You Can Be Saved

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

There are many people who are living in defeat because they don’t believe  they can be saved, or are not worthy to be saved. But you need to know Jesus came to save everyone including You!

Jesus said in (Luke 5:32) He did not come for the righteous but for the sinners, and since we are all sinners (Romans 3:23), we all need Jesus!  It doesn’t matter your age, race, gender, Jesus came to save everyone, he is the light of the Gentiles (Isaiah 42:6)

What is a Gentile?  Gentile is anyone who is not Jewish, this is what the new covenant is all about.  Because of God’s grace through Jesus Christ, we can all be children of God, Jews and Gentiles (Galatians 3:28). Also tells us in (Romans 10:12), that God is the God of everyone, Jews and Gentiles

Many know the scripture John 3:16 but if you continue reading verses 17 and 18 it tells you Jesus didn’t come to condemn the world and whoever believes in Jesus  is not condemned (John 3:17-18)

So You can be saved, If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9) Saved from the enemy of this world including death. Accept Jesus into your heart today and become a new Creature (2 Corinthians 5:17) Amen!

Got Grace?

Got Grace?

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Romans 3:24

Who is worthy to receive the Grace of God? The good news is we are all worthy, so what is Grace and how can we obtain it?

Grace– is the feely given, unmerited favor and love of God

Do any of us truly deserve Grace? Absolutely not, but even though we were sinners, God demonstrated his love for us through Jesus Christ (Romans 5:8) We must understand the wages of our sins is death (Romans 6:23) but Jesus tasted that death so we don’t have to (2 Corinthians 5:15) this is what Grace truly is

So how do we obtain Grace? If you confess with your mouth Jesus Christ is Lord and believe God has

raised him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9) we must also repent of our sins (Acts 3:19)

and become transformed ( Romans 12:2) through the Holy Spirit. What does it mean to repent

Repent- means to feel remorse and turn away from sin

So when we repent our sins, its not just a motion were going through but a change. Grace is not a free

Ticket to sin, but when we accept Christ into our hearts we are baptized by the Holy Spirit

(Matthew 3:11)

Grace can only be obtained through Jesus Christ, because he took on the sins of the world, including

yours so we may have eternal life (John 3:16) there is no other way to escape death (John 14:6) Once

you realize you need a Savior, then you understand the importance of Jesus Christ. So share the hope

and victory we have through Jesus Christ by his Grace Amen

 

Peace of God

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

So are you having a bad day today? Worried about your family? Worried about your bills? Maybe worried about your health? Whatever it may be, God is saying Don’t be anxious about “anything”

Right now that may seem impossible, but if in every situation we pray to God about our concerns, he will give us peace. We can spend lots of time “spinning our wheels” trying to come up with our own solution, when God has a simple solution for us, pray. Cast your cares to him

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

And when you display your faith, and cast all your cares to God, he will bring you peace. Isn’t that something we all need right now? All the Holy Spirit will guard your heart and mind, from the chaos that’s going on right now.

A lot of times Satan is playing mind games with us, making us believe the problem is impossible or bigger than what it really is. When you leave it up to God he will give you the peace of Christ.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. Philippians 4:8

Finally focus on the good things in life, not the bad things. There are always going to be problems, but we have been blessed already. Thanks God for your spouse, your children, your job, your home, your health, whatever you have been provided for. Don’t let a bad day bring you down, let the blessings from God bring you back up in Jesus Name Amen

Meaning of Life

Meaning of Life

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

What is the meaning of life? Throughout time people have pondered this question and searched for meaning. However, the answer is in The Bible, God has laid out his plan for us since the beginning of time.

God has created us in his image (Genesis 1:27) and made us perfect and immortal.  Due to our sin, we brought on sickness and death (Romans 6:23). However, God still has a plan for us, and his name is Jesus Christ (Genesis 3:15).

Jesus took our sin and death for us (Romans 4:25), so we can be immortal again. When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are baptized by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:11), and begin living by The Spirit (Galatians 5:16)

So the meaning of life is press on to the prize of our higher calling (Philippians 3:14) and we wait for the return of our King Jesus Christ (Revelation 1:5) who will defeat Satan forever (Revelation 17:14) and wipe away everyone’s sorry, tears, and death (Revelation 21:4)

The Kingdom of God will reign forever (Revelation 11:15) Do you want to be part of that perfect kingdom? Where you are no longer a slave to sin and death? Then this is the meaning of life, to follow your Lord, Savior, and King to paradise (Luke 23:43) in Jesus Name Amen

Who Is My Neighbor?

But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Luke 10:29

Jesus has told us to “Love our neighbor as yourself” but who is our neighbor? When we think of the word “neighbor” we think of people who live closely to us or maybe people we know. But this is not the true Biblical meaning of “Neighbor”. One man asked Jesus this question and here was his reply

In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. Luke 10:30-33

A few things to notice in this story, first the man that was attacked wasn’t identified by race or stature. Meaning we should help everyone in need, not just our family or friends. Second a priest ignored the victim. This shows you God is not impressed by the man’s religious knowledge but by his human reaction to other people. Third a Samaritan took pity on the man and saved him. During that time Jews didn’t associate with Samaritans as they viewed them below them. However, God noticed the Samaritans good deed.

The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.” Luke 10:37

So who is your neighbor? It’s everyone, no matter what race or stature , we are all one through Jesus Christ. So we must strive to not only take care of our own family, but to everyone who is in need in Jesus Name Amen

Is There Evidence for God?

Is there Evidence for God?

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. Romans 1:20

One of the common questions, is there evidence for God? God actually addresses this issue in The Bible, he tells us there is evidence of his existence all around us, the Earth, the heavens, animals, ect. He even goes as far as to tell us we are without excuse to not be believe in him. So the question would be if you don’t believe in God, then where did you and everything else come from?

Jesus is the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15), if we really know about God, we should look no further than Jesus. He is God in the Flesh ( John 1:14) and has been here since the beginning of creation ( Revelation 1:8). So if we really want to know about Gods existence, we should learn from Jesus Christ.

And the final piece of evidence is You!  God made you in his image (Genesis 1:26) So if you truly want to know what God looks like, look in the mirror. We were made for a special purpose to reflect Gods glory and serve him

So is there evidence for God ? Absolutely , the evidence is you  and everything that is around you. Including our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who is the living God in the flesh. As God said there is so much evidence we are without excuse!

What Spirit are You?

And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, will you that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elijah did? Luke 9:54

With all the evil in the world, sometimes we feel like the disciples did. When people reject Jesus or even blasphemy his name, its normal to feel some anger. However, we learn from this event that Jesus doesn’t want us to be looking for judgement but to share the mercy of God through Jesus Christ.

In this particular event, the Samaritans rejected Jesus and this obviously made his disciples angry. We see a lot of evil and sin in this world that makes us angry, how do we react? Are we condemning people or praying for them?

But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, You know not what manner of spirit you are of.For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to savethem. And they went to another village.
Luke 9:55-56

The disciples wanted God to consume the Samaritans with fire, like Elijah had done with the followers of Baal. Jesus rebuked them. So what was the difference? Well Jesus has brought a new covenant from God, filled with grace and mercy paid by his blood at the cross. Consuming sinners with fire would negate the reason Christ died for us.

This same covenant is still here today; God is still granting mercy to sinners through Jesus Christ. So as Christians our job is not to condemn sinners but to lead them to Jesus. Is this easy to do? No, of course not but we must not be a roadblock to someone’s salvation.

As Jesus said to the disciples, what manner of Spirit are you? Are you lead by the Holy Spirit or are you lead by a false Spirit of Satan? You don’t need to save the world, we already have a God who has done that in Jesus name Amen

God Does Love You!

God Does Love You!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Many people in this world are searching for love, searching for people to value them. Well look no further than your Heavenly Father and Creator. He loves you enough to become human and die for your sins.

First thing you need to realize is you were created in Gods image (Genesis 1:27) so think about how special you are when God looks at you. Secondly God knew you before he formed you in your mother’s womb and has a plan for you (Jeremiah 1:5) He knows the number of hairs on your head (Luke 12:7)

God values all human life, just as he supplies food for the birds, he will supply all your needs also (Matthew 6:26) God says he will never leave us or forsake us  (Deuteronomy 31:6) God says you are the apple of his eye and he will keep you protected (Psalm 17:8)

The most important thing to know is, even because of our sins and rebellion, God forgives us anyway. Jesus said there is no greater Love than to lay down his life for friends, God demonstrated the greatest love on the cross and even called you his children (Galatians 3:26)

Maybe you made some mistakes, God will forgive you and through Christ you can be transformed (Romans 12:2) So don’t believe what the world is telling, believe what your Heavenly Father is telling you, You are special and you are Loved in Jesus Name Amen!

Fisher of Men

Now when he had ceased speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch. Luke 5:4

We all heard about Jesus, but what’s it going to take for you to truly believe in him? Why do we have such a hard time with faith? Jesus was teaching to Peter and others but could tell they weren’t getting it either, so he decided I’ll show you who I am

And Simon answering said unto him, Teacher, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at your word I will let down the net. Luke 5:5

Peter was a professional fisherman so he probably was a little annoyed at Jesus request, but out of respect he did it anyway. Do we feel this way sometimes when God is calling us to do something? We get settled in our own ways but need to remember Gods ways are higher.

When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. Luke 5:8

Peter witnessed the miracle and knew immediately he was in the presence of God. Peters response was correct as he immediately asked for forgiveness as he knew the holiness of Jesus. What would your reaction be if you were face to face with Jesus?

And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from now on you shall catch men. Luke 5:10

Jesus showed kindness and mercy to Peter and told him he was going to be one of his disciples! We need to remember we don’t choose God, God has chosen us. Allow God to work wonders in your life today , let Jesus make you also a Fisher of Men Amen

Amazing Faith

So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. Luke 7:6-7

What can we learn from the centurion? Here he is being honest with Jesus, he knows Jesus can heal his servant but doesn’t feel worthy to even approach Jesus. Do we feel like the centurion or do we feel like God owes us?

What we do learn is that we should have faith and know that God can do all things, but we should also be humble and not expect that its his will to do as we request.

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” Luke 7:9

A centurion is a commander of the Roman army, he had great power and authority just as he expressed to Jesus. But he also showed that he believed Jesus has greater power and authority than him.

So when Jesus heard that faith coming from a centurion, he was amazed. Herse a man whose job is to enslave the Jews, but this man recognizes that Jesus is the Messiah.

Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well. Luke 7:10

The centurion knew that Jesus didn’t need to even see his servant to heal him, and he was correct. Do we understand this also? We can pray for others and don’t have to be with them for them to be healed. God is everywhere, the Holy Spirit lives inside us all, amaze Jesus with your faith also Amen
