets , God would send his only begotten Son, the Messiah (Christ). Surely Israel would listen to their own Messiah? The Messiah that fulfilled over 300 prophecies throughout the Old Testament

But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours. So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?Luke 20:14-15

But Israel not only rejected their Messiah, they killed him, having him crucified on a Roman cross. What they didn’t realize was that the Messiah is also the Lamb of God who paid for the sins of the world, and fulfilled the Suffering Servant prophecy of Isaiah 53

He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid. Luke 20:16

Because of Israels rebellion, the Messiah fulfilled the Old Covenant and created a New Covenant with his blood. This Covenant has no regard for race or nationality, by the blood of Christ we all become Children of God

And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? Luke 20:17

Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone, the one who Israel rejected, and God has built his Kingdom upon. Jesus is the Messiah (Christ), the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, every knee will bow and tongue will confess Christ is Lord Amen!

Revelation Chapter 1- The Son of Man Revealed

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. v1-2

Notice that this is the “Revelation of Jesus Christ”, this is not the Revelation from John or anyone else. The words in this prophetic book are from our Lord and Savior directly! The author is clearly identified at the Apostle John, the same author of the gospel of John, and the Epistles of John.

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. v3

Interesting how God says “Its a blessing to study the book of Revelation, yet many won’t or don’t because they claim they can’t understand it!

Also notice “the time is near”, the Church has always believed in the imminent return of Christ

John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, v4

Here we see Jesus is giving a message (letters) to 7 Churches in the province of Asia, why seven? 7 is the number of completion in the Bible, for example creation was completed on the seventh day. You will see the number seven used throughout the book of Revelation. These messages are for the entire Church, past, present, and future

We notice the “Seven Spirits” also, this is reference to The Holy Spirit. We remember Paul describing the “Seven gifts of The Holy Spirit ” (Isaiah 11:2-3) , remember 7 is symbolic for completion. So at this moment we have the Father, Son , and Holy Spirit at the throne.

The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; Isaiah 11:2-3

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, v5

Here we see a couple key passages, first it confirms Jesus is the firstborn from the dead, meaning Jesus physically died during his crucifixion and was resurrected back to life. This is important because there are some groups who don’t believe in a physical resurrection.

And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and firstborn from among the dead, so that in all things He may have preeminence. Colossians 1:18

Second it says “Jesus loves us” in present tense. This is the only place in the Bible where its stated in present tense. What a wonderful message!

and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. v6

Every translation has the same thing, we were all made to be priests to serve God. Not just your local pastor but every Christian. What the means is what Jesus commanded at the great commission ” Go and make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19) Share the gospel to everyone whenever you have a chance

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. v7

This is a clear reference to Daniel 7 , which Jesus also revealed to the religious leaders in Matthew 24. Jesus is clearly revealing He is the Son of Man, God in the flesh, who will return to bring judgment upon the world. This is a reference to his 2nd Advent, the physical return of the Church and not the Rapture event of 1 Thessalonians 4

In my vision in the night I continued to watch, and I saw One like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into His presence. Daniel 7:13

At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matthew 24:13

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” v8

Jesus is revealing his deity here, Alpha and Omega are the first and last words of the Greek alphabet, so Jesus is saying he is the beginning and the end (Isaiah 41:4) Meaning Jesus has always existed, he was not created as some false teachers preach

Who has performed this and carried it out, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the LORD—the first and the last—I am He.” Isaiah 41:4

I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. v9

Here again, the Apostle John is identified as the author of this book. Also it reveals the location , on the island of Patmos, where John was banished by the Roman government for persecution.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, v10

This is an important scripture here as John was writing this on “The Lords Day”, which is Sunday the day Jesus was resurrected. This confirms that “The Lords Day” was established and recognized by the first century church.

On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Since Paul was ready to leave the next day, he talked to them and kept on speaking until midnight. Acts 20:7

Those who oppose this view confuse “The Lords Day” with “Day of The Lord” which are totally different. “Day of The Lord” would be referencing Revelation 6:17 when Jesus Christ returns for judgement!

For you are fully aware that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:2

saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.” v11

Once again Jesus revealing His Deity, quoting Isaiah which is a reference to God

Thus says the LORD, the King and Redeemer of Israel, the LORD of Hosts: “I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God but Me. Isaiah 44:6

Remember earlier the number 7 is symbolic for completeness, so even though there are more than seven churches in the Asia Minor, Jesus will address only 7 to symbolize the complete “Body of Christ” hence these letters are relevant to all Christians just as all the other Epistles are.

Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. v12-13

John is now about to come face to face with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. First he sees 7 golden lampstands, these can be described better as “Jewish Menorahs” As revealed later in the Chapter, the lampstands are symbolic for The Churches.

John begins describing Jesus appearance, Son of Man which was a common phrase for Christ (Matthew 24:30) which Jesus himself described himself fulfilling the prophecy of Daniel 7:13

The robe and golden sash are symbolic for Jesus authority and royalty as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and also Jesus is our High Priest, the fulfilment of the Levitical Priest line

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Hebrews 4:14

His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; v14-15

This is the glorified Christ, this is not The Lamb who came during the First Advent, this is now the Lion of Judah, who rules and reigns. The whiteness is symbolic for his holiness and purity, while his eyes are a blazing fire, meaning he has come to bring judgement upon the unrepentant sinners.

Bronze is symbolic for Gods judgement. His voice was so authoritative and intimidating sounds like rushing waters.

Again we see the comparison to the Son of Man in Daniel 7, Jesus Christ is the One the prophet Daniel has seen and foretold about

As I continued to watch, thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took His seat. His clothing was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze. Daniel 7:9

He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. v16

Here we see 7 stars in the right hand of Jesus, remember right hand is very symbolic in Jewish culture meaning “special place of honor or authority” as Jesus sat at the right hand of God (Mark 16:19)

The stars symbolic of the messengers/angels of the Churches, notice all authority is in Christ

Jesus is the living Word and Truth, everything he speaks is like a double edge sword as described in Hebrews 4:12, his truth cuts to the bone of sinners and scoffers, that’s why the Bible is so offensive to the ungodly

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

Jesus is The Light of The World (John 8:12) is holiness, truth , and righteousness radiate as the Glory of God

And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. v17

What will you do when you meet Jesus face to face? You will fall on your face! The holiness of The Lord is overwhelming!

Again Jesus reveals his deity , Jesus is omnipotent meaning he has no beginning or end ( Isaiah 41:4) Notice also when John fell to Jesus feet to worship him, Jesus did not rebuke him but acknowledged him

Thus says the LORD, the King and Redeemer of Israel, the LORD of Hosts: “I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God but Me. Isaiah 44:6

am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. v18

I AM He, This is a statement and title that Identifies Jesus as the Great I AM, God in the flesh. Christ has identified himself as the I AM 7 times in the gospel of John

And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” Exodus 3:14

Jesus holds the keys to death and Hades (grave) Jesus holds the only hope for our souls, only through him can we obtain eternal life. Notice death is the state and Hades is the location

Hades typically means grave or realm of the dead. Its sometimes confused with Hell but has a totally different meaning, Hell is referenced as the Lake of Fire later in Revelation

Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this. v19

This is important to understand that some things in Revelation already happened, some things were happening right then, and many things are prophetic (will be happening in the future)

The Preterist view of Revelation is highly unlikely, as many events need to still take place, including the physical return of Christ, the Millennial Reign, the binding and elimination of Satan, the battle of Armageddon, the restoration of Israel, the final judgment, and the New Heavens and Earth

The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches v20

Jesus reveals the symbolism of the 7 stars and 7 lampstands

7 Stars = Angels/Messengers of the Churches

7 Lampstands = Churches

7 Churches = Body of Christ

7 Spirit = Holy Spirit

Did God Reject Israel?

I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. Romans 11:1

There is a false doctrine that claims God has rejected Israel, not only is this simply not true but its Satanic. Israel will always be Gods children as he promised them in Genesis 12:3 “ I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you”

Paul addressed this issue, as he is a Jew also. Why would God use “Saul” who was named after King Saul, to spread the gospel of Christ if he has forsaken Israel? Why would God send Jesus as a Jew if he didn’t care anymore about the Jewish people.  Ant-Semitism is hatred towards the Jews, its used by Evil forces such as Nazi Germany and ISIS. Don’t believe this false doctrine.

God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew. Don’t you know what Scripture says in the passage about Elijah–how he appealed to God against Israel: Romans 11:2

“Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me”?

And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” Romans 11:3-4

Paul teaches about the story of Elijah in 1 Kings, it appeared all of Israel had turned there back on God and was worshipping Baal. However as God told Elijah I have 7,000 other faithful Jews that are still worshipping me also.

Don’t believe that every Jew has rejected Jesus as the Messiah, there are many who already have and as prophesied in the Bible, all of Israel will eventually accept Jesus as there Lord and Savior.

So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace. Romans 11:5-6

Paul teaches us here, right now at this present time there is group of Jews already chosen by Grace. If you read the book of Revelations  who is standing with Jesus at the throne? It’s the twelve tribes of Israel not the 40,000 Christian denominations we have today.

Make no mistake about it, God called the nation of Israel his son, the Jews are his people and always will be. Only thru Christ are we circumcised at the heart and part of his nation also. God will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel, its your choice in Jesus Name Amen
