In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:1-3

Those who don’t believe Jesus is God in the flesh, they don’t know the real Jesus. Here the Apostle John explains to us how the Father and Son are One God yet separate entities. This is hard for our human minds to comprehend , but would you really expect God to be easily grasped by mere humans? If God were so simple as a piece of wood or iron, would you be in awe of him?

Charles Spurgeon writes “If Jesus isn’t God then were are all idolaters” of course I’m paraphrasing here but old Charles is right. If Jesus isn’t God why are you even a Christian? How can you come into complete worship , unless you believe Jesus is Immanuel? You can’t , because if you don’t believe Jesus is God, then you will refrain from worshipping him. Which is the rejection of Christ!

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

The Word , Jesus Christ, was made human and lived with us. Can you image God became human to live with us? To teach us his ways, to die for our sins, and to defeat death and Satan! This was prophecied throughout the Old Testament, the Seed, Immanuel, The Son called Mighty God would be born!

A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. Luke 2:32

There was a man named Simon, who was filled with the Holy Spirit, and God told him he would not die until he saw the Messiah (Christ) On the day Jesus was brought to the temple for the day of consecration, the Holy Spirit revealed to Simon, Jesus is the Messiah!

Simon quoted the prophet Isaiah , who foretold that the Messiah would not only save Israel, but will also save the entire world. Jesus didn’t just come to save the Jewish people, he also came as the light of the Gentiles to bring everyone into his New Covenant made by the shedding of his blood

This is a glorious event, as before Christ came, the Gentiles were on the outside of Gods covenant. However because of Christ, and his sacrifice he made for us all, we can be Born Again into Gods New Covenant by the blood of Jesus Christ! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God

And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. Luke 2:34-35

The child, Jesus Christ was born, has come to break down the religious establishment and give us a personal relationship with God. Jesus is like a sword that pierces the soul, some accept him some reject him, but the truth is once you meet Jesus you will never be the same again

The light of the world, Jesus Christ, has brought his light into our darkness and delivered us from sin and death. Glory to God in the highest Amen!

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

This prophecy written by Isaiah over 700 years before Jesus was born, gives us immense insight on who Jesus truly is. A child is born, meaning God is going to become human to deliver us. Can we even begin to fathom an Eternal God taking on human form to live among us? This seems impossible or maybe even incomprehensible. But this is what God did to have a relationship with You!

Is there any question or doubt that Jesus is God? Notice the title in the prophecy given to Christ, The Mighty God. Since we know there is only One God, then we know Jesus is The Mighty God. If Jesus isn’t the Mighty God then this prophecy isn’t about him, then who would this prophecy be about? Who else fulfilled over 300 Messianic prophecies of the scriptures?

You might say, how can Jesus be The Mighty God and die on the cross? The Mighty God is a Triune God consisting of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You might say, I don’t understand therefore its not true! Do you understand how the universe came into existence, do you understand how every planet and star were formed and put in their place? You can’t even begin to fathom God, why do you believe you understand his nature?

The Christ has come! This is a reason to celebrate, this is a reason to repent and receive your Lord and God in Jesus name Amen!
