Spirit of God

“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; John 14:16

Probably there is no one more misunderstood than the Holy Spirit. Even though Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the only unforgivable sin of the Bible (Mark 3:29) Many people, including Christians, often neglect or don’t even mention The Holy Spirit. So who is The Holy Spirit? And what is his purpose?

Jesus said after he ascended into Heaven he would send us The Holy Spirit, to be our Helper, our Advocate, and Comforter. This prophecy was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2) when the Holy Spirit was delivered and revealed the truth to people of many nationalities and languages.

God has said that he would never leave or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6) You might ask how is this possible? This is possible by The Holy Spirit. Jesus said the he would be with us forever!  Our bodies are the Temple of God (1 Corinthians 3:16) and the Holy Spirit dwells in us to lead and comfort us. We can never truly understand the scriptures without divine guidance of The Holy Spirit

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11

Think about it the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is living inside you! You are not alone or weak, you are empowered by The Holy Spirit in Jesus Name Amen!

God Is In Control

He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD.” Job 1:21

Job was a righteous and blessed man, but just like all of us, he was vulnerable to the evils of this world. Satan had launched warfare on Job and his family, and in a moment Job went from being blessed with abundance to being beaten and broken.

But how did Job respond to this spiritual warfare? And what was the reasoning behind it? No matter how bad things got, Job never blamed or cursed God. Even though God was not responsible for Jobs misfortune, Job understood God was creator of the Heavens and Earth and if its his will, then let it be done

Satan continually attacked and tormented Job hoping he would betray and curse God, however Jobs faith was to strong to be broken. Job understood that know matter what was going on in the world, God was still in control. All the blessings we have been given in the world have come from God, and God can also allow trials to happen to us to strengthen our faith

Maybe your being tempted and attacked by Satan today, know this that God is always in control. Don’t take your Heavenly Father for granted because he holds the whole world in his hands in Jesus Name Amen!

Gods House

“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:2

Home is where the heart is, hopefully when you think of the best place on Earth, it’s your home. Home is where our family lives, where love is shared , and memories are never forgotten. Often if I’m having a bad day at work, its comforts me knowing I will be “Home” soon to where I am loved and I can rest.

This is how Jesus wants us to view “Heaven” or “Gods House”  as a resting place where we are welcomed and excited to go to. In ( Heaven) “My Fathers House” are many “dwelling places” (Home)

The question nobody wants to be asked is “Where are you going when you die?” I know this is a difficult question but it shouldn’t be continually ignored because of its harshness. As Christians we can take comfort in knowing Jesus is preparing a Home for us in Heaven.

For those who doubt of the existence of Heaven Jesus said “ If it were not so, I would have told you”. Jesus would have never taught us about Gods House if it didn’t exist. Knowing this truth, should give us comfort as we deal with death. Know that Jesus has overcome death at the cross and there is nothing to fear through Christ.

Jesus said “I go to prepare a place for you” , take comfort in knowing Jesus has not only defeated death for you, but is also preparing a place for you in Jesus Name Amen!
