Then Joshua said to the children of Israel: “How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers has given you? Joshua 18:3

How long will you neglect the way God has made for you? Many people have no interest in reading the Old Testament, they have no interest in reading about Joshua who is leading God’s people into the promised land that God prepared for them! This is a foreshadow of our Christian walk, are you like one of these stubborn Israelites who will neglect the promise of our Father?

First, who is leading? If your trying to lead yourself , then this is why you are lost! There is one leader, The Lord of Hosts, Joshua or better known as Jesus. There is no coincidence God raised up a better Moses named Yeshua, the one who will not fail, the one who is obedient to our Father and fulfills the mission. Unlike Moses, because of his lack of faith, failed to see and lead Gods people into the Promised Land

You might say “This has nothing to do with me” Do you know Jesus Christ is “The Way, The Truth, and The Life, Nobody can some to The Father except through Me (Christ) (John 14:6) Jesus is the Way to the Promised Land and Jesus has prepared The Way, the question is why are you still neglecting your salvation?

The Victory is already ours in Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15) O death where is your sting? O grave where is your victory? Christ has conquered, Christ has overcome, Christ has defeated the greatest enemy, death! (1 Corinthians 15:26) So why are you neglecting your victory? Just like the Israelites were afraid to crossover into their Promised Land because of their enemies, many have not truly trusted in Christ by faith for their victory in Jesus!

You might say, “This has happened long ago, this has nothing to do with me”! Do you understand you are in a Spiritual Battle? (Ephesians 6) Do you understand their is a war for your soul? Satan wants to devour you (1 Peter 5:7) but Christ wants to save you! But you neglected The Way! You neglected your Victory in the Promised Land! You neglected your time of prayer, you neglected your time in the Bible, you neglected your worship and service to the Church. You neglected your Victory, because you neglected your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

As the martyred saints keep saying ““How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” (Revelation 6:10) Jesus Christ , our Captain of The Lord of Hosts (Joshua 5:14) is coming back to setup His eternal Kingdom that will never end! Neglect The Lord no longer, come to Jesus and you shall find rest! (Matthew 11:28) Amen!
