Rock Star vs. Worship Leader

And when the crowds saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in Lycaonian, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!” Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker. And the priest of Zeus, whose temple was at the entrance of the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates and wanted to offer sacrifice with the crowds. But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their garments and rushed out into the crowd, crying out, “Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men, of like nature with you, and we bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them (Acts 4:11-15).”

Are you Teaching or Just Preaching?

As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation 2 Corinthians 6:1-2

Many times during our daily journey we ask “ Where is God?” We wonder how can this be Gods plan or will, but we must remember to fight the good fight and remain content in all circumstances.

Gods ways our greater than our ways, don’t rely on your own understanding to dictate your path. Let The Lord guide your path and make your paths straight.

We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. 2 Corinthians 6:3

Many times we can become a “stumbling block” for someone seeking Jesus. Have you condemned people without realizing it? This becomes a fine line we have to walk, knowing the difference between teaching and preaching. Anyone can preach the Word but its more effective to actually teach what Gods Word means

Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love;in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; 2 Corinthians 6:4-7

Paul endured many hardships and persecution during his ministry. Anyone who questions his motives for Christ just needs to look at his track record. He gained nothing in the world to exact Jesus except many trials because he knew his riches are in Heaven.

Through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. 2 Corinthians 6:8-10

Again Paul describes to the world he looks like a fool, because the world worships money and vanity. But to the Kingdom of Heaven, Paul is a rich man. He saved many souls, he broke down boundaries and borders in Jesus name. As Jesus commanded us to make disciples of all the nations, Paul took the lead in doing this.

We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you. We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us. As a fair exchange–I speak as to my children–open wide your hearts also. 2 Corinthians 11-13

Many of Pauls revelations he revealed thru Jesus were not popular and wanted. But because Paul loved he spoke the truth anyway in hopes of saving everyone thru Jesus Christ.

How about you today, are just preaching the Word of God or are you actually teaching it so people understand? Does your life reflect your faith? Are your riches in the world or in Heaven? I pray that all churches and ministries focus on the true purpose of Christianity in Jesus Name Amen

Christianity 101

Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2

The world is looking for a hero, a role model, a mentor, look no further than Jesus. You want to know how to conduct your daily life, walk the same way Jesus did. There is no greater love than to lay down your life, Jesus did this for us all. Self-sacrifice instead of selfishness is what we should strive for.

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Ephesians 5:3

The same commandments God handed down to Moses are still the same commandments God expects us to follow today. Just because Jesus paid the price for our sins doesn’t mean we can continue to sin freely. There is forgiveness but you are still accountable for your actions, Jesus came to fulfill the law not abolish it.

Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. Ephesians 5:4

Words are powerful, they can bless or curse you. God spoke The Heavens and The Earth into existence, what are you speaking into existence? Use your words to praise the Lord and to encourage one another.

For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person–such a person is an idolater–has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Ephesians 5:5

Our God is a jealous God, when we put things above and ahead of him, we become spiritually weak. No one can serve two masters, if you’re not putting God first then you’re putting something else in his place, which is Idolatry.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. Ephesians 5:6-7

It’s important who we surround ourselves with, yes Jesus associated with sinners but he didn’t lean on them as close friends. He recruited the 12 disciples a group of men he trusted and he confided in on a daily basis.

Remember Jesus said its better to cut off your hand then to allow it to make you sin, meaning if your friends are causing you to sin or stray from God, better to cut them out of your life then for you to go down with them.

Dear Heavenly Father we thank you for your Word, we thank you for this life you have giving us, we thank you for our Lord Jesus Christ. Please help us to be more like Jesus and love like him and follow your ways in Jesus Name Amen

Jeremiahs Calling

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

God sends Jeremiah a powerful message here, he’s telling him he already knew him before he was sent to Earth, and he already had great plans for him. The world likes to tell us were born by mistake or a random act. But we are Gods children, you are here for a purpose, God knows and loves you!

Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. Jeremiah 1:8

Many times when God calls us to do something, we don’t out of fear of being persecuted. But just as God told Jeremiah, he won’t leave him or forsake him, just as he won’t leave you. If your doing Gods will then he will protect you, if God is for us who can be against us

Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. Jeremiah 1:9

Do you keep quiet when you see injustice because you don’t know what to say? God will speak for you thru the Holy Spirit, don’t be afraid of evil. The Word of God is like a double edged sword and cuts to the heart.

The LORD said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.” Jeremiah 1:12

God is watching us to see if we fulfill our destiny or to see if we choose to live for ourselves. Your deeds will not go unnoticed. Even if the world doesn’t notice, your reward will be great in Heaven

Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. Jeremiah 1:17

Are you ready? Are you prepared? Don’t allow yourself to be caught off guard, stay alert. Always be prepared to do Gods will and spread his word

They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. Jeremiah 1:19

Just as God told Jeremiah, the world will fight against you, but will not defeat you. Don’t be afraid be strong and courageous as God has commanded you.

We can learn a lot from these words exchanged between God and Jeremiah, he’s calling you also, are you listening or resisting. God has made you and set up apart, answer your calling, in Jesus Name Amen
