Call To God

‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Jeremiah 33:3

If you had one lifeline to call, who would it be? Do you ever turn to God first? Almost seems like a no-brainer to turn to the Creator of the Heaven and Earth. But most people don’t even think about God, in fact most people only pray when there is a tragedy.

God wants a relationship with you! He wants you to call on him and trust him. He promises to show you great and might things that nobody knows. Since the beginning of Creation, everyone is still trying to figure out how life began or the solar system was formed. God already gave us these answers!

The fact is nobody can deny an “Intelligent Designer”, nobody can say that everything just randomly happened or created itself. Its mathematically impossible and not scientifically supported. Everything was designed and made for a purpose by your Heavenly Father including You!

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

Jesus taught us to keep on asking, keep on knocking on Gods door. He will open the gates of knowledge and wisdom, human minds can’t comprehend. Don’t minimize God or put him in a box, Call to him and he will show you great and might things in Jesus Name Amen

#Unashamed

Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. Hebrews 2:11

We talk a lot about professing our faith, not being ashamed to declare Jesus Christ is Lord. However Jesus is not ashamed of us also. Remember even when we were still sinners Christ was willing to die for us, its important not to forget Jesus loved you before you even knew him.

Being a Christian in todays world, a lot of times we don’t feel a lot of love from people. Its important to remember God is with us and he is not ashamed to call us his children. Through Christ we have become anointed and set apart. Whatever the world may think of you because of your faith, Jesus is proud to be your Shepherd, your King and Savior.

Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. Matthew 10:32

Just as Jesus is proud and unashamed of us, we need to be unashamed of Jesus. What does that mean? We need to profess our faith openly without being afraid of the consequences. We shouldn’t just conform to the ways of this world to please people. Transform yourself like Jesus and please your Heavenly Father.

So lift your head up high, take heart knowing that you are loved and redeemed in Jesus Name Amen!

New Covenant

“Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, Jeremiah 31:31

Over 600 years before Christ was born, the prophet Jeremiah fortold about a “New Covenant” coming from God. “Not a covenant like I made with their ancestors (Jeremiah 31:32) Gods original covenant he made with the Jewish people through Abraham, that they would be his people. “My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD.” (Jeremiah 31:32) The covenant that the Jewish people broke over and over again even though God had given everything to them.

God even calling himself a “Husband” to Israel. Meaning he was fully committed to the Jewish people, but they cheated on him over and over again. Worshipping false gods and breaking his laws repeatedly. “”I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”(Jeremiah 31:33) God has a redemption plan, not only for Israel, but for the entire world, a “New Covenant” that will bring everyone close to God

And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. Luke 22:20

Fast forward to Jesus Christ, the Son of God who was sent to be the ransom for our sins. His blood that he spilled on the cross at Calvary, is the royal blood that fulfilled Gods “New Covenant”. A covenant not only with the Jewish people but with everyone who calls Jesus Lord.

The days have come, Christ has fulfilled the “New Covenant”, its time for you to become part of Gods chosen people. Choose Christ and have eternal life in Jesus Name Amen

#LaborDay

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Are you felling weary and burdened? Labor Day is a holiday designated to give everyone who works an extra day off for rest. Often times when we get wrapped up in our lives and work, we become overwhelmed and stressed out. When we take a rest, things don’t seem as bad when we come back to them.

This is the same concept God designated us in the beginning with the Sabbath Day. 6 days we should work and the 7th day we are to rest. Why did God require this? Because he knows us better than we know ourselves, he is our Creator. He knows if we don’t take a rest, we will become burned out and overwhelmed.

Fast forward and Jesus has become our rest. At the cross Jesus has taken on all of our sins and burdens. He provides us rest for our soul. The Prince of Peace, gives us his peace because he has overcome the world. But we must not forget to “Come to Jesus”, to take that Sabbath rest with him.

When you refuse to take Gods Rest, you are not only defying God but your hurting yourself physically and spiritually. This Labor Day, while you are relaxing with your family and friends, remember Jesus and what he has done for us on the cross. And remember every Sunday is Labor Day for those who follow Christ in Jesus Name Amen

Seek God

You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

How are you seeking God? Many people say they are searching for God, but are they seeking with all their heart? Do you really want to get to know God and have a personal relationship with him? Some might think this sounds odd, how can someone have a relationship with our Creator? This is exactly what Jesus tried to teach us while he was here.

Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father ‘? (John 14:9)
Philip who was seeking God, asked Jesus to show him the Father. Jesus said since you seen him, you have seen God. Jesus became God in the flesh, he is our personal relationship with God. If you truly want to know God , get to know Jesus. Nobody comes to the Father (God) except through him (John 14:6)

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

Jesus taught us to seek and you will find. Are you truly seeking God with all your heart? Don’t give up, Jesus promises he will be revealed to you. When you search God truly with all your heart in Jesus Name Amen

Scepter

But of the Son He says, “YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM. Hebrews 1:8

A scepter is the ultimate symbol of authority, royalty, and sovereignty. That scepter is Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He sits on the throne of Gods Kingdom that will reign forever.

Yet even though our King walked this world, the world didn’t recognize him. Many rejected him because they were expecting a Mighty Warrior like King David. They were hoping for a fierce leader who would slaughter the Romans and set the Jewish people free once again.

But our King is the Prince of Peace, he accomplished something greater than just defeating one army. Jesus defeated Satan and all his demonic forces of evil on this Earth, including sin and death. Nobody except Christ could have ever accomplished this but our Messiah, Lord and Savior.

Jesus didn’t need to use force to defeat evil, he used truth and righteousness. And the evil forces that thought they were destroying the Son of God, was just fulfilling our ransom for our sins. Never again will sin and death hold us captive because Jesus rose from the grave to reign as King of King forevermore Amen!

Great Power

“I have made the earth, the men and the beasts which are on the face of the earth by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and I will give it to the one who is pleasing in My sight. Jeremiah 27:5

In a world full of “political correctness” where everyone is afraid to offend each other, it’s good to remember that God doesn’t need to be “political correct”. It really doesn’t matter if the Bible offends you or if you don’t agree with it. God made the Heavens, Earth, and everything on it, he has the final say!

Often times we try to put God in a box, try to minimize him to fit our agendas. But we need to remember we are mere dust. For us to think we can control or dictate God is as ridiculous as a grasshopper trying to understand the universe. It’s all way above us, once you humble yourself and understand the awesomeness of God, you find a great peace in his perfect plan.

When we read the scriptures “Fear the Lord” its actually a bad English translation. The original Hebrew word is “Yireh” which means awesomeness. When you understand the awesomeness of God, then begins wisdom and understanding. When you don’t understand God is our Creator and Father, you miss out on true wisdom and understanding.

But even though in the grand scheme of things, are small and sinners, God demonstrated his love and mercy for us through Jesus Christ at the cross Amen!
