Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

As the fallen world celebrates “Pride Month” let this be a reminder by the Holy Spirit, that Pride goes before destruction. Pride is the root of all sin, it was Pride that enticed Satan to leave his heavenly domain and try to exalt himself like God (Isaiah 14) It was pride that led Adam and Eve to partake in the knowledge of good and evil, to make themselves like God (Genesis 3) It was Pride that lead Judas to sell the Son of God for thirty pieces of silver (Matthew 26:15) and it will be Pride when many are cast into the Lake of Fire on the day of judgement (Revelation 20:14)

So why is the world obsessed with Pride? Well because the world is carnally minded, the world lives for the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16) To be carnally minded is death (Romans 8:6) When you understand the fallen condition of humanity, it’s no surprise to the Child of God the state of the world. They are dead in their trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2) 

This is why Jesus said “Unless you are Born Again, You won’t see the Kingdom of God” (John 3:3) You must be regenerated, you must be spiritually brought back to life, otherwise your just a carnal animal, like a dog that keeps going back to its own vomit (Proverbs 26:11) This is why you can’t reason with the unsaved, this is why the world has no problem celebrating Pride, because they are headed to destruction. They are like sheep headed to the slaughter , they are like dumb cattle, there is no spirit within them

But the good news is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, can set you free! (John 8) The breathe of God, the Holy Spirit, can raise a valley of dry bones, it can raise the carnal into a mighty Church! But you need to be Born Again, you need the blood of The Lamb to cleanse your sins, you need the Holy Spirit to baptize you , you need to be drawn by God The Father!

A Haughty spirit will lead you to eternal Hell FIre, while the Spirit of God will regenerate you into Paradise , Amen!
