Cost Of Christianity

And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head. Luke 9:58

Are you really a disciple of Christ? Are you truly living for God or living for the world? Jesus gives us three harsh statements about what it truly means to be a Christian. At first your probably offended but when you truly think about what Jesus is teaching us it makes sense

First statement is about the lack of need for this world. We see so called Christian preachers living in mansions and driving fancy cars, is this what Jesus taught us? No prosperity gospel is a doctrine of Satan. God tells us anyone who loves this world is an enemy of God

Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but you go and preach the kingdom of God. Luke 9:60

Second statement seems even harsher, however when you truly believe and understand Jesus is the resurrection, Jesus is the Living Water, then it makes sense. We serve a God of the living not the dead, our souls don’t die because through Christ we have been giving eternal life. So the dead, who are those who reject Christ, let them mourn their death. Because we have victory through Jesus Christ who tasted death for us

And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62

And finally the third harsh statement, many of us want to be part time Christians. We want to worship Go d when it’s convenient but not interfere with our lifestyles. Jesus clearly is telling us were either all in or nothing. We can’t walk with God and hold hands with Satan. We must learn to be willing to sacrifice and be obedient to God

Now before you beat yourself up, if were being honest, were all guilty of these things. Jesus is teaching us what it takes to be a true disciple. The important thing is we truly in our heart strive to be what God calls us to be. When we fall, don’t give up on yourself, because God hasn’t given up on you either in Jesus Name Amen

Under The Law

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Romans 6:14

One thing I think a lot of people don’t understand is the grace and laws of God. Many misunderstood Paul and thought he was trying to teach that the Laws of God don’t exist anymore. This is because people didn’t understand the differences between Gods old and new covenant, flesh and spirit.

You see if we continue to live by the flesh, even today, we are subjected to the laws of God. But if we truly accept Jesus as our savior, and we truly live by the Holy Spirit, Jesus paid the physical ransom for us. If we live by the Spirit, we are no subjected to the law because a holy person doesn’t lust for things of the flesh

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Matthew 5:17

Jesus made it perfectly clear, he didn’t abolish the laws of God, but he fulfilled the scriptures becoming our Messiah and saving us from the wages of our sins. Those who believe they can break the laws of God and still receive his grace are blasphemous.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25

If we truly are reborn with Christ, then we need to live in the Spirit. You are the temple of God and the Holy Spirit will live in you, however if you continue to live by the flesh, The Holy Spirit can’t remain there. Remember Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the unforgivable sin according to Jesus

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, Hebrews 10:26

As God tells us if we continue to sin willfully after receiving God’s grace, there is no more redemption for us. Do we still make mistakes as Christians? of course we do, are we still forgiven? Of course as long as we are truly repentive and striving to live by The Holy Spirit. When we call ourselves Christians and still continue to live a sinful lifestyle, then you will no longer be covered under the blood of Christ but face the Laws of God in Jesus Name Amen

Press On

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14

God has a plan for us but it’s not going to come without some opposition. Satan wants to control and destroy you, whenever you’re on the right path to your divine destiny, that’s when he pushes back harder.

That’s why we need to continue to “Press On” towards the prize of Jesus Christ. Don’t let obstacles sidetrack you to your destiny. Keep pushing forward

All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Philippians 3:15

The way Satan attacks us is through mind games. He gets in your head, tells you your defeated, tells you your crazy, tells you your wasting your time. This is why we need to fill our minds with Christ, because he is our redeemer, he overcame the world including Satan

Only let us live up to what we have already attained. Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. Philippians 3:17

There is power in numbers, don’t walk alone. Make Jesus the center of your family and you can walk together to “Press On” to the prize! Be an example for those who are defeated or lost, and they will follow when they see the victory of Jesus Christ shining through you! Press On! Press on! Press On!

Who Am I?

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.  For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. Psalm 103:15-16

Today is my birthday, and I feel blessed that God has choose me this life and I get to experience it another year. When we look back at our life, it seems to have gone by quickly. This is not a coincidence this is exactly what God told us how it would be.

When were young we believe we have an eternity to do whatever we want, but as the years quickly fly by we realize every day is precious. Therefor I don’t take any day for granted, just like my birthday I celebrate everyday of life.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;  To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. Psalm 103:17-18

Once we understand that life is truly a gift from God, we understand our creator and want to please him. For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son to give us eternal life. All God asks for in return is your heart. Do you cherish life enough to want sustain it? If so there is only one way to eternal life and that’s Jesus Christ.

The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. Psalm 103:19

Jesus is the King of Kings and his kingdom will reign forever. The only question is are you in his Book of Life? Are you preparing for eternity or just living for today? For the Earth will pass away but our God will reign forever. So this birthday I thank our Lord Jesus Christ for giving me eternal life Amen

Happy Mothers Day

Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Proverbs 31:28

Mother’s day is a special day we honor woman who God has blessed with a special role to be called a Mother. Let’s face it without mothers there would be no human race, Mothers play a vital role not only in the existence of mankind but also our families

My wife is the center of our home; she is the glue that keeps everything together. Without her our family would fall apart, when I read this scripture I truly think of her because our children and I adore her very much and we feel blessed to have her!

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21

One of the most famous mothers of course is Mary, the mother of Jesus. Even though Mary didn’t understand Gods assignment he had for her, she accepted and because of her obedience birthed the Savior of The World. She then helped raise Jesus to be Son of Man we needed to deliver us from the sins of the world.

Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. Genesis 18:14

How about Sarah, who could be called the Mother of Israel. Because of her the promised son Isaac was born and the nation of Israel was born also. Sarah was about 90 years old when God finally delivered his promise of Isaac, however she remained faithful and God fulfilled his promise.

She looks well to the ways of her household, and eats not the bread of idleness. Proverbs 31:27

As I said Heidi is the center of our home, me and the children rely on her for love, kindness, hospitality, and wisdom. So this mother’s day we honor her and all the mothers who paid the sacrifice to bring us into this world in Jesus Name Amen

Ask God

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:14

In a recent article on CNN it stated “90% of Americans have prayed for healing” I find this interesting as we can assume that this included people of many different religions, nationalities, ages, education, ect. The conclusion that you can come to is most people are seeking God. Most people are looking for their Messiah to save them

http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/25/health/healing-power-of-prayer-study/

This is why as Christians its important educate people on the gospel of Jesus Christ. We can’t assume everyone already knows who Jesus is or what he has done for us

Now we need to understand that God is not our magic genie. He has given us the gift of free will and your free to choose as you like. But when things don’t go how we planned, we can’t expect God to intervene when it’s our will and not his. If God intervened during every event, then we wouldn’t be free.

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

So then if we submit to God’s will can we be made free? Yes, without Christ we are all slaves to sin. No matter what path you choose in life , without Jesus you are condemned to death because of the curse of Adam. You may not believe in Adam or God however that won’t change the fact that your body is now mortal and subjective to disease and death

Jesus paid our debt on the cross, so once you accept Jesus as your Savior you will be set free. Because he is the Truth Life and Way.

They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?” Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. John 8:33-34

Jesus explains this concept in the above scriptures, most people will have the same reaction the Pharisees had. But don’t fool yourself, there is only one who can break every chain. So if you are seeking God and praying for a miracle, accept his only begotten Son Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and you will set free Amen

Rules of Prayer

And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Matthew 6:5

Prayer is a vital part of our spiritual lives, without prayer how can you have a relationship with God? That’s why its important we spend time with God thru prayer and reveal our hearts to him. But what if you don’t know how to pray?

Jesus taught us the “Rules of Prayer” and also gave us the Lords Prayer. Most importantly God wants to hear what’s in your heart; don’t just pray in public for a show. When you do pray be honest because God already knows the truth

But you, when you pray, enter into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you openly. Matthew 6:6

It’s important that we spend intimate time alone with God, when your alone with God you will be more honest. Go into a private room and spend a few moments with God alone. The Jews would use a “Prayer Shawl’ so they could be alone with God in prayer.

But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Matthew 6:7

Most denominations nowadays have everyone repeat pre-written prayers, but these words did not come from your heart. Think of it as this way, you received a Birthday card from your child and there was nothing personal written in it just the standard greeting. Although the thought counts, when you add your own personal thoughts in because more special and pleases God more

Be not therefore like them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him. Matthew 6:8

Most importantly God knows you, he knows your needs and pain. Don’t be afraid to cast your cares on God because he already loves you. Tell him what your struggling with, he already has a solution for you. Just like any relationship there has to be communication, develop that relationship through prayer with God Amen
