Mighty Warrior

But the LORD is with me like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced; their dishonor will never be forgotten. Jeremiah 20:11

Do you feel alone and defeated? Consider what the Prophet Jeremiah said, God is with him like a “Mighty Warrior”. Jeremiah who was called by God to be a prophet of Israel and have them repent of their sins and idolatry, was persecuted on a daily basis. Even though he spoke the words directly from God, nobody wanted to listen and they wanted him dead.

But God reminded Jeremiah he was always with him, he was the one giving him the wisdom to speak. No matter what turmoil Jeremiah faced, he had faith in God that he is a “Mighty Warrior” and his enemies would not prevail

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? Romans 8:31

If God is for us, who can stand against us? When we are faithful and follow Gods will and not our own will, nobody can stand against us. Nobody will be able to prevail against our God. Our God is a “Mighty Warrior”, creator of the Heavens and Earth. There is nothing that is impossible for him who believes!

So whatever your facing today, remind yourself, your God who created you, is also with you as a “Mighty Warrior” and you will prevail in Jesus Name Amen!

Will You Flee?

And they all left Him and fled. Mark 14:50

Will you flee Jesus during your storm also? The disciples of Jesus, who spent over 3 years with him ,learning the Word of God and witnessing miracles, left him in a second as soon as trouble came around. At this point Jesus was being arrested and being taken away to be beaten and crucified. These same disciples who told Jesus they would lay down their lives for him, took off to save their own lives.

Does this happen to us? We know and love Jesus, but as soon as times get tough, we leave him to blame him for our troubles. Why are we so quick to lose faith during trials and temptations? Why do we always assume when bad things happen its Gods fault?

Peter promised Jesus he would never leave him, but as soon as Jesus was arrested he denied Jesus three times. This is the same Peter who confessed Jesus was the Son of God. What happened to Peter? Where was his faith?

Fear is a human reaction that takes over quickly, as soon as we are in an uncomfortable situation, our minds tell us to run. But we need to remember that our God is greater than any fear. Our God is greater than any trial or temptation. Instead of cutting and running, we need to remain in the eye of The Storm who is Jesus Christ Amen

Trust in God

Thus says the LORD, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the LORD. Jeremiah 17:5

Who do you put your trust in? God or Man?  All throughout history God has wanted us to trust him, to depend on him, to open up to him, he just wants our heart. But throughout history mankind has gotten further and further away from God. So far in this day and age that we deny Gods existence. What we don’t understand is we are cursing ourselves.

“So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. Matthew 6:8

Jesus taught about this, God our Heavenly Father knows what you need before you even ask for it. The question is are you willing to ask and have a relationship with God? Many people’s pride and ignorance gets the best of them. They believe they can supply all their needs themselves or overcome anything alone. Trust in God he wants to be your strength and shield.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD And whose trust is the LORD Jeremiah 17:6

God goes on to say Blessed is those who trust in him. God justs wants us to put our faith and trust in him as our provider and Father. Is that too much to ask? Why do we go around chasing solutions and remedies when the answer is above you all the time! Trust in God and find strength and blessings in Jesus Name Amen

Bondslaves

Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. 1 Peter 2:16

Do you feel free? By the blood of Christ, we have been set free, free from the bondages of sin and death. Free from the burdens of The Law, but as the scripture says, we don’t use this freedom to sin, but we walk in The Spirit because we live by The Spirit (Galatians 5:16)

Many religions or denominations want to enslave you, they want to control you with rules and rituals. But Jesus has fulfilled The Law at the cross (Matthew 5:17) When Jesus said “It Is Finished” the new covenant was sealed and you have been covered by his blood instead of being burdened by debts of your sins.

Still many don’t want to accept this, even many he believe they have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, yet they reject his Grace and sacrifice on the cross. When you accept Christ, you need to accept all of him including his power to forgive and set free

Other translations use the word “bondslave” instead of Gods slaves. A bondslave or bondservant is someone who voluntarily becomes someone’s slave. When you become a Christian, you agree voluntarily to serve God, not against your will. The term Lord also means Master. When you call Jesus your Lord, your calling him your Master, and you are his bondservant, a voluntarily servant of The King of Kings.

Understand the power of Gods Grace and Mercy, is not to be abused but to bring salvation to those who have become transformed through Christ in Jesus Name Amen!

Are You Ready? #Eclipse2017

“Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. Matthew 24:42

Could the Great Eclipse be a sign of the Return of Christ? If Jesus came today would you be ready? Jesus clearly stated that nobody will know the day or hour of his return, however he did tell us to be ready for his return.

“There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, Luke 21:25

Jesus taught that God uses the heavens to give us signs, a giant billboard from Heaven. With all the attention and excitement generated for the Great Eclipse , could God be using this to get everyones attention? Even if Christ doesn’t return on Monday, their should still be a call to repentance. With all the violence and evil going on in this world, there is no better time than now to return to The Lord

“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’ Matthew 7:23

If Jesus did return and you are standing face to face with the Holy One, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. What would he say to you? Would he say “Good work my faithful servant (Matthew 25:23) or will he say “Depart from me I never knew you! Lawlessness by Biblical definition is sin. Any sin is an act or rebellion against God.

Did you repent of your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Time might be running out, you don’t want to be “Left Behind”, Jesus is your only way to salvation! Keep your lamps lit and eyes in the sky!

Daily Bread

Your words were found and I ate them, And Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16

Do you eat your daily bread? Just as the prophet Jeremiah said he ate the “Word of God”, Jesus taught that “Man Can’t live on just food alone” (Matthew 4:4) Many people commit and dedicate time to maintain their physical bodies but do you dedicate time to feed your Spirit also?

Just as the physical body without food and exercise gets weak, so does our Spirit. When we don’t feed on the Word of God, and spend time daily praying and meditating on Gods Word, we grow spiritually weak. We should make it part of our daily routine, to spend time with God and read his word.

But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.'” Matthew 4:4

When Jesus was being confronted and tempted by Satan, he said we can’t live off just physical food alone but on God’s Word. This is exactly what he was talking about, if we just focus on our physical needs and not our spiritual needs, we won’t be strong to stand against the devils schemes.

‘Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:11

When we say this during the Lords Prayer, are you asking for physical or spiritual nourishment? I believe Jesus wants us to ask God daily for Spiritual wisdom and guidance by the Holy Spirit. So just as we make it a routine to feed or exercise our bodies, make it a practice to study Gods Word in Jesus Name Amen

The Messiah

But He kept silent and did not answer. Again the high priest was questioning Him, and saying to Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” Mark 14:61

The Jewish High Priests kept asking Jesus if he was the Messiah, why would they be asking him this? Because throughout the old Testament are Prophecies of the Messiah. From the book of Genesis to Malachi, there are over 400 prophecies about the coming of the Messiah.

Jesus fulfilled all of these prophecies, the mathematic probabilities of someone fulfilling even a few of them is astronomical. But he fulfilled every prophecy throughout the Old Testament. Everything that happened to Jesus from the Virgin Birth (Isaiah 7) to his death (Isaiah 53) to his resurrection (Psalm 16) and hundreds of other prophecies were all fulfilled even down to the greatest detail of where he was born (Micah 5:2) and his name (Zechariah 6:11-12)

And Jesus said, “I am; and you shall see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN Mark 14:62

Jesus clearly states who he is , he firsts states that he is “I AM”, referencing (Exodus 3:14) The Jewish Leaders clearly understand who Jesus was confirming he is. Sitting at the right hand of God, there is no more powerful position to be at. In Jewish custom the first born son, who inherits everything, is blessed by the right hand of the Father.

Jesus is your Messiah! He is your Lord (Master) and Savior. He is coming back soon in the clouds with Power and Glory, Get Ready in Jesus Name Amen

Will You Listen?

“And I set watchmen over you, saying, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We will not listen.’ Jeremiah 6:17

Are you listening? Long ago there used to be people appointed called “Watchmen”, their job was to watch for the any danger and alert the people with the sound of a trumpet. It was vital that these people stayed focused and kept watch to alert their people. But as God said, even though the watchmen were blowing their trumpets, the people would still not listen

“And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. Matthew 24:31

When Jesus returns, the sound is described as a “Great Trumpet”. Will you be ready when the trumpet is blown? Are you watching and waiting for his return? Or are you saying “We will not listen”? Its important that we remain prepared and ready for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour Matthew 25:13

Just as Jesus taught in the parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25) You have to keep your lamps lit, nobody knows the day or hour of Christ return. Don’t be unprepared, don’t be like the foolish people who say “We will not listen”

The King of Kings is returning soon, with the sound of a trumpet, listen to your “Watchmen” of today! Don’t be left behind in Jesus Name Amen!
