At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. 2 Timothy 4:16

Paul, who was a pioneer for Christianity, who wrote over half of the New Testament, was abandoned by everyone when times get tough. Even though Paul helped build many Christian Churches throughout the world and lead many Gentiles to God thru Christ, however there were still many who hated him because simply he was a servant for Jesus Christ. As Jesus told us they will hate you because of him.

How many of us can relate to this today? When you enter a season of struggle, does your Church support or desert you? Stay in faith just like Paul did, as he did not want this held against them.

But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. 2 Timothy 4:17

But Paul had comfort knowing that Jesus would not leave him or forsake him. That we can do all things through Christ that gives us strength. You are never alone or abandoned. God is with you, and if God is for you who can be against you?

The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen. 2 Timothy 4:18

Paul declares Victory thru Christ from his enemies. Remember Faith is what activates Gods power. Are you declaring Victory today? You have not been deserted of defeated, God is with You in Jesus Name Amen

No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Joshua 1:5

When Moses passed away, God had anointed Joshua to take over as the leader of the Israelites. The words that God shares with Joshua are very powerful and inspiring. Notice he tells Joshua three times to Be Strong and Courageous.

Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them. Joshua 1:6

God was encouraging and empowering Joshua through his words, as God spoke the Heavens and Earth into existence, he also can speak life and victory in You.

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Joshua 1:7

Notice God teaches Joshua obey Gods laws and you will be successful wherever you go. This same principle still applies today, when we follow Gods will and not our own will he will reward us in due season.

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8

The Word of God is a double edge sword, it has supernatural power. That’s why its important to read and meditate on God’s word daily. When you speak the Word of God it unleashes the Power of The Holy Spirit.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

God has not giving us a Spirit of Fear but of Courage. Its important to Trust in The Lord because God has promised he won’t leave us or forsake us in Jesus Name Amen

The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”
He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Luke 10:17-18

Jesus sent out 72 disciples with nothing but the shirt on their back, they had to rely on the compassion and charity of strangers to provide for their basic needs. But Jesus didn’t send them out alone, they were empowered with the Holy Spirit that even demons submitted to them in the name of Jesus.

How many of us would be willing to take this challenge or leap of faith? Do you trust enough in God to provide for your needs and empower you against evil?

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10:19

Jesus promised them he gave them the authority to overcome all evil and nothing would harm them. It’s important we understand the power in the name of Jesus, the Name above all Names, The King of Kings, and The Lord of Lords. When you trust and understand in the Power of God, you can be strong and courageous when facing the world.

However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:20

We press on to the prize, and the prize is to have our names written in the book of Life. There is no greater gift than eternal life than God has given us through Jesus. So no matter what victory or blessings you may have today, nothing will compare to be a Citizen of Heaven.

Will you be like one of the 72 disciples that Jesus sent out into the world? Jesus said he was sending sheep out to the wolves, but don’t be afraid because there is Power in the name of Jesus Amen

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17

It’s a New Year which means another new beginning! At the end of every year most of us evaluate our lives and make resolutions to improve ourselves, but with Jesus you are already perfect.

When you accept Jesus into your heart, you become a new creation. The old is gone and the new is here. So if you want to make a resolution this year, make it to get to know Jesus.

And to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:24

We are made in the image of God but because of sin we fall short of his glory. Jesus is the way to true righteousness. Nobody can achieve this except thru the blood that was shed on the cross at Calvary.

So this year put on a new self, through our Lord and Savior Jesus, he makes all things new!

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him. Psalm 40:3

When you trust in the Lord he will put a new song in your mouth. Not a song of worry or defeat but a song of victory and hope. We can sing this song because Jesus has defeated Satan on the cross. There is no evil that can prevent you from victory, IT IS FINISHED!

“See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. Isaiah 65:17

God has promised us he will restore the Heavens and The Earth, he will make them brand new and reestablish his Kingdom with our King Jesus. Don’t let the current condition of the world trouble you, this is all just temporary. God doesn’t break his promises and he will restore the world to perfection.

So lets make this year, A Year of Christ. Let’s continue to spread the good news of hope and victory thru Jesus. Let God put a new song of joy in your mouth in Jesus Name Amen

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 1 Timothy 6:6-7

Many Christians are blindly buying into the “Prosperity Gospel” where false prophets tell you God wants you to be rich and powerful, this is false doctrine. God is our provider and he wants you to be humble and thankful for what you have been given already.

Jesus never asked for money nor did he require his followers to give a certain percentage to be saved. Jesus taught to give what is in your heart and give to the poor. Because our riches are in Heaven and not in this world

But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 1 Timothy 6:8-9

Greed is a trap set by Satan, because your actions and thoughts are self-centered. Instead of looking to help others, you look for ways to help yourself.  Jesus said it will be easier for a Camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter Heaven. Basically hes saying its impossible, why? Because your heart is corrupted by the lust and power of money.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 1 Timothy 6:10

Jesus said Nobody can serve Two Masters, you cannot serve both God and Money. To be obsessed with something is called Idolatry, the world has made Money there new God. They kill for it, they lust for it, they sell there souls for it, but in the end it profits you nothing. The Green Paper discinigrates and won’t save your soul.

Don’t be like Judas who sold Jesus for money, his story didn’t have a happy ending and neither will anyone who worships Money. Trust in the Lord who is the only one who can give eternal life in Jesus Name Amen

Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?” “From childhood,” he answered. “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” Mark 9:21-22

A father bought his son to Jesus disciples to be healed, he was full of doubt but he was desperate so figured he would give it a try. Not surprising that the disciples couldn’t drive out the demon on their own. Why? Because of the Fathers lack of Faith in God.

God looks at your heart, he knows your deepest thoughts. To just go through the motions of a Christian are not enough. You need to truly believe and understand the Power of the Living God

“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:23

By Jesus response he seems insulted, here’s someone asking him to perform a miracle but they don’t even truly believe he can do it.  Can you relate to this? Are you expecting miracles from God but don’t truly have Faith in God? Faith is what activates Gods power, for we walk by faith and not by sight.

Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” Mark 9:24

The Father then took a leap of faith, he decided he believed Jesus can do all things. Faith is like walking off a cliff and expecting God to catch you, sometimes it seems scary or irrational but we must put our Trust in The Lord

When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” Mark 9:25

Once again Jesus showed his mercy on them and he healed the boy. As Jesus said “Everything is possible for the one who believes” We must live by these word and walk in Faith in Jesus Name Amen
