Word of God

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Deuteronomy 11:18

Do you fix the Word of God in your heart and mind? Its important that we read the Bible daily and meditate on what God is telling us. The Word is our Daily Bread (Matthew 6:11) meaning just as we rely on food for our physical bodies, we also need Gods word for our spirituality. Because as Jesus said we cant live on bread alone (Matthew 4:4)

The greatest commandment is love God with all our heart , soul, and your mind (Matthew 22:37) Put God first daily, read the words he has given us. Many people are struggling because they are starving spiritually. When you study Gods Word you understand he has a plan for our lives and there is Victory through Jesus Christ

To fix Gods Word in our hearts and minds is to put Gods Word into action.  Faith without works is dead (James 2:17) When we live by The Spirit we must walk by the Spirit (Galatians 5:25) don’t live by the flesh. The grass will wither and flower fades but the Word of God will stand forever (Isaiah 40:8) Fix your heart and mind on the Living Word of God  in Jesus Name Amen

The Name of Jesus

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name Philippians 2:9

Is the name Jesus pagan? There are some who are claiming the name Jesus is inaccurate, even some that go as far to say the name Jesus is a pagan variation of the name Zeus.  I’m here to tell you this is absolutely false and will show you how the name Jesus came about.

The Hebrew name of our Messiah is Yeshua (means Yahweh is Salvation)  when you translate that name directly to English it becomes Joshua. However, remember the New Testament was written in Greek, so when you translate Yeshua to Greek it becomes Lesous. When you translate Greek Lesous to English it becomes Jesus, If you want to prove this for yourself use Google translator

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yeshua

Is it wrong to call on the name of Jesus? Absolutely not, God never commanded us to only speak one language. If you call on the name of Jesus, he will hear you. However out of respect it doesn’t hurt to learn his Hebrew name and address him by it. When you say the name of Yeshua you are actually given praise to God (Yahweh) also because its in his name

So don’t be afraid to use the name Jesus or Yeshua, because this is the name above all names that brought salvation to the world in Jesus Name Amen

Love of God

Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the LORD (Yahweh) evil is avoided. Proverbs 16:6

God is Love (1 John 4:8) we heard that many times before. But God has demonstrated his love for us because even though we were still sinners Christ died for us (Romans 5:8) Jesus (Yeshua) became the atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 2:2) so through our Heavenly Fathers love and our faith in Christ we can be redeemed.

But if we listen to the commandments of God (Yahweh) we can avoid evil. For all good things come from God , Father of the Heavenly Lights (James 1:17) God doesn’t know evil, for all evil comes from the wicked one Satan. The reason Jesus (Yeshua) came was to destroy the works of Satan (1 John 3:8) and free us from his slavery

When we think about “Fear of God” its not a hateful fear, because The Spirit of God does not make us fear (2 Timothy 1:7). It’s a respectful fear, just as a child to a parent. Yahweh has promised if we listen to his commands, we will live many years (Proverbs 4:10) If we accept Jesus (Yeshua) as our Lord and Savior, we can have eternal life in Gods Kingdom Amen

Unclean

The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned. Mark 5-12-13

Why did Jesus allow the demons to enter the herd of pigs? What can we learn from this story?

We need to remember Pigs were considered unclean animals. (Deuteronomy 14:8) therefore demons being allowed to enter into the pigs are symbolic of anyone who is spiritually unclean. If we live by the Spirit we should walk by the Spirit (Galatians 5:25) we will be known by the fruit we bear  When you allow yourself to follow the ways of Satan, and fall into his traps of sin, you become spiritually unclean and allow yourself to be taken under his control. Remember Satan has one objective to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10) so be careful what and who you are following.

Just like the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, Satan will make sin look innocent, then seduce you with its temptation. But there are consequence for this sin and the wages are death. (Romans 6:23) Once you open the door for demons and evil to enter your life, the end result is the same as this herd of pigs. As the herd of pigs went straight into the abyss to there death.

But the good news is we have a savior, our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ) all power and authority has been granted to him by God (Matthew 28:18) and the demons tremble at his very name (Jame 2:19) If your lost and need to be saved, everyone call upon Yahweh shall be saved (Romans 10:13) in Jesus Name Amen

The Last Supper

So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover. Matthew 26:19

The disciples didn’t prepare The Last Supper because it was there idea, they were commanded by Jesus to prepare The Last Supper, Why? Because Jesus wanted them and wants you to know how important his sacrifice on the cross is. This is an event that will change the world forever, change the destiny of humanity forever, and defeated sin and death forever.

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Matthew 26:26

Notice Jesus First Blessed the Bread, Then Broke The Bread, and Then gave it to everyone. Just as when Jesus fed 5,000 people with 5 loaves of bread, he first Blessed The Bread and then Broke it. Breaking of Bread is a Jewish custom that the head of the table or household says the blessing and breaks the bread.

Jesus is not only showing them that his body on the cross will be a broken sacrifice for us like the Bread but also he is the King of Kings, he Blessed, Broke, and Delivered the Bread of Life for all of us

Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Matthew 26:27-28

Without Blood there is no life and without the Blood of Jesus there is no forgiveness for our sins. He is The Lamb of God, the atoning sacrifice for our sins. So by drinking the wine, remember the importance of Jesus sacrifice on the cross.

The cross created a new covenant with God which allows all of us to be a Children of God. Its because of the Blood of Jesus we can stand before God, pure as snow, unblemished.

I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.” Matthew 26:29

Jesus is preparing his disciples on what is about to happen at Calvary. But Jesus gives them words of hope and victory as he tells them they will celebrate again in Heaven.

So when you take communion remember what it means, remember the sacrifice Jesus made for you, and remember the victory we have thru Christ Amen

Be Alert

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Every day is a battle, every day is a struggle. If you don’t agree with me you’re probably not being honest with yourself. Satan wants to devour us, and usually plays head games so we become our own worst enemies.

Being sober minded, does that mean refraining from alcohol or drugs? Not really. Keeping your mind sober from doubt and self-defeat. Our minds can quickly become a runaway train; we can convince ourselves that theres no hope when in reality we are victorious.

(Proverbs 23:7) “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he”

When you think of yourself what thoughts come to mind? Successful or failure? Hopeful or hopeless? Redeemed or condemned? Might sound extreme, but this is where the battle is won or lost. Satan plants the seed of doubts in your head and you become self-defeated.

(Ephesians 6:11) “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

This is why we need to put on our “Armor of God” to protect ourselves from Satan’s schemes or propaganda. Read and understand the Word of God:

“I can do all things thru Christ who gives me strength”.

“No weapon formed against me shall prosper”

(James 4:7) “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Put your trust in God, believe in his words and you will be strong to resist the devil. Don’t allow yourself to be vulnerable to Satans schemes, Be Strong in The Lord Amen

The Name of God

One of the most interesting and controversial topics is what is the real name of God. I thought it would be informal to do a brief overview on the” Name of God” The original translation of God’s name was YHWH
Since the original Hebrew language doesn’t have vowels, nobody knew how to pronounce YHWH. Because of this the Jews refused to try to pronounce it in fear they would break the 2nd Commandment using God’s name in vain by not pronouncing it correctly.
Therefor in the King James translations of the Bible you see the word “The Lord” or “Adonai” in place of YHWH.
However other translators added vowels to the name and came up with Yahweh. Although this name is accepted by most Christians nobody is 100% sure it’s the accurate name since the original Hebrew language doesn’t have vowels.
Then came the hybrid form of the name “Jehovah”, even though this name has become popularly acceptable in English languages however experts claim that this translation is “grammatically impossible”
The reason is there is no J in the Hebrew language therefor the correct pronunciation would probably be incorrect. Even the Jehovah Witnesses admit this on their website JW.org that Jehovah is not the most accurate name for God but they kept it because it’s widely accepted in the English language.
In the book of Exodus Moses asks God directly what his name is and he responded And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
I found it interesting God didn’t identify himself as YHWH, Yahweh, or Jehovah. If God wanted this to be known wouldn’t he have revealed it to Moses?
Here’s my take on it. As humans we need to identify things for we don’t understand the supernatural. As Jesus said in John 3:12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?
Our humans minds can’t comprehend what God is or who is it; were not capable. God is above all things, the source of life to all things. The Earth is his footstool and the Heavens his dominion, we can’t possibly begin to fathom what level God is at. Therefor God doesn’t need a name, he’s above all names. We essentially try to humanize him for our human brains to comprehend him but we can’t.
Just know this he is the Alpha and Omega, our Heavenly Father, and the Creator of all Amen
