Are You Prepared?

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 1 Peter 3:15

Are you prepared to tell someone about Christ? If someone asked you a Biblical question, can you answer it? One of the responsibilities of beings a Christian is to know the Word of God, this can only be done through reading the Bible, prayer, and the Holy Spirit.

When going to Church or listening to other preach, how do you know its sound doctrine? (Titus 2:1) If you don’t know the True Gospel of Jesus Christ you can easily be deceived by False Prophets and False religions, who twist scriptures to fit their manmade agendas (Matthew 24:23)

What if somebody asked you a question about the Bible, can you answer it honestly? Jesus commanded us to preach the gospel to everyone (Mark 16:15) How can you preach the gospel if you don’t even know if yourself? What if you give people false information leading them astray?

Jesus taught us the Word of God is the rock we stand on during the storms of life (Matthew 7:24-27) But without the solid foundation of God’s Word rooted in you, there can be nothing to stand on. When storms arise, many will panic, but knowing Gods promises and truth, we have the peace and confidence that God is our salvation

So what should we do? Devote yourself to reading Gods Word (1 Timothy 4:13) Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and ask for the Holy Spirit for guidance (1 Corinthians 12:7-11) For we all know the Bible is God breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training (2 Timothy 3:16) in Jesus Name Amen

Our Fathers House

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. John 14:1

At some point in all of our lives, regardless of what your faith or beliefs are, you will have to face our enemy death. Many times people don’t even think about God or the afterlife until a death occurs to someone close to them. But Jesus actually taught us about death and what to expect, right before he was going to be crucified for our sins

Jesus gives us the hope and reassurance by starting out “Don’t let your hearts be troubled” he knows the pain of death, as Jesus wept during the death of his friend Lazurus. But Jesus is telling us were going to be ok, if we believe in Christ as our Lord and Savior , we are saved through him

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? John 14:2

Jesus goes on to describe Heaven, in Gods house (Heaven) there are many room, which means God has prepared a place for us with him. As we know Jesus is living Word of God, the Truth, since he told us this we should expect this after death

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:3

Next Jesus reveals not only did God prepare a place for us but Jesus himself will come back for us and take us to be with him. Isn’t that a comfort to know when we crossover to the other side our Lord will come get us and we won’t be alone

You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14:4

Jesus ends with a strong statement, You know the way to the place (Heaven)where I am going” Many will try to complicate death but its simple. When you give yourself to Christ you belong to God. You are going to be with him in his Kingdom forever. Take comfort in these words and promises that our Messiah delivered to us in Jesus Name Amen

Fear No Evil

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

Are you walking through a dark valley right now in your life? Are you fearful or anxious about your future? We don’t have to be because God told us he would never leave or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6) Because God has not given us a Spirit of fear but one of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7) So whatever struggle you are facing against, say I will Fear No Evil, because God is with you. And if God be for us who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

You may say then, how can God be with me? Why does he feel so far away? But Jesus taught us that God would send a Comforter and he will stay with you forever (John 14:16) That comforter is the Holy Spirit, the power of the living God, the same power that rose Christ from the dead is living inside you (Romans 8:11)

There will be trials and tribulations, however God blesses those who perseveres under trial, having stood the test, that person will receive the Crown of Life (James 1:12)  So don’t walk through your dark valleys defeated, remember God has commanded us to Be Strong and Courageous for God will be with us wherever we go (Joshua 1:9) in Jesus Name Amen

Good News!

Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked. Acts 8:30

Do you have trouble understanding the Bible?  The disciple Philip came across and Ethiopian man who was reading the book of Isaiah, but didn’t fully understand it. The Holy Spirit led Philip to talk to the man and explain the scriptures were about the prophecy of Jesus Christ.

Do you ever feel led to talk to someone about Jesus? You’re probably being led by the Holy Spirit, there are many people out there searching and looking for answers about our Lord and Savior

“How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. Acts 8:31

The man is looking for someone to explain the scriptures to him, and God led Philip right to him. How do you seek wisdom and knowledge of God? When you don’t understand the scriptures, who do you turn to? It’s important we turn to God for the answers and pray for the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit, as he promised us.

Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. Acts 8:35

Many people view the Bible in a negative light, but “The Good News” is exactly what it is. Regardless of the struggles and obstacles we may face, we always have hope and salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ! That is Good News and everybody needs to know about it. For everyone who calls upon

Yeshua (Jesus)our Messiah (Christ) shall be saved Amen!

The Unseen is Eternal

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18

What if there is more to this life than meets the eye? What if there are kingdoms around you right now , which you can’t see?  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12) We need to realize that we are in a spiritual warfare for your soul, Jesus wants to save it and Satan wants to destroy it.

So we need to fix our eyes on the unseen, which is Jesus Christ, because he is our Lord and Savior, blessed are those who don’t see but still believe (John 20:29) When we fix our eyes on Christ, we are victorious in this spiritual warfare of the unseen world. (Revelation 3:21)

You are not in this battle alone, for God has sent his angels to watch over you (Psalm 91:11) God has sent his Holy Spirit to live inside you (John 14:16) Greater is he (Holy Spirit) living inside of us than he (Satan) that is living in the world (1 John 4:4)

So how do we prepare for this battle of the unseen world? For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does (2 Corinthians 10:3) We use our weapons of warfare to fight the evil of this world (2 Corinthians 10:4)  But take heart for Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), therefor we can overcome also in Jesus Name Amen

AGAPE

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

How do you show love? How do you know if someone loves you? God demonstrated his love for us when Jesus died for us on the cross. Jesus said there is no greater love than to lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13) Not only did Jesus display his ultimate love for you but he also considers you his friend

Many consider love to be a feeling or emotion but Love is an action. Love is patient, Love is kind, Love isn’t proud (1 Corinthians 13) these are all actions to display our true love. Just as God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son to save us from our sin (John 3:16)

This kind of love is called “Agape” which is not to be confused with Brotherly Love. Agape love involves faithfulness, commitment, obedience, and self-sacrifice, this is the kind of love God has demonstrated to us because God is Love (1 John 4:8)

Because God loved us and showed us grace and mercy, we can love each other (1 John 4:11) While we were Gods enemies, he still showed us mercy and love through Jesus Christ (Romans 5:10) Therefor if God granted us Love and mercy, shouldn’t you do the same?

Do you demonstrate love to others? Remember Love is more than just words its an action, just as Faith without works is dead (James 2:14), Love without action is empty in Jesus Name Amen

Lost Sheep

“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? Luke 15:4

Jesus is looking for you, You are his lost sheep, he is the Great Shepherd. He was willing to lower himself below the angels, to save you of your sins. Are you feeling lost today? Come back home to your Heavenly Father, who has been looking for you

And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.  Luke 15:5-6

And when Jesus finds you , there will be great rejoicing. For there is no greater victory than a sinner being saved! Satan roams like a Lion looking to devour you, but rejoice, your Great Shepherd has heard your cries, and has saved you from death

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. Luke 15:7

And all of Heaven rejoices over your salvation of sin. Come home to your Father, hear the calling of the Great Shepherd , repent your sins and become transformed today in Jesus Name Amen

Are You A Light to this World?

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14

Jesus has called us to be The Light of The World, so do others see you as a light or a dark cloud? So what does it mean to be The Light? When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9), you are given eternal life which has defeated death and sin (John 3:16). Jesus said whoever follows him will never walk in darkness again (John 8:12)

However, as Jesus goes on to say does someone light a lamp and hide it under a basket? (Matthew 5:15) No when you understand and receive Gods grace through Jesus, you need to share it to the world. (Matthew 28:19) The world is hopeless and in need of a Savior, that Savior is Jesus Christ (Luke 2:11), when you “open the eyes of the blind”(Isaiah 42:7) to Jesus, you shine The Light on them

The next part of the scripture says, a town built on a hill cannot be hidden, meaning when you become a Christian you are going to stand out. (1 Peter 2:9) When you accept the Holy Spirit you become transformed and your mind is renewed, no longer do you conform to the sins and evil of this world (Romans 12:2) And Jesus told us the world will probably hate us because of him (Matthew 10:22)

But Jesus is the Resurrection (John 11:25), The Living Water (John 4:14), The Bread of Life (John 6:35), that gives hope and victory to all of us because he has defeated death and hell. (Revelation 1:18) Let your light Shine to this world in Jesus Name Amen

Gods Calling You!

Moses said to the LORD, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” Exodus 4:10

God had called Moses to be his voice, to be his prophet for his people, to save them from slavery. But Moses originally refused to obey, instead of accepting Gods calling, he made up excuses why he wouldn’t be able to achieve his mission.

What about you? When God is calling you, do you accept your assignment or make up excuses why it can’t be done?

The LORD said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” Exodus 4:11-12

Gods response to Moses is truthful, who does Moses think he is complaining about his stuttering? God made him that way, God has equipped us to fulfill our destiny, he knows the beginning from the end, put your trust in him and go!

But Moses said, “Pardon your servant, Lord. Please send someone else.” Exodus 4:13

Again Moses is negotiating with God, telling him to send someone else. But God has already chosen Moses, he was born with this destiny. Just like you, your born for a destiny, question is are you answering Gods calling or still negotiating with God?

Then the LORD’s anger burned against Moses and he said, “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and he will be glad to see you. Exodus 4:14

Gods plan is being revealed, Moses brother Aaron, who eventually becomes the first high priest for the nation of Israel, and is passed down his entire blood line. God has a solution already for your problem, we must trust in his plan and his calling for our lives in Jesus Name Amen

Bread Alone

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'” Matthew 4:4

What do you need to sustain your life? Will money, food, shelter, and clothing save your life? The answer is No, these things may sustain your physical body temporarily but will not deliver your soul for eternity. Jesus addressed this issue when he sayed “Man can’t live on Bread alone” Remember during this time Jesus was being tested in the wilderness for 40 days by Satan (Matthew 4)  But Jesus knew that his temporary suffering could not compare to the Glory of God. (Romans 8:18)

So knowing this our feeding our souls with the Word of God? For we know what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18) We need to learn to not focus all our efforts on the temporary physical world, but use our time wisely to prepare for eternity, as we press on to the prize of our higher calling. (Philippians 3:14)

Knowing these we must deny ourselves, carry our cross, and follow Jesus. (Matthew 16:24) For we know he is the only Truth, Life, and Way to God. (John 14:6) All other roads lead to destruction. So choose your path wisely, let God be the lamp for your feet and guide your path. (Proverbs 3:6)

So don’t worry about what you need to eat or drink, for God knows your needs (Matthew 6:31) and will be your provider (Philippians 4:19)  Instead focus your time on preparing yourself for your eternal calling which is with our Lord and Savior, remember he is the Bread of Life, not this world in Jesus Christ Amen
