And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’ Matthew 7:23

One of the scariest scriptures in the Bible for Christians, is this one. Jesus declaring “He never knew you” What does this mean for Christians? Can we lose our salvation?

The original Greek word for “Knew” is “ginosko” meaning “come to know” “understood” “recognize” “comprehend” “learn”

Jesus wants and requires a personal relationship with us. Many Christians “go through the religious motions” of being a good Christian, but do they know Christ and does Christ really know them. This is why I say “Jesus is a relationship and not a religion”  I know a lot of theologians don’t like that phrase, however its clearly true by the scripture

We know of way too many “Christians” who are trying to earn their salvation through works, rather then developing their personal relationship with Jesus. Many Christians seem to almost use Jesus as a sideshow for their religion, he should be the center of everything

And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. (KJV) Matthew 1:25

Here in the KJV, the word ginosko is used in relation to Mary and Josephs relationship. At this time Mary, was a Virgin and not married to Joseph, therefor he didn’t really know her intimately  or personally at this time. This just demonstrates how deep the word of “ginosko” can get.

“Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. Matthew 10:26

Here in the context of the scripture “ginosko” is being used in the opposite of concealed or hidden. Do you conceal or hide you are a Christian? Does the world know Jesus is your Lord and God? Jesus will reject those who does not know “ginosko”, make sure you have a relationship with Christ today!

Eternal Love

Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you deny Me three times. John 13:38

Most of us have good intentions just like Peter, we claim we will never deny Jesus, we claim we will always follow him, some of us might even claim we will lay down our lives for Christ. However when the time comes, our flesh kicks in and we fail again. We continually fail to meet the standards we spiritually set for ourselves

Peter said to Him, “Lord, why can I not follow You right now? I will lay down my life for You.” John 13:37

Peter didn’t understand what Jesus was about to do for the entire world, Jesus was about to lay down his life to save the world. Peter told Jesus he would be willing to lay down his own life for Christ. However when the time came, and Peters life became threatened, Peter not only denied Christ, he denied him 3 times!

Jesus already knew Peter would fail and deny him 3 times. This displays Jesus deity to know the future, because Jesus is God in the flesh, he is the beginning and the end

However Jesus still loved Peter anyway, no matter how much Peter failed to live up to expectations, Jesus still loved him. Does this mean we should blatantly deny Christ? Absolutely not, but don’t think that Gods love is so shallow that you cant return into his arms! Amen

Foolish People

For My people are foolish, They know Me not; They are stupid children And have no understanding. They are shrewd to do evil, But to do good they do not know.” Jeremiah 4:22

We live in a narcissistic age, I actually seen a new study on “how many people died while taking selfies” Seriously? People have such little value for human life that they risk their life to take a picture so they can brag about themselves on social media. We are a sick and perverse generation.

We believe we are so intelligent and superior that we convinced ourselves that we created ourselves. This is the most stupid thought that mankind has ever created. Darwin didn’t even know or realize that cells have DNA in them. He was blinded by his arrogance, just as most of the world is

Professing to be wise, they became fools, Romans 1:22

The more people go down this narcissistic, ego centric , rabbit hole the more foolish they become. Instead of people using logic and reasoning, they make up stories. Our Creator has laid out the beginning and the end. Our Creator gives us physical evidence right before our eyes. However we rebel and won’t submit to our Creator

The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7

Until you become in Awe of our Heavenly Father and Creator, you will never have understanding. A person living for the flesh cant understand spiritual things. Until we submit to God , accept Jesus as Lord, and be baptized by the Holy Spirit, we will never understand Amen!

Revelation Chapter 16-Bowls of Judgement

Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.” v1

The Final Judgement is here, a judgement that will be leading up to the restoration of the Kingdom of God. We’ll notice the similarities between the plagues of Egypt and the Bowls of Judgement in Revelation

Pour out Your wrath upon the nations which do not know You, And upon the kingdoms which do not call upon Your name. Psalm 79:6

So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. v2

The 1rst Bowl will be painful sores that will cover people, however notice these sores only effect the people who took the “mark of the beast”

We notice the 6th Plague in Egypt was the boils that covered the Egyptians who worshipped Pharaoh instead of God

So they took soot from a kiln, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses threw it toward the sky, and it became boils breaking out with sores on man and beast. Exodus 9:10

Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died.v3

The 2nd Bowl will be the sea becoming like blood and everything died within it. We can imagine the stench and devastation of all the world’s oceans turning into blood.

Again, notice the similarity to the 1rst plague of Egypt, the Nile River was turned into blood and everything died within it

So Moses and Aaron did even as the LORD had commanded. And he lifted up the staff and struck the water that was in the Nile, in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, and all the water that was in the Nile was turned to blood. Exodus 7:20

Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. And I heard the angel of the waters saying: “You are righteous, O Lord, The One who is and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due.” And I heard another from the altar saying, “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.” v4-7

The 3rd Bowl we  see the blood poured on the fresh drinking water of the world. God said this is symbolic for the bloodshed for the saints. So now at this time, all the water in the world has turned to blood and is not drinkable. Also all the sea life has totally perished.

Again we reference the plagues of Egypt and the similarities here to the Bowls of Judgment

‘Thus says the LORD, “By this you shall know that I am the LORD: behold, I will strike the water that is in the Nile with the staff that is in my hand, and it will be turned to blood. Exodus 7:17

And so upon you will come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Matthew 23:35

Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory. v8-9

The 4th Bowl here we see God controlling the Sun to scorch the wicked people of the Earth. Notice this is different than the plague of Egypt where God darkened the Sun to prove his power. Even with all these plagues , the people still didn’t repent, they even kept blaspheming Gods name

Notice they did not Repent

So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days. Exodus 10:22

“For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble; the day is coming when I will set them ablaze,” says the LORD of Hosts. “Not a root or branch will be left to them.” Malachi 4:1

Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds. v10-11

The 5th Bowl we now see the darkness of The Sun, as we saw in the plagues of Egypt. However even after all the power God has displayed and punishment he has inflicted, the wicked people still will not repent. They continue to blasphemy Gods name

They Did NOT Repent

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even a darkness which may be felt.” Exodus 10:21

Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. v12

The 6th Bowl is now the “Euphrates River” drying up, many believe that the “Euphrates River” is symbolic for the support/followers (Mark of the Beast)  of the Anti Christ system of Babylon. The real Euphrates River used to flow under the real city of Babylon

Setup Armageddon = armies to invade Israel

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove back the sea with a strong east wind that turned it into dry land. So the waters were divided, Exodus 14:21

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. v13-14

Satan’s days are numbered, and here he is sending demons (frogs) out all over the Earth to deceive the remaining people left to support him. God sent a plague of Frogs to Egypt during the Exodus, this was a foreshadow of this event to come. Note Frogs are considered unclean animals , meaning they are evil not pure

Satanic Trinity = Dragon, Beast, and False Prophet

Battle of that great day = Armageddon

So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt. Exodus 8:6

“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” v15

The end is coming, Christ ready to return to save Israel and judge the world (Romans 11, Zechariah 12-14)

For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:2

And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. v16

The Battle of Armageddon is about to take place! Many translations say the demonic spirits (frogs) led all the worldly armies to this battle. Satan believes he’s going to destroy Israel for good, what he doesn’t realize is he’s going to meet the Lion of Judah, Jesus Christ!

The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together, against the LORD and against His Anointed One: Psalm 2:2

Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. v17-18

The 7th Bowl and the Final Judgement has been unleashed, notice the angel declares “It Is Done”. It says it was the greatest Earthquake to ever happen on the Earth! Think about that, think of all the devastating Earthquakes throughout history. Nobody has seen anything like this before.

The Return of Christ, as prophesied splits the Mt of Olives in two to save Israel

Then the LORD will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south. Zechariah 14:3-4

Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. v19

The Great City here is “Spiritual Babylon” this is probably symbolic for Babylon is being totally destroyed. The False and Evil religious and political system is falling. God knows all the sins of Babylon and is pouring out his wrath upon them

 

Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great. v20-21

The Earthquake was so severe it destroyed mountains and islands just disappeared. Hailstones , 100 pounds each, are being thrown down on the wicked. Again we reference the plagues of Egypt as God sent hail down on Egypt. Also think about Sodom and Gomorra , where God totally destroyed these cities due to their wickedness. The End is Near for Satan and his followers

They still blasphemed God!

Now the coastlands tremble on the day of your downfall; the islands in the sea are dismayed by your demise.”’ Ezekiel 26:18

Moses stretched out his staff toward the sky, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the earth. And the LORD rained hail on the land of Egypt. Exodus 9:23

 

 

 

Washing Feet

Jesus answered and said to him, “What I do you do not realize now, but you will understand hereafter.” John 13:7

Imagine you are in the presence of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, you are in awe of his presence and just are thankful to be able to sit at his table. Not only is the Lord loving and accepting of you, he is going to wash your feet! What?! The Christ, God in the flesh, is going to wash my feet, who is worthy of this?

Peter said to Him, “Never shall You wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” John 13:8

This is exactly how Peter responded, Jesus cant wash my feet, he is our Lord and Master! But Jesus told Peter , if you don’t let him wash your feet, you can have no part with him. Jesus was showing his humility, the suffering servant (Isaiah 53) that the religious leaders missed in their scriptures.

If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. John 13:14

Jesus is the greatest leader by example, he humbled himself and washed the feet of his disciples, to show them the honor and humility they should show everyone else. See Jesus never commanded us to do anything that he hasn’t already done, that is a true leader

We need to continually remember to keep ourselves humble, nobody is greater than anyone else in the Kingdom. Only Jesus can wash us from our sins Amen!

Revelation Chapter 15-The 7 Bowls

Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete. v1

We begin a new scene of Gods Final Judgment and the victory over Satan! Notice the number 7 again, which symbolizes completion. 7 Angels/Messengers  + 7 plagues = wrath of God is finished

 

And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. v2

The “Sea of Glass” John mentions here is a mystery, in his imagery we can guess that because it’s a sea, it’s a very large area, therefor I would assume there are a large group of Christians standing here. The Fire I would be symbolic of the Holy Spirit that is empowering all of us Christians. Praising God by playing music and worshipping to the Lord in Victory!

Victory in Jesus!

 

They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your judgments have been manifested.” v3-4

The “Song of Moses” is the same song sang when the Israelites were freed in the Exodus and God parted the Red Sea for them. The parallels between the Exodus and Revelation are amazing. God sent the plaques to Egypt while God sent the Tribulation here. Moses freed the Israelites from slavery while Jesus has freed us from the slavery of sin and death. Egypt has the evil leader Pharaoh, while Revelation Satan has the Anti Christ

Regardless this is a time of celebration right now, as final Judgement is coming upon Satan and eternal victory through Christ and his followers!

Song of Mose + Song of the Lamb

Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and said, “I will sing to the LORD, for He is highly exalted; The horse and its rider He has hurled into the sea. Exodus 15:1

After these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened. And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothed in pure bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands. v5-6

The Temple of the Tabernacle of Testimony, we can assume this is the Ark of the Covenant (The Ten Commandments) meaning Justice has been served! No longer will evil remain on this Earth, its being purged along with Satan and his followers

Notice the 7 Angels have golden sashes around their chests. This is symbolic for authority given to them. They have been granted authority by God to carry out final judgement of the Earth and Satan

7 Angles + 7 Plagues = Judgment of God

who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, just as Moses was warned by God when he was about to erect the tabernacle; for, “SEE,” He says, “THAT YOU MAKE all things ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN WHICH WAS SHOWN YOU ON THE MOUNTAIN.” Hebrews 8:5

Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever. The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed. v7-8

The Bowls of Gods wrath are about to be unleashed on the Earth. Notice the Temple was filled with smoke, the smoke symbolizing Gods presence. Nobody was able to enter the Temple until it was finished! This is the final judgement , no second chances, time is up!

and within it was the form of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: Ezekiel 1:5

 

Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. John 19:30

Circumcision of Christ

“Circumcise yourselves to the LORD And remove the foreskins of your heart, Men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Or else My wrath will go forth like fire And burn with none to quench it, Because of the evil of your deeds.” Jeremiah 4:4

Circumcision has often been debated, why did God require this? What purpose did circumcision have? In many ways throughout the Old Testament, God shows us foreshadows of his final revelation. God often gives us physical examples, so we can understand them spiritually.

For example, circumcision is still practiced in the medical field today. Why? Because the act of circumcision helps prevent males from contracting urinary tract infections, penile cancer, and STD’s. In short, circumcision keeps us cleaner and less susceptible to disease

Notice God here told Israel to “Circumcise their Heart” this is obviously figuratively. However we can understand his analogy based on the actual practice of circumcision. What is the foreskin of the heart? Pride, Anger, Hatred, Bitterness, arrogance. Until we remove these things from our hearts, we will never understand God

and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; Colossians 2:11

When you repent and accept Jesus as your Lord, you become circumcised at the heart by the Holy Spirit. This is a permanent change, not a temporary change. When you become “Born Again” you are changed forever. But we must first become “Circumcised Spiritually” by removing our old ways and Sin

God is calling everyone to become “Circumcised at the Heart” through Jesus Christ! Create in me a clean heart Jesus Amen!
