Trust In Jesus

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding Proverbs 3:5

Trust–  firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of someone or something

Do you truly trust in The Lord? Do you have firm belief that Jesus is your Lord and Savior?

What will it take for you to truly Trust in Jesus? Even though we were still sinners he died for us (Romans 5:8) A sacrificial love that was given to us even when we didn’t deserve it. Is Love not enough to earn trust?

Jesus is The Truth , Life , and Way (John 14:6) The Living Word that became flesh, he revealed who God is and the plan for our lives. Do you reject The Lord because you reject truth? Why is Truth so difficult to accept? Because it forces us to reflect on our own lives?

What happens when we continue to lean on our own understanding? Can the blind lead the blind? Jesus opens the eyes of the blind, (Isaiah 42:7) once was lost and now found. To fully trust in The Lord is follow him with your whole heart and not lean on your understanding. Because our understanding can’t compare to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords in Jesus Name Amen

Free

Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.  2 Peter 2:16

What does true freedom mean? To live as free people, is to live with no fear. For God doesn’t give us a Spirit of Fear but of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7) We don’t have to live in fear because your soul was set free, set free but the blood of Christ. If the son has set you free, you are free indeed (John 8:36)

But we don’t use this freedom to cover up evil . For our old selves had died and a new creature has been born. (2 Corinthians 5:17) For if we live by the Spirit we must walk by the Spirit (Galatians 5:12) If you live a life of sin you are not a Child of God but a slave to satan. There is only true freedom in Christ when we become a slave to God

There is only one Way, Truth, and Life to eternal life, all other roads lead to death. Therefor there is only one true way to freedom and its through Jesus Christ. At the cross your freedom can be found, he has gathered his lost sheep and is taking us home. So if Jesus is your Lord and Savior, take heart knowing you a free, because the Son has set you free indeed in Jesus Name Amen

Our Advocate

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever- John 14:16

Before Jesus ascended to heaven he promised to send us an advocate (NIV), a comforter (KJV), and Helper (ESV) to live with us forever. Think about that, the power of God is living inside of you forever. The same power that rose Jesus from dead is living inside us (Romans 8:11)

The Biblical definition of advocate is  one who defends, one who pleads the cause of another and one who comforts

As God has promised he will never leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) The Holy Spirit is with us always, we are never alone. We don’t have to worry about the trials and tribulations in our lives because God is with us. And if God is with us who can be against us? (Romans 8:31) We can have the Faith, Hope, and Love of God in our lives regardless of the circumstances because the our covenant with God is eternal

How can it be possible to feel love and joy when faced with a difficult situation? It’s because we have been given the Fruits of The Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) The Fruits of the Spirit are Love, Joy, Peace, Forbearance, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control. The power of God allows us the strength to do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:19) Why would you want to try and take the world on alone? God has equipped us with the Fruits of The Spirit to be overcomers, because Christ has already overcome the world in Jesus Name Amen

Hope In Jesus

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

Can we truly live with no hope? If you don’t have hope in Jesus, where does your hope come from? Hope is the anchor for the soul (Hebrews 6:19) When things start looking dark we can renew our strength in the hope and promises of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world (John 16:33)

Come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28) These are the word of Jesus Christ, who is our Sabbath, he gives us peace and rest during the storms of life. Are you weary and burdened? Come to Jesus and let him refresh your soul with his grace, mercy and truth

Not only will you be renewed but you will soar on wings like eagles, Why? Because nothing can separate us from the love of God ( Romans 8:38) On the cross Jesus has defeated every force of evil, IT IS FINISHED Because of this victory in Christ, we will walk and not be faint! We are victorious in Jesus Name Amen

Consequences of Sin

Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched? Proverbs 6:28

Can someone sin without consequences? Absolutely not, and this what the Proverb is trying to tell us. When you think about any sin, there is a consequence. Drugs or alcohol lead to intoxication, which ruins your health, could lead to death. Sexual immorality leads to STD’s and/or the breaking up of families. Ect. Ect. The reason God hates sin so much is it goes against his plan for Creation, which was eternal life .

We know the wages of our sins is death (Romans 6:23) You can’t walk through the fire without getting burned. But there is a solution to our sin and its Jesus Christ. He has paid the ransom for our sins so we can live again (1 Timothy 2:6)

However, if you continue your sinful life it will lead to death and destruction. Set your mind on things above and not on Earthly things (Colossians 3:2) Turn away from evil, truly repent, meaning change your sinful lifestyle. Strive to live a holy life. Our bodies are the temple of God (1 Corinthians 3:16) we need to treat them this way

If you continue to live a sinful lifestyle, when the consequences of those sins strike your life, you have no one to blame but yourself. You can’t walk through the fire without being burned, but you can walk with Christ and live forever in Jesus Name Amen

True Repentance

As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly. Proverbs 26:11

Does it feel like you keep getting stuck in the same circumstances? Do you continually fall for the same traps? This proverb is probably not the most popular but it’s very true. We want to live a blessed and peaceful life however we keep falling for the same addictions and diseases that caused us these hardships. What we need is true repentance if we want to see God work in our lives

Many times when we hear the word “repent” we think confess our sins to God and that’s it. But the true Biblical meaning of repentance is to change is to change our minds and actions (Luke 3) To just confess your sins but not change your actions would be useless. When we truly accept Christ and repent, we become transformed (Romans 12:2) and a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17) Remember God reads our hearts and minds (Romans 8:27) if you say you are a Christian but your actions don’t show it, God knows you’re a liar

The Biblical meaning of the word “Folly” means weakness, thoughtless procedure, meaning what your sin of choice is. So if your addicted to pornography, even though you thought you repented, you continually return to that sin of pornography. You are then the dog returning to his own vomit, how can you believe your life will be any different if you don’t cut out your sin or folly? Jesus taight us whatever it is that makes us sin to “Cut it Out” (Matthew 5:29-30) Does that mean it will be easy? No, but as Jesus said its better to go without now than to lose your soul forever.

Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand , stop returning to your folly, allow Christ into your heart and become transformed in Jesus Name Amen

Trust in Jesus

You put your faith and hope in a mortal man or woman

Which one is more corrupted? Only God knows

But you still worship them even though their sins have been revealed

You wonder why the system fails, when the system is lead by failures

There is only one, who we can confidently put our faith and hopes in

He lived without sin, and yet died for the ransoms of our sins

All the kingdoms and nations rest on his shoulders, the King of Kings

Who do you put your trust in? I trust in The Lord Jesus Christ

Perpetual Messiah

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Do you believe The Bible is outdated? Do you think God could never understand us today? Well we must remember that God does not change (Malachi 3:6) Our Lord Jesus is the same Messiah who laid down his life for us on the cross.(John 15:13) The same Jesus who now sits on the throne with all power and authority that has been given to him by God Almighty.(Matthew 28:18)

The same sin that separated Adam and Eve from God in the beginning (Genesis 3) is the same sin that separates us today. The wages for our sins is still the same death (Romans 6:23) but Christ has paid the ransom for our sins.(Matthew 20:28) This grace from God will not change either. Once you’re covered by the blood of the Lamb of God,(John 1:29) you are redeemed forever

The same Jesus, who is King of Kings,(Revelation 19:16) will return again to reestablish Gods Kingdom forever. This outcome will not change. Satan will be defeated and thrown in the Lake of Fire,(Revelation 20:10) because he was defeated at the cross. All sin and death has been overcome by our Lord and Savior Jesus, (John 16:33)this will not change. Jesus will not change, he will reign victorious forever Amen

Bread of Life

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6:35

Why do we need Jesus? Can we live by bread alone? No Jesus told us we can’t live by bread alone (Matthew 4:4) Why? Because the things of this world are temporary but the kingdom of God is eternal, do you want eternity? We worship the God of the living and not the dead (Matthew 22:32), so why keep living like a dead man walking?

Why worry about tomorrow or about what you will eat or drink? (Matthew 6:24) God already knows all your needs and will provide them (Philippians 4:19), he is Jehovah-Jireh our God and provider (Genesis 22:14). What can man do to us, if God has already saved your soul? Don’t fear anyone who can kill the body, fear the one who can kill the body and soul into hell (Matthew 10:28)

For God has already provided all our needs through Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life, The Living Water, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will never hunger or thirst again. He sustains all our spiritual needs, for the grass whither and the flower will fade but the Word of God will live forever. (Isaiah 40:8) The Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14) to save our eternal souls, The Bread of Life, who has broken and given to us all to pay for the ransom of our sins in Jesus Name Amen

Brotherly Love

Let brotherly love continue. Hebrews 13:1

Today, October 10th, we celebrate Evans 3rd birthday. Not only has Evan been a blessing to us, but he’s been a big blessing to his brother Tanner.  I can recall hearing Evan say many times to Tanner they are best friends. Even though they have their sibling fights, they have a deeper love for each other called “Brotherly Love”

As a Father, it gives me great joy and peace of mind, knowing that these brothers will have each other for their whole life. And they have a “pure” love for one another. Not a love that is based on money or gain, but a love that is based on their heart and soul. A love that will never fail and not change.

Evan is a blessing to us also, he completes our family. As we look back on another year, it’s amazing to see him growing into a young boy, full of wonderment and love. It’s also gratifying to watch his bond with his brother Tanner grows year after year. The covenant that was made to be eternal, the covenant of brotherly love in Jesus Name Amen

Happy Birthday Evan!
